Island Way Grill
The food was delicious. We're going back again tomorrow
Fantastic places. Music inside made conversations across our party of 9 difficult. We asked for it to be turned down but never wS.
We've been for dinner a number of times, but this time we went for the Sunday Brunch when my sister was in town. Fabulous! One of the best we've been to. I thought the price was very reasonable for everything you have to choose from. I believe it was just under $30 a person. It came with a mimosa and chocolate cappuccino, sushi rolls, croissants, muffins, made to order omelettes, standing prime rib roast, great selection of salads, chicken, lasagna, pork loin, Eggs Benedict, raw oysters, smoked salmon, shrimp, a seafood salad, lox and bagels, deli meats, fruit, fruit salad, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, fish, ratatouille, french toast, waffles, a dessert room. I'm sure I'm forgetting something. There is no way you could try everything. I can't wait to go back and try some of the things I missed.
It was my wife's 55th birthday, I indicated this when making the reservation. I also called and spoke to a hostess to make sure they knew. The server had not been informed, nothing was done for my wife. We drove 40 minutes to get there, we don't every spend that kind of money or time on going out. The food, we all ordered fish, was fresh but not much taste. It was prepared two different ways. The fresh Sheepshead we catch and cook at home tasted better.
Island Way Grill is the bomb! The food was fantastic and the service excellent!
We had a wonderful time! We went for the early bird dinner and it is a tremendous value! The service was excellent and we were not at all rushed. The meals were very creative and flavorful, plus a nice variety to choose from. The atmosphere is awesome too. The only (slight) negative is the traffic on the bridge getting there - allow extra time on the weekend.
Fantastic food and service. We like the ambiance of Island Way.
Hubby had the porterhouse I had the fresh snapper blackened. We had the seared tuna appetizer all perfectly cooked and fabulous.
Made a request upon making the reservation for a table with a view of the water. When we arrived a lady was complaining that she wanted a table with a view. They seated the lady at a nice window table (the one that should have been ours) and told us there were no others available. So making a special request is useless. We then were offered a different table in the middle of the room.
Our waitress Denise was wonderful and personable. The atmosphere and food were great. Enjoyed it all!
This was our first trip to the Island Way Grill and we were very impressed with the food and service. Both of our dinners were done perfectly and the accompanying sauces to our scallops and hogfish were excellent
Beautiful restaurant! There were 3 big tables next to us which made it a little loud, but we just sat next to each other and it was fine! Jeff the waiter was very attentive and helpful! We loved our dinner! Oysters Rockefeller were fabulous! My partner hadrack of lamb and loved it! He had cream bru le for dessert and said it was the best he ever had! A very enjoyable evening!
We all enjoyed the food very much ... the noise level was difficult to talk over & visit . It is a beautiful restaurant w a good wine menu & the food was very good .
Great food if we got it. Server was over attentive to a high maintenance party of 4 next to us to our detriment. Sushi never served, never checked on drinks or food. Very good food quality but please share your attentive to regulars like us as well.
Never been to the Island Way Grill, but since we were golfing near Tarpon Springs, we thought we'd give it a try. Wow... we were very impressed. We had the best table in the place, right on the water just in time for the sunset. It was a most enjoyable evening!
Our waitress was attentive and the food was delicious. I will definitely go back!
Great fresh fish and we had an excellent server.
Nice ambiance if a bit country club.
This is one of our favorite restaurants. Period. My sister lives on Clearwater and we visit once every year. And religiously, we spend a fabulous evening at Island Grill.
I have celiac disease and have to maintain a gluten free diet. They have an allergen menu and the waitress was very knowledgeable and helpful. She went to the kitchen to confirm a few things for us as well, which is very appreciated. The food was delicious and we felt very taken care of.
We sat outside and it was wonderful. Food selection was outstanding and lots of it. Great presentation on all dishes and flavors were wonderful. We went later in the session and it was nice not fight crowds but we had all the same selections as first seating.
Seemed like the quality of the food had gone down from pri
THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS AMAZING MAKING IT A LOVELY BRUNCH TO SPEND WITH MY GIRLFRIEND..
Always a great place to take out of town company. We like this place for special occasions or just a night out for a quiet dinner.
We met relatives today to celebrate a birthday. Arrived at schedules reservation and was super noisy in the reception/bar area. First sat at a table that was right in service/pass they. We asked if we could switch to a booth by a window, no problem!!! Food was delicious and plenty of options fry the raw bar/boat to breakfast items, sushi, omelette station too much food to mention. You have to try it yourself!!! Definitely worth fighting the causeway traffic for Sunday Brunch!!
Food was wonderful but beware that if you have brunch, "a mimosa" is included. Server did not make it clear when we ordered more that the additional drink was not included. Bad ending to a nice brunch.
Belated Valentine’s Day dinner. Very nice!
It was delicious!
Lovely meal very good food and lovely waitress
Will return on our next visit to Clearwater
Great ambience. Excellent food and our server Hannah was so friendly. A pleasure all the way around. AND they are truly pet friendly.
Valentine’s Day - great experience and food overall. Just took a long time to receive the main course, likely due to the busy holiday
The food was fantastic. The service was lacking for not being busy. At one point the waiter went to blow out a candle and did it on the table. We could feel his breath on our hands and food. Completely unacceptable.
We haven’t been to Island Way Grill for brunch but dinner was delicious! Started out with the Sushi appetizer when the chef choice, so nice and we went on Valentine’s Day , the rice was pink! We both ordered steak, mine porterhouse and his a tomahawk... when I say they were tender and juice I mean so! The white cheddar Mac and cheese as well was out of a dream! I recommend for any special occasion.
Excellent food and great service. This is a great restaurant with an excellent menue at a fair price. We were seated upon arrival and served professionally throughout the evening.
Great food and spot on service from Aki.
A perfect choice for Valentine's Day. We were welcomed by friendly valets and hostesses. We dined in a quiet, attractive room nicely arranged with tables for two. Our server was attentive but not intrusive. And the food - shrimp cocktail, wedge salad, pork chop and mashed potatoes -was superb. We appreciated the "special occasion" feel to our evening.
Requested medium rare steak, served a well done. Didn't complain because it was busy but was not so pleased with the tast either.
We had a very nice Valentine's dinner! Debi was very nice and attentive.
We had drinks at the inside bar with Russ and an appetizer and then dinner in the small dining room to
The left of the outside. The two sunset specials were excellent and the waiter was great!, can hardly
wait to come back!
Jacob was great and swordfish trio and grouper were fantastic
