Great service , Great Food every time...
Servers are right on when asking for a particular oyster. The lobster roe noodle dish is always spot on.
Disappointed by menu selection. Was expecting lunch, but got some “mid day” menu which was extremely limited.
Great place for brunch, and always a great place for oysters. Every time I’ve been here, the service has been superb, and the food has been good. Try the bialy as a nice baked item with your brunch!
My husband and I had Sunday brunch over the weekend and we both thought the food was OUTSTANDING! I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu - but I would highly recommend the Oyster slider and Salmon pate for apps and the egg white frittata for the main event. And if you are feeling very hungry, the banoffee pie for dessert. Everything was delicious!
It was amazing!
Poor service, not attentive to gluten allergy, and not worth the cost.
Everything was truly perfect. Our reservation was honored. My mention of a bday celebration led to specialized Happy Birthday menus and a complimentary appetizer. Most unexpected and greatly appreciated. The bartender was knowledgeable, attentive and likeable. The other support staff were professional and efficient. Food was awesome.
Overall great spot for a business dinner. They sat us in a circular booth so everyone was able to talk with ease. Food, drinks and ambiance were great.
Oysters are fantastic. Everything else was great too
Nice selection of oysters, fresh and nice condiment options. Mussels excellent flavor, nice broth, fish dish was cooked well, not overdone, etc., flavorful. Nice meal.
This was the first time at Island Creek. We ordered Oysters, House Salad, Mussels, Fries and a Moscow Mule and Hard Cider.
The place was packed. There was a RedSox game so my suggestion would be to make a reservation. We had a reservation for 6 pm and didn't get seated until approx 10 past 6:00 which was alright with us. We meandered through the Bar area which was jam-packed. We made it to our seat which was a tiny table barely enough room for dinner plates, apps, and drinks. We made do.
Will defiantly go again!
Oysters were excellent, but clam chowder and lobster roll were average and overpriced.
ICOB is the best
the music was uncomfortably loud. we asked a waiter to lower it a bit - he said not a chance b/c they cater to the red sox fans. I didn't know this was a sports bar when I made the reservation. our waitress agreed the music was unusually loud this particular night and was able to lower it a bit so it wasn't piercing. it helped that she couldn't hear us speak :) b/c the music was so loud.
I wouldn't return.
One of our faves!
Food is always fresh and delicious. The oysters are a must have!
Server had great suggestions and descriptions of dishes
Fabulous, quality food and knowledgeable wait staff. Would highly recommend and excited to go back again. Nice atmosphere. A mix of couples and families.
One of the best seafood restaurant. Nice row seafood menu, superb oysters seldctions. Perfect service!
Lots of fun - staff a bit slow to respond, but understandable due to being very busy
Great food. Not so great waiter. Seemed like it was his first day on the job
Excellent oysters and drinks. Highly recommended.
Oysters were well-shucked and very fresh. We got the platter for four. Nice sampler. Had the lobster roll for dinner which I really enjoyed - not too much mayo. Great experience! Next time I’m going to try every single oyster!
Best lobster roll and oysters I had while traveling through New England and I spent a week in Cape Cod after 5 days in Boston — nothing beat Island Creek.
Superb flavor of dishes. Mussels tiny; a shame with otherwise great flavor. Great cold corn seafood chowder.
My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful plate of raw oysters as an appetizer. The restaurant has an excellent wine selection by the glass, half bottle or full bottle. We both enjoyed our fish entrees although we liked the striped bass a bit more than the halibut. The service was wonderful and we would definitely recommend it.
The food was exorbitantly priced (the lobster roll was $36 and very small) and was not very tasty. Rather than spending money here, go to a restaurant with better food and lower prices.
Nothing spectacular and service was negligible. Pricey for the area. Fresh seafood but not much menu selection for dinners. Meh
We were very impressed with the food- it was the best we had in Boston! A lot of the oysters were local, and very delicious. We were impressed with our server, and the ambience was very nice.
Amazing chowder. Friendly waitstaff. Great selections. One hostess was a bit snippier than necessary, but the others were great. MAKE A RESERVATION EARLY.
Great food! Loved the Fried Oyster slider - a must try! I ordered the fluke and it was delicious! Also, don't forget to try the Banoffee Pie and Friend Dough. We will be back!
Everything was perfect. The food was delicious. The service was incredible. Our waitress was so attentive. They even created personalized menus for my bf because I mentioned in the reservation it was his menu. Great experience. Will be going back in the future.
This is our second time eating here and each time the food was just so-so. The oysters are great, some of the fried foods are very good, fried clams in particular, and the biscuits are amazing. The worst dish was the steamed clams, oddly enough. Horrible broth and steamed-to-death clams.
The service is efficient but delivered with little concern. Most likely won't be back which is too bad -- love the decor and location.
Exceptionally great sea food in city full of sea food. Service was excellent, especially from the wine director Lindsey.
For appetizers, we sampled oysters from 5 locations- fabulous!
I was disappointed in the value. The food did not measure up to the cost. The oysters were only fair. The $36 lobster roll was nothing special.
We were excited to go to island creek, but the brunch menus is a joke. I’ve been multiple times for dinner and it’s an amazing place, but for a Sunday 2pm the food selection is poor. For a fish restaurant there is no typical fish on the menus other than fish and chips.
Had a good time, but overall it was a disappointment from da food perspective.
Best seafood restaurant in Boston. This is a high quality dinning experience, principally due to the quality of the ingredients and the imaginative way they are assembled into sublime showcases of the finest seafood from the East Coast. The oysters are superb, but this is so much more than an oyster bar. The crab cake contained more crab than a crab and was light and sumptuous without the overpowering richness usually found in traditional US crab cakes, allowing the flavour of the crab to be the star of the show. The same philosophy was applied to the fish with, bluefish, bass, halibut and flounder all accompanied by complementary flourishes which enhanced the main feature - perfectly cooked fish.
The oysters were excellent as were the Ipswich clams. The service was great with excellent wine recommendations. We all let happy and satisfied.
Amazing oysters, best service. Had the halibut - to die for!!
