Isot Mediterranean Cuisine
Grilled lamb with red onions, parsley and tomatoes
Went there on a Saturday night and even though it was busy, there were only 2 servers on the floor and they were so attentive and pleasant. Food again was delicious and definitely recommend this place!
The food was spectacular. The staff was very helpful and accommodating - especially to modify foods to be gluten free. Definitely will be going back!
It was our first time here and it was wonderful. Our server was so great as well as the food. We will definitely be frequenting here for sure! Highly recommend it.
Food was great. Portions perfect. Didn’t know this was a BYOB place so bring your own wine! Service was very slow but they were so friendly and accommodating. I will still go back.
Isot was very good! The decor is enchanting and food was delicious. The yogurt dill starter is one of my favorites. The lamb kebab was wonderful! They even take the meat off the kebab for you! The pita is delicious also.
Really enjoyed. Generous portions and great food. Service with a smile and open heart. We live in DC and will definitely visit again.
The perfect is the service. One of the best in Philadelphia!
The food is amazing, very diverse and well done. The servings are small though - making the value not the best for the buck. Place design is good and with a taste. The TV's show repeating commercials of the venue, which is weird and annoying after time.
Over all a must experiences, and with some improvements to the price/portions size it can be a weekly to go place!
Good food! Great service! Will be back! Dim the lights a bit and make it a bit more cozy :)
All of the appetizers were fabulous! We had the mixed plate dips. I loved all of them except the Russian potato salad. The beef/lamb soup was great. The beef/lamb dumplings were in a cream sauce with Turkish spices. It was great but filling. We also had a patty that was on top of lettuce and tomato that was good. Most of the mentioned had a hot spice. I liked it. The chicken kabob was disappointing. The chicken was not that flavorful. It was in a curry yogurt marinade. The rice was cold and not that flavorful. The sautéed vegetables were limp and had too much oil in them.
Food was absolutely amazing and we felt like we had the restaurant to ourselves. It is BYO. The salads are so fresh. I did the steak kabob which melted in my mouth. We tried both desserts which were fantastic. Perfect for a date night. Can’t wait to go back.
I love this place.
I had the Menemen, Spinach & Feta Cheese Borek, Haydari, and the Abuganoush. They were all excellent. The dining experience was great, and the staff was well wary and precautionary about COVID measures. Will definitely visit again. Highly recommend.
We really enjoyed the opportunity of dining inside as we ordered carry out several times during the height of the pandemic. Our server was welcoming and the food exemplary of Mediterranean cuisine. The atmosphere is spacious and social distancing restrictions were obviously followed. Definitely recommend to friends and family.
I was blown away by my dining experience at Isot. We were immediately greeted with a warm welcome by our host and waiter, Sarbet. He promptly showed us to our seats and made us feel right at home. Realizing that we were unfamiliar with Turkish cuisine, Sarbet suggested several menu items to give us the most authentic and comprehensive taste of the Mediterranean. We started with the mixed meze platter, and then moved onto the beyran soup, followed by our main course of lamb chops, beef kebabs and chicken things with sides of rice, salad, and sautéed vegetables. Everything was delicious. We treated ourselves to a desert of traditional baklava which was a sweet and flaky delight. Our waiter Sarbet was incredibly friendly, the restaurant was quiet and cozy, and the food was outstanding.
Great place with nice decor, good food, and very friendly service.
The food was delicious and service was very good as well. Glad we tried this place!
So glad I tried this place. The food was delicious and the staff was so friendly! Perfect place to catch up with a friend and enjoy great food! Going to come back!
The food was delicious! We received a complimentary Turkish drink and app to start the meal, followed by lamb and beef little dumplings, kabobs(variety), fresh salads, grilled vegetables, and rice. Everything was fresh and so very tasty! Service was fantastic! So friendly. We will definitely go back!
Delightful! Delicious food, authentic just like in Turkey! Wonderful place, great decorations and music, and the staff is very friendly! I love Turkish culture!
