At the Island Way Grill, we're all about fresh fish. Our own boats make daily trips to the middle grounds to bring back fresh tuna, mahi, snapper and other local varieties. No long-line fish here-just hook, rod, and reel. If it's any fresher, it is still in the gulf. Most of our cooking revolves around our oak and citrus fired open pit, which sears at an extremely high temperature and adds a delicious smokiness to everything grilled. You'll find an abundance of fresh herbs and only the best quality seasonings. Fresh vegetables are used throughout our menu, and all soups and sauces are hand-prepared. We are also proud to provide an excellent selection of the worlds best oysters flown in fresh for your enjoyment. The fish, filet mignon, lobster, au gratin, potatoes, and the grilled veggie stack where is delicious as delicious can be! The wedge salad needs some work. The dressing was runny and didn’t have much flavor would’ve been better with bacon crumbles instead of candy bacon as well.

Cannoli was unappealing. Shells were soggy and filling was bland. Might choose another dessert to serve. The plank salmon meal : veggies, dinner salad. was delicious. Unfortunately the heater outside near us did not function. It would have helped as there was a chill in the air. And also unfortunately too, a small child near us was screeching throughout much of our meal. Service excellent!

The location and restaurant is outstanding. Very nice inside and outside. Staff was very attentive, as well. The menu was a bit pricey but the food was the star!!! I had the seafood bowl and the seasoning was excellent!! My spouse and friend had sushi and the rolls were very good and large!! We will return!

Excellent service as soon as one gets to valet station. Hostess were able to accommodate my family and I to our table within 5 minutes. Derrick, our waiter , went above and beyond to make sure we had a pleasant dining experience. The seafood is tasty and portions are generous.

My friend and I loved dinner here. The food did not miss! Coconut rice was so amazing. I also had the butter cake and vanilla ice cream for dessert and my friend and I melted. We had no complaints at all.

Well the hogfish was not available so I ordered snapper asked if it was fresh or frozen. Came to the table was not snapper I don’t know what frozen thin slice of generic fish it was, however it was frozen previously and for $40 bucks for a slice of ice is ridiculous for a restaurant that claims to have a fleet of boats that has fresh catch.

My biggest complaint is the noise level in the entry and main dining room. If this is by design…. it’s not working!!!! Makes the place seem cheap….

We sat outdoors…very nice setting. Our waitress, Tiffany, was efficient and very personable. Our cocktails, a Lemon Drop and margarita were excellent. The food…not so much. I ordered the Red Snapper Piccata and my husband had the 20oz ribeye, priced at $64! My husband said the ribeye was pretty good, but the plating was unappealing. My snapper was dry and overdone, and the sauce looked and had the consistency of country fried steak gravy…not at all like a lemon butter caper sauce. The capers were tiny and chopped up, and the parsley looked like dried parsley flakes from a bottle. I had to keep telling myself we were paying for the atmosphere. We did order a nice red wine…a blend. However, $240 before tip was hard to swallow. We will not be back.

We had the brunch here last August 2022 and the hostesses couldn’t have been any ruder. We had. Reservation, plenty of tables open, lots of people waiting and they just stood around and didn’t do anything. We were very frustrated. One year and a few months later, the hostesses were very nice, our waitress Ariana was outstanding and we asked for a table outside, in the shade and we got one! Lots of pluses…one rou d of mimosas for table. Oysters are shucked in front of you in buffet line. Sushi is small but plentiful and delish. Desserts were great. Some of the unsweet iced tea that I’ve had at a restaurant. All in all, very nice brunch and since they have new hostesses that are polite, I would recommend going!

We went for my birthday dinner. If you ever get Sylvia, you will have the best service of your life. Seriously, so kind and considerate to food allergies. The food was amazing and perfectly cooked. First time here but definitely not last.

This was our first, and definitely not last, visit to the restaurant to celebrate my girlfriends birthday. I mentioned in my reservation that it was for a special occasion. When we arrived, we were greeted by the hostess and birthday wishes were given by the group at the desk. The service was very good and the food was excellent. It was a perfect night to sit outside and we watched the sunset while eating. Every person who came to the table made sure to wish a happy birthday to my girlfriend. We are looking forward to another night out at Island Way.

The swordfish and mashed potato were excellent. But only 2 spears of asparagus!! Not nearly enough! I like more vegetables and fewer potatoes.

The luncheon was suppose to have scallops and shrimp but I did not find any scallops. Everything else was great. The bread, salad and dipping sauce was great as were the mashed potatoes. The waitress and atmosphere were perfect. I would come back just not order that meal.

The staff was excellent, especially the two hostesses who helped keep our surprise a surprise and our server for her patience and help though she was very busy this evening. The poor rating was because there was basically no seafood at this seafood restaurant, no sea bass, no grouper, no mahi mahi as well as no NY Strip (found out 10 minutes after ordering that none were left). The recovery from the review being a 2 was how this was handled via the bill … my meal, that had been changed from Grouper to NY Strip to surf and turf was highly discounted as well as my wife's birthday dessert was free. Also, the oysters rockefeller, chicken piccata and cauliflower were excellent. We'll be back again, hopefully being able to sample some seafood.

The food was outstanding Be aware if you are hungry and order a daily special like snapper or grouper for $41/42, which includes 2 sides and you add a shrimp wedge salad , which was great, you might need another appetizer…. We asked for extra bread, which was never delivered. As it was a cool day, we asked to have the umbrella open to get a bit protection from the cold air, until we left it was still closed. The quality is worth to go there, the prices aren’t. We saw their stone crabs and the prices and compared it to Rumba in Clearwater (same owners) you see you pay for the location. If you suffer from asthma make sure you sit outside, when i entered the location i could barely breathe, the cooker hoods seem not to work properly above the grill. Friends recommend this place and were shocked when they heard the prices they charged us and also they are asking for the Tomahawk steaks. If you do not care about costs….again excellent food. Hello f you lije draft beer, bad luck, bottles only. BTW They ask whether you get there for a certain reason, which was my birthday. They put a small Happy Birthday card on the table and wished “Happy Birthday”. That was it.

Wow, old school restaurant with very good food, no-rush service, and nice outdoor ambiance if you so choose. Supper club specials are a good value. Shrimp and grits had more shrimp that we could eat. Would happily return for another visit.

The daily grouper special was delicious but the accompanying sides were stone cold. We sent a he sides back and they returned slightly warmer but meh! Speciality maki was delicious and large but a little bit expensive. Overall good experience but not outstanding.
