Everything was great. Food was amazing, the happy hour specials are super competitive and service was great. Only issue I had was the reservation. I tried calling since we inquired about sitting in one of the igloos after a previous visit to the restaurant and were told you had to call to reserve those. When you call it just sends you to a machine anyways. So I reserved on the open table app a spot outside. Obviously, it’s too cold to sit at a normal table so I would be reserving a igloo. The gentleman behind the counter acted liked we would have a hard time being able to sit at the igloo since we didn’t call to reserve it. After about 3 minutes of clickity clacking on the keyboard, we were able to sit at one of the empty igloos.
We spent NYE there, the service was amazing really nice staff but I was expecting more from the food, it was kind of meh, the drinks 5/5, the place is really cute. I’ll comeback and order other stuff.
Great food, drinks and environment. Staff was very attentive and quick with our orders.
Food was great, service was good and I will definitely be returning.
The ordering system was a little confusing but our server Kara was awesome in helping us with the system and Lauren the new Brand Mgr was very personable and informative. The food was delicious and drinks were excellent! I will definitely go back! Everyone in my party of 6 really enjoyed the experience!
We had an excellent birthday lunch at Island Shrimp. Food was very good - our party of three tried an entrée, a handheld, and a salad and we were each very pleased with our meals. We'll be back!
Food was great!
Food has change on the menu. Minimum options.
Didn’t like the ordering mechanism. Drinks took forever to get. Food was average at best.
Very nice place to have couples date night out. We will be coming back.
Great place nice atmosphere. Will revisit when I come back to Virginia.
I enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was really good! The restaurant recently made some menu changes that aren’t reflected on Open Table. The jerk items have been removed and a couple of entrees that looked interesting were not available.
Overall, I enjoyed and will dine here again.
My wife ordered a mojito to start, it was not flavorful and most of the mint was black. Next she ordered an old fashioned and it was not good either. I’m not sure if it was too much bitters or what it was. Maybe the bartenders just had an off night, Maybe they just don’t have enough practice making them, but at $12+ for drinks I want it made correct.
Food, service and the atmosphere was ok. Try to book 2 days in advance and the website did not give me the option to book the rooftop.
The ordering from the phone was pretty stressful. Would rather a regular menu and service.
Everything here was so delicious. The presentation was everything. I had the shrimp and lobster with rice and it was amazing. I felt safe with COVID protocols in place. We will return again. It was the perfect date night. Drinks were really good as well.
Never going back .
Good and drinks were great! Great happy hour deals!
Food was overpriced for very small portions. Found a hair in Lobster & shrimp rice bowl. Drinks were moderate. Good Music and nice scenery but not very exciting
Food was great. Service was wonderful. Definitely recommend doing the roof top dining.
The service was horrible. We were told to push the button if we needed anything or had questions and when we did, no one came. When someone did finally come, his attitude was not the best- felt as if we were bothering him. My food was cold and tasted awful. The best thing was sitting on the rooftop with the wonderful breeze. Won't be returning.
Amazing service from our bartender 🙌
Food was great, drinks were a bliss, and atmosphere was wonderful. You need a date night restaurant Island Shrimp CO is your place to go. They the waiters are friendly and they're system they have for contactless and no hassle ordering is awesome.
I need yall to get better chefs who can season well.
Don’t force me into a 20% service charge under the guise of paying a living wage. Just pay them and adjust your advertised prices accordingly. Don’t be shady about it.
We went for lunch at 2 & it was very slow so that may be the reason for the issues. It was for my sister’s bday & she loved it so very happy about that. It could’ve been so good & I wanted to love it, just didn’t. Everything was average except the price which was high. I got the salmon teriyaki bowl, it was not very flavorful, salmon tasted overdone, rice was bland, cukes needed to be marinated. Definitely not worth $21.
Everything sounded great on the menu but the food was just ok. Overpriced, small portions, not prepared well. Everything was clean, but the floors were sticky. Online menu was difficult to navigate. Service was friendly and fast, we were checked on often.
I gave this place three stars overall because the food was decent and the staff was great. However, the drinks were a little pricey and barely had alcohol and the food didn't come out hot. It was as if it had been sitting for several minutes before being served.
