Island Way Grill
Grand Marnier beurre blanc
Not as good as usual but since they are just reopening should be expected
No employees wore masks nor did they follow 6 foot rule for tables or employees. Food usually good but was not up to par this time. Would not return in near future
Steak and lobster was great. My fiancé had the salmon. Argentinian red wine was phenomenal.
The food was fantastic! Ambience on the water was lovely. Our server wasn’t the brightest tool in the shed. My boyfriend left his expensive pair of sunglasses on the table, we called and they couldn’t find them. Clearly they have some shady staff members that swiped them. Disappointed in that. Otherwise I’d recommend.
The coconut shrimp appetizer was a generous portion. My twin South African lobster tails were delicious as was the créeme brûlée. My only negative would be we had to ask for a bread basket and the bread was not fresh. Also, had to ask our waiter several times for a water refill and the restaurant was not that busy. Overall, it was good.
Most of the servers were not wearing masks which was a little surpising. The cocktails were average at best. The appetizers were good and main course was fair. My wine glass was dirty. The service was fair but the overall experience was poor. We will not be turning again.
Miguel did great service. My stuffed grouper was horrible. Nothing but breading in stuffing. No shrimp or crab. Dry. Hardly any sauce. Tried to order 3 different bottles of wine and none of them matched the vintage years listed. Bar manager acknowledged it and apologized.
Food for all 4 people in our party was below 10 on 1-10 scale. Very bad experience. Would never go back.
Manuel was great though. Not his fault.
Not a memorable birthday dinner for my 60th which we hoped would be special.
I was very impressed with the efforts to social distance and use the entire restaurant to spread out tables. Our server Bobbie was wonderful. All staff worse masks. The restaurant was kept very clean. The atmosphere was wonderful. The food was impressive. We ordered King Crab and Surf & Turf. Neither was disappointing. We will return. Bravo!
We were celebrating our daughter’s graduation.
Very little social distancing
No face masks
They forgot to give us flatware and napkins
Waiter was rude
First round of drinks had to be sent back
They forgot to put the sauce on the lemon piccata (chicken cutlet, linguini and capers...no lemon sauce)
Light fish entree was served over heavy root vegetables (not as listed on the menu)
We ordered dessert “to go” and they failed to provide napkins and utensils again
Food and service were great. Nice seating areas.
The host and hostess warmly greeted us and seated us on the patio with a table overlooking the marina. Jason and crew could not have been nicer.
Seafood was fresh and delicious.
My highest recommendation.
They food was absolutely amazing. The oyster Rockefeller was the best I have ever had.
Great spot for a nicer dinner!
Food, cocktails and service all excellent. It would be a challenge to find a better place to dine in Clearwater.
Greeter was very pleasant, server needs to be retrained. Brought red instead of white wine, we had to ask for the bread basket, did not know how many oysters came with order, 4-5 it came with 6, grouper was fatty and under cooked but ate it anyway, water glasses were not refilled except dumping a few ounces from a nearby table one time. I asked if there was a Birthday desert as it was my dates birthday, no reply. First time there, not impressed.
We eat here on Sunday night where the service was very good; however, the food was mixed. The grouper was off the charts good; crab cakes were very good but the lamb chops were drenched in cream sauce and not very good. Lamb chops were probably one of the worst I have had...
Excellent food, service and ambience. Would definitely dine here again!
It was a busy night so service was slow just due to volume. It was a beautiful night and we were able to sit on the deck & have a great sunset view. Our server was friendly & personable. I got the red snapper grilled with rice which was phenomenal. My date got the grouper, shrimp & scallop special. Unfortunately it wasn't described very well so it was not what were were e expecting at all. The sauce overpowered the dish which took away from the delicious fresh seafood. It was disappointing. The pina colada I ordered was sour tasting. Overall good visit, but not great like I was expecting.
We had a wonderful Sunday brunch. this is the fourth time we have been there for Brunch and we are always pleased
My family and I LOVE it here! We always come for birthdays and anytime we want to celebrate anything really. Food is always delicious and service is wonderful!
Was not please at all......hot food was cold, cold food was hot.....Service was terrible,
We enjoyed an outside table on the water. Everything was wonderful!
Early bird special is the best value in town - great venue
Great meal and service!
Island Way Grill is definitely one of our Clearwater favorites!
always a favorite spot when we are visiting Clearwater! Freshest seafood around!
The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog. xxxxxxxxxxx
Nice atmosphere, in a great location. Steak was overcooked.
Traveling on vacation and booked this well in advance based on reviews and location. The interior restaurant has an odd floor plan. Does not seem efficient for staff delivering food, etc. We were seated outside which was very pleasant. Food was good. Cost reasonable. Service inconsistent. I would recommend this restaurant.
Great for outdoor dining been their before always good food if your a early diner specials for food and drink till 5:30
It was a Sunday Evening and towards the end of the night.
It was a large selection of seafood prepared anyway you like.
Beautiful place, very good food, great and friendly service.
Sunday brunch. Second time. Excellent value, awesome food selections and great service.
Ambiance is excellent. Food is very good . Oysters, roast beef and salmon variety keep me coming back. Desert bar and coffee also excellent. Complimentary drink adds to value. Prices have gone up recently. I guess as with everything else. No inflation unless you want to buy something.
Great brunch. Sat outside perfect weather. NOT unlimited mimosas but our server did advise us. My 11 year old charged adult price. Food was a 7 on scale of 1 to 10.
The food was fine, as always. My family has been dining here for many years. We actually hired the facility to provide the wedding celebration dinner for my younger daughter. The wait time for a table seemed a bit excessive, prompting me to wonder if a reservation was worth the effort.
Great value, good quality food. Our server was very good. Loved the complimentary mimosa. Only thing lower quality was the selection of baked products. The croissants were particularly disappointing, but otherwise I would highly recommend it to others.
Absolutely love! Whenever we visit, we make sure to reserve brunch here. Everyone must come and try!
Worst service I have ever received. So rushed! The server acted like it was not his job to answer menu questions, and he was very rude. I will never go back, and I will never recommend.