The food is always amazing I highly recommend
Food was all cooked to perfection. Service was excellent.
This is a wonderful neighborhood BYOB for anyone that enjoys this type of cuisine. Lots from which to choose, very friendly helpful staff and fair prices.
This has become one of our go to neighborhood places. The food is excellent and the service is warm and caring. also, it's a BYOB which is always good.
Great neighborhood destination! The entrees were interesting and delicious. We tasted a variety of dishes and enjoyed all of them. Our server was wonderful! Thanks for an enjoyable evening!
Food was delicious and service was perfect!
Great food. Only negative was excess noise from a party upstairs. Would definitely recommend and return again.
We went for New Years Eve Dinner and had a wonderful time. We we're seated in the upstairs area. The service was wonderful, everyone there was super nice. We had an amazing meal, I highly recommend getting some of the platter options for the table. They brought us so much food it was delightful.
I would highly recommend this BYOB, especially if you enjoy sharing your meal with your table.
The service was amazing and the food was great and reasonably priced. It was not too loud, good for conversation.
This is my 4th time coming here... I love this place, ambience, food and excellent service
Isot is a hidden gem in Queen Village’s growing collection of ethnic dining venues. The friendly and attentive staff carefully cater to your needs at this cozy byob establishment. The menu’s extensive array of Turkish fare features numerous grilled chicken, beef and lamb main courses that are delicately spiced to please any palate. We chose the mezze platter which offered a variety of delicious spreads with pita bread as our starter. The salads and grilled veggies were fresh and tasty sides for the mixed grill for four that was our shared main course. Rice pudding and baklava were the perfect ending to this incredible dining experience. I recommend that you chill a bottle of your favorite wine and make a beeline to Isot soonest, as this immersive Turkish culinary experience is not to be missed.
The food was outstanding:lentil soup was unusual and delicious. A lamb and eggplant appetizer in yogurt sauce was outstanding. The owner and wait staff were friendly and welcoming. I might be returning with another group tomorrow!
Friendly staff and delicious food! The restaurant is tastefully decorated and very pleasant.
Our 2nd Thanksgiving dinner here in a row. Absolutely love the food and the service is great. Would highly recommend Isot for any occasion - we will certainly be back.
The food was extraordinary and abundant. The service was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable but not solicitous. The decor was minimalist but tasty and not distracting. Great restaurant. I have no idea why this is not top 20 in Philly, but it should be. This was our anniversary. We may have started a trend for same time next year, and so on.... We will also be back in the interim. A gem of a place.
Everything was incredible, from the staff to the food, and we will definitely be back! While we enjoyed everything we ordered, the chicken kabob platter definitely stole the show. The chicken was tender and so flavorful! We also really enjoyed the feta and cheese boreks. I meant to take pics of all of our food, but couldn’t spare a moment and had to dive right in. PS thanks Munice for a great experience!
Great authentic vibes & great food for a great price. The service was also very good – the owner checked in on us to make sure we were enjoying our meal, and they brought over a complimentary appetizer on the house. We got the mixed mezze, hot hummus, and chicken kabobs. All of the dishes were delicious – I'd especially recommend the hot hummus. It was not crowded or loud. Would recommend as a great BYO and authentic meal.
A must try if you’re in the area. The amuse bouche and tea is a really nice touch. Everything was extremely fresh. The dips were delicious. The bronzini was exceptional. Save room for the Baklava, it is a MUST have.
Service very friendly and warm. We were given a complimentary "traditional Turkish beverage" (non alcoholic) that tasted of lemon and cloves. Delicious. We ordered a salad and the chicken and lamb kabobs. The salad was not necessary because the kabobs came with the same cucumber/tomato/onion/parsley salad, but there are 2 other salads and many appetizers to choose from. The entrees also came with pickled red cabbage and sautéed vegetables. Everything was delicious and fresh. The chicken and lamb were especially flavorful and moist. Cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this BYOB.
Best service I’ve experienced in a long time. So friendly and food was great. BYO makes it a great value.