Kara Linkonis, was a fantastic Captain. She was very personable, took a genuine interest in making sure we were comfortable.
I ordered the lobster and shrimp fried rice served in a carved out pineapple. The portion size was so small that l didn’t think it was worth the price.
I casually mentioned when Kara asked how things were going that I the portion was too small and l was hungry.☺️ She went out of her way and brought me and another person in my party who also had the same complaint a bowl of fried rice on the house. She also noticed that another person in my party was served a drink without the garnishing. She went back inside and brought back the garnish. She didn’t have to do that, but she cared and wanted to make sure we had a good experience. We were a party of 5 with small babies. She made sure we were comfortable. We will be back with others. Thanks again, Kara!
We were immediately greeted and seated when we arrived. Our server voluntarily explained that the 20% service fee is a group tip & any additional tip is optional. We appreciated letting us know! My wife said the pineapple mojito was dee-lish! The lumpia was tasty too. My wife highly recommends the Lobster and Shrimp Fried Rice. Don't be thrown by the Spam fried rice, you can't tell it's Spam. The Shrimp and Grits was the best I've had in this area. Nice job, everyone!
We enjoyed it all...................................
I had a reservation for 5 people at 7:30 for my birthday. I had requested outside, which I completely understand is just a request, not guaranteed. When we arrived there were hardly any other people seated and they explained to us that someone else had moved and taken the spot that was reserved for us. We were sat at the round palm tree high top which was okay, but still not great when it was obvious that there were many other regular tables available that could accommodate us. While I understand sectioning and not over seating servers, our server was serving everyone outside. I asked if we could move and our waitress said that was fine which was really nice of her. It was still cramped but I’m glad that we were allowed to move. I ordered the Mochicho Chicken and while the presentation was fabulous, the food itself left a lot to be desired. My chicken was really bad quality meat, with some of it looking and tasting undercooked and by the time it got to me it was really soggy. The spam fried rice was okay, but it was also very soggy and mushy, which is not what fried rice should be. Everyone else’s meals were pretty good and the mango key lime pie was to die for. I work at another Housepitality location and I know that when you put on your reservation that you are celebrating a birthday, not only should the host say something but the manager and your captain should be alerted as well. Nobody stopped by or even recognized the special event. Overall, my experience wasn’t what I hoped it would be and the saving grace was the cute decor and pretty sunset. I was disappointed as I was really looking forward to dining here and picked Isco over other restaurants to celebrate my birthday at that probably would have been much better.
Great venue, nice staff. Food and drinks were good, will definitely recommend and come back
The ambiance was amazing. Definitely picture worthy decor. The food was okay. There was 7 of us and we all said the food was okay. The alcoholic beverages are over priced, they were pretty but not even a little bit strong. If I’m paying almost $14 for a drink I expect it to give me a buzz. The young lady who helped us was nice. We all made special requests for our food I.e. sauce on the side etc, it didn’t happen. We had to ask a few times.
The ambiance was amazing a great date night idea for couples.
Food was Mediocre. Not worth the price. Vibe was boring. I will try another day. Maybe Sunday was just not a good day
Service was ok seeing as how you basically took your own order online and paid everything online! You basically had to flag down a waitress to even ask a question! My parents who are senior citizens are not familiar with the online ordering process and fortunately had me to pull up the menu as according to the waitress paper menus were not available. This is unacceptable and intimidating for those who are not tech savvy! The service to me did not warrant a 20% tip when I did 95% of the waitresses job! And the food was mediocre, fried chicken was undercooked and shrimp boil was over cooked!
Our waitress was excellent and very patient in helping us navigate the cumbersome phone ordering system. That alone consumed approximately 20 minutes of our time. Most of the food was pretty good, but the fried fish was badly overdone and therefore dry. Seating was uncomfortable, and it was a little too loud to converse comfortably. This is very much a young person or maybe family venue. Adults should go elsewhere.
My loved ones and I I really enjoyed our experience! The food is always fresh, as if it was caught fresh out of the ocean that day lol! Our new favorite seafood place!
It was nice and quiet I had a nice view from the roof top nice breeze, delicious food, and wonderful customer service.
