   Not worth it they couldn’t cook my wife’s steak right sent back the first one brought the wrong one back out still not cooked right and my steak was over cooked we ordered medium rare it was medium well both times we left the lights were bright it was super loud in there terrible to go for your 1 year Anniversary we left and will never go back

   We arrived later than our reservation due to the HORRENDOUS traffic on the road to Clearwater Beach. We were stuck on the bridge for 45 minutes, and a couple walking beat us to the restaurant. Fortunately, the restaurant called to ensure we were coming and to hold our table. So, we were kind of rushed due to our reservation at the end of the day. The restaurant was 'breaking down' the buffet about 40 minutes after we arrived. Valet parking helped, good attendants. The staff got us to a table, in good spirits, quickly. The buffet was somewhat overwhelming - so much good food. Food quality was good and table service was excellent (the free Mimosa didn't hurt either) Oysters on the half shell, fresh shrimp, roast beef, sushi, a vegan table, hot breakfast dishes, an extensive salad table, and a dessert table with many wonderful choices. Finally, you could order additional items from your server - Eggs Benedict, Avacado Toast, Fresh Fruit, etc. Overall an excellent dining experience. Lesson Learned: book a reservation earlier in the day and not on a national holiday!!

   Sitting outside for Sunday brunch is a treat at Island Way Grill. A wide variety with nice presentations and an abundance of food was available. The weather made for a perfect setting. Our only complaint was about our server. She greeted us in the beginning and then disappeared until the end. No water refills, no plates removed, and no opportunity to order another Bloody Mary. Other than that, the brunch at Island Way grill is not to miss.

    Not quite as good as last week because lobster tail was much smaller and not quite as tasty. Service was still good. Daughter loved her chicken piccata. The house salad with pumpkin seeds is unique and flavorful.

    Our experience at Island Way Grill was amazing! We have been to one of their sister restaurants- Salt Rock Multiple times however this was our first time here, it will definitely not be our last! We enjoyed both of our drinks, appetizers, meals, and overall experience. Please keep the orange marmalade scallop appetizer special!! They were the best thing we have ever had!

    We had a reservation and still waited an hour for our table. When we questioned this the response from the hostess was, “everyone has a reservation.” I don’t think they know what the word reservation actually means.

    I’ve been to Island Way Grill many times, but last night May have been the best meal I’ve had there! House salad, lobster tail with wasabi mashed potatoes, bread with seasoned dipping. Delicious!!! I may have to go back next week. 😀

    Waiter was not polished and unprofessional. Food was good but a little haphazardly prepared. Have been to Island Way many times. This experience was not up to previously established standards. Will try again but with some reservation…. Sorry to see that one of our favorite places in Clearwater hasn’t maintained standards post Covid.

    Great food and reasonably priced for a tourist area. Great service. The key lime pie was amazing. I had the ribeye…cooked perfectly. My wife had the grouper Piccatta style…very good.

    Very disappointed. They handed us a pager and told us approximately 30 minutes to wait when we arrived for our reservation. 2 other parties told us they waited more than an hour for their reservations. We luckily were seated approximately 25 minutes after our reservation and inside. My wife tried to order fish but they were out of grouper, mahi-mahi, and salmon. This was also one of the loudest restaurants that I have ever eaten at. Noise level at hurt your ears levels. This was the 3rd dinner of our long weekend. It’s the only one we did not rate a 5.

    We had a terrible experience. The server could not be bothered and would not stay long enough to finish your thought or order. We waited incredibly long in between each time we saw her. Complained to management and he brushed us off. Food was overpriced and tasted terrible. Sent back our food but management would not fix the complaint and we paid almost $200 for food sent back to the kitchen.

    We had to wait 15 min to get seated for a reservation. It’s not call ahead seating! And when we did get seated ,there were plenty of tables open. The food was very good ! However, it was very disappointing that they were out of many of menu options.

    First time dining at Island Way Grill! Great experience and staff friendly. I had a steak dinner it was absolutely delicious 🤤 and I loved the waterfront view. I recommend this restaurant to anyone. Oh forgot about the Valet guys were a plus working hard to move cars in and out!

    Food delicious, nice server but relatively incompetent, had to ask for menu item 4 x, appetizers served and part of dish was served after appetizer was served, table was not cleared of dishes and glasses until asked, after all of this server sits down at our table to show me pictures of his dog.     We're now at the age where we go out during the week so we get the experience and the vibe...and this place delivered! Our waiter Justin was awesome! Courteous, funny, and very knowledgeable about the menu. The ambience was great... i mean, who can complain about a sunset dinner by the water. The food 10/10...that lamb🤤🤤 the mash...🤤🤤🤤🤤 the steak🤤😩😩😩🤤🤤🤤 and dont get me started on th warm butter cake.🫠🫠🫠.... will we be back? Bet on it!

    Our Server, Tiffany, did a great job with our table of 3 adults. We sat outdoors and the weather and food were both great. The fresh bread and dipping oil were both delicious. The Florida Roll Appetizer was good enough to be my entree. The Edamame was very fresh. The single Lobster tail was also very good. The Chicken Piccata had a nice buttery taste with just enough lemon-not overwhelming. The Duroc Pork Chop is always delicious and does not lose its tenderness when rewarmed the next day. We took home and enjoyed the Turtle Cheesecake. We are from out-of-town and always go to Island Way Grill when in the Clearwater,Fl. area.
