This is our first stop when we come to Melbourne to visit our daughter and let me tell you...this meal is worth the 9 1/2 hour drive. Don’t bother with the menu, just order the onion crusted fish. It is fabulous and I usually have mashed potatoes (the real deal folks) and fried spinach which is delicious and light as air! I highly recommend this jewel!

The food, atmosphere, and service are consistently great at Islsnds Fish Grill. We don’t mind paying a little more knowing we are eating locally-caught fresh fish.

We had a lovely table and the the staff was inviting. From the appetizer to the meal it was delicious. The wine selections were vast and we ended up with a fabulous bottle that paired well with everything we ate. Will absolutely be back again.

The food was excellent! We went on Valentine’s day and they had a 3 course set menu with several good choices. I got the onion-crusted grouper and my husband got the mahi mahi. We sat in a small room that was intimate but not a super great atmosphere. But the food definitely made up for it. My lobster bisque was delicious and so was the key lime pie! We will definitely come back!

We were initially seated next to a “party” group. Ask the manager to reseat our table and our potentially miserable evening became a memorable. Thanks for accommodating our request!!

I picked Islands after reading the menu and having our original reservation cancelled due to COVID at the restaurant. It was fantastic. If you overlook it because of its location you are missing a great spot. We both ordered fresh catch specials. Our server came to us while we deciding to let us know that there was only one cut left of one of the specials. Excellent service. He provide great recommendations on the sides and toppings for our selections. The Shrimp and Crab Mac & Cheese was fabulous. We look forward to our next date there.

I have been here several times in the past. They have improved their recipe for the onion crusted fish. It was the best fish that me and my three table mates have ever had.

Waiter was great & the two fish selections he recommended were excellent. Onion crusted Trigger fish & Grilled Covina were wonderful. The only downer was finding parking in the pouring rain.

Fresh fish cooked to perfection every time. The grits and fried spinach are a must with any fish. Friendly staff and great service.

Our third time visiting Island Fish Grill. We’re only in Florida from Wisconsin for a month but MUST eat here each year! Amazing food and great service!! Easily the best fish I have ever eaten.

As a retired chef I am a food snob! All aspects of dining were excellent! Hats of to the kitchen for creativity in preparation of menu items!! Fish is always fresh!! Awesome!!!

This was our third time there and it has been exceptional every time. We had guests in town, and all of them said that it was the best meal they’ve had in some time. Small, welcoming atmosphere. The owners walked around to tables to make sure everything was ok. Nice touch. You will not be disappointed in the meal.

We have been going here for years when we are in Melbourne and have always had a stellar experience. This time, it was not so good. It took a long time to get our food and the food wasn't up to par. We were told that there was a new chef, so out of all fairness, we will visit again on our next visit before making our final decision.

This is my go to place when in Melbourne when visiting on business trips from Arizona. I also bring coworkers here. The seafood is caught fresh daily. Creative specials. I could eat here almost every night when in town and never repeat a dish. I've been coming for years and the owner Lori always remembers me. My co-workers have also never been disappointed in the food or service. They have all said it was excellent.

Wow! The food was superb and all freshly made that day. The fish was delicious and so fresh. The gnocchi is what I will be dreaming about for days. Also, you must-must get the handmade Key Lime Pie. This is a local spot and worth the visit. I’m so glad we ventured out and gave this place a try during our day visit to Melbourne Beach. Highly recommend and our waiter, Trevor, was a delight. If you’re looking for local/fresh seafood this is the place to go.

Food is creative and well prepared. Fresh ingredients and perfect seasoning elevated freshly caught fish from the area, something that is harder to find than you might expect.

Need to dampen the sound and put family’s with small children in the other part of the restaurant. Reserve the front section for couples and dinners looking for a special evening.
