Italian by Night is an urban Italian restaurant and bar with a cuisine focused on old world techniques in a modern kitchen.

A romantic Italian restaurant in Uptown Saint John with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor is a mix of rustic exposed brick and wood beams, as well as elegant touches like linen tablecloths, fresh flowers and candles on the tables.

The menu offers a wide variety of Italian dishes, ranging from classic favorites like pizza and pasta to more upscale options like seafood, steaks, and excellent wine list. We use fresh ingredients, with a focus on high-quality flavors and presentation.

We offer corporate and wedding buyouts in a gorgeous venue with ample seating and layout, excellent food, attentive service, and a memorable atmosphere that is perfect for any special occasion. A personalized menu and experience will reflect your unique tastes and preferences.

We offer a private dining room for smaller groups.

Our beautiful open space concept can host up to 183 guests in a stand-up cocktail reception format or 120 guests for a seated dining experience.     First time visit to Italian By Night. Celebrating my wife's birthday. Our meals were FANTASTIC! Madelyn (spelling?); our server; was extremely personable and attentive, and added to our experience. We WILL be back.😊👍

    Great little Gen in Saint John, NB!!! Loved everything about it, food was delicious, our server was fabulous! My family resides in Toronto where we have excellent restaurants... My Mom's side is from SJ so, grew up coning here.... I love how much the city has evolved! I highly recommend it!!

    Really great food. Really good service. Disappointed that our waiter told us that there were people waiting for our table. Killed the evening.

    This was the most recent of many trips from Fredericton to Saint John specifically to go to Italian by Night. We love going there and the trip is worth it. From the time we walk in until we leave, the ambience is so nice. It's a happy place. The staff is so well trained, cheerful and friendly, and see to your every need. The food never disappoints. With so many wonderful choices on the menu, it is difficult to make a choice. If you are looking for an excellent dining experience, we would highly recommend Italian by Night.

    We’ve been many times, the food is always good and service too. The biggest problem for me was that the chair I was seated in is old with no padding and poorly back supported. I was very sore after my meal which is crazy for an upscale restaurant. Another man who sat at the table next to us commented that his seat was hard-same kind of chair. It seems trivial but this needs to be fixed-if I went back and they tried to seat me there, I would insist on another chair or to be moved to another table with the better chairs. If that didn’t work, we’d have to leave without eating.
