   Isola is quite a nice find in Edgartown. If you want authentic Italian with a friendly waitstaff and a truly unlimited food selection, then it’s the place to go to. Meatballs were amazing and the sausage with broccoli rabe was ridiculously delicious!

   Second time at Isola and we were not disappointed. Very good wine selection and delicious entrees, salads and desserts.

   Enjoyed all of our food, pastas home made delicious, striped bass and scallop entree excellent, caesar salad done on the grill --- wonderful

   We have been there on a couple of occasions, so the food is not bad and the overall atmosphere is pleasant. I think the one thing that I must say is that the owner/host can be a little abrupt. On one occasion we were having a late dinner, but the place was not closing anytime soon. We were finishing our drinks and talking a little and the owner came over and basically told us we needed to wrap it up. There was still a half filled bar that didn't appear to be leaving anytime soon, so we felt a little rushed. When we went in the other night the twon was pretty busy with a fishing derby going on. We had made 7 pm reservations but found it difficult to find a parking spot nearby, SO I ended up parking several blocks away. I had dropped off my date at the restaurant because we were already 10 minutes late. She walked in and gave our reservation to him and rather than saying welcome or any other greeting he simply said, "You're late". So it was a little uncomfortable to start with. Overall the food was decent and the Pinot Noir was tasty and fairly reasonable in price.

   Isola is one of the few Martha’s Vineyard’s year-round Restaurant so if you reside on island or whatever time you visit, you can count on them offering outstanding cuisine, cocktails, and dessert.

   Pizza Joint Atmosphere at Fine Dining Prices Disappointing experience with high prices, even by Vineyard standards, indifferent service and mediocre food quality. By way of background, we have been coming to the Vineyard for over 30 years where we have frequented most of the restaurants. There are other venues In Edgartown which charge comparable prices but offer a significantly more enjoyable dining ambiance and better food.

   The evening was overall average. We ordered the lobster with polenta which was the bright side and the ribeye which in past reviews came highly recommended. The steak tasted more like a sirloin and was fairly tough and unflavorful. Perhaps we just ordered the wrong thing on the menu. The service was fine. Nothing exceptional.

   Drinks, Apps and Entrees were all very good. Staff and service were great too. Highly recommend.

    Best meal on Martha's Vinyard! I wanted to find a restaurant that served excellent food but wasn't too fussy or pretentious, and we hit the jackpot. This is a family-owned gem with the full spectrum of food from pizza to the most delicious homemade pastas to a memorable house-cured ribeye grilled to perfection. I mentioned it was my parents anniversary and the owner and his son went out of their way to make them feel special. Cannot say good enough things about the food and the waitstaff. It was the first time in many days that I wasn't made to feel like just another tourist.
