Island Creek Oyster Bar - Boston
Looking for another reservation? Visit one of our sister restaurants: Island Creek Oyster Bar (Burlington), Row 34 (Boston & Portsmouth), Eastern Standard, Branch Line, and our cocktail bar, The Hawthorne.
Fish was under-seasoned. Fried clams not crispy. Server very friendly but gave next table something complimentary and not us even we outspent them significantly
We had a lovely evening with great food and great service and great drinks. Can’t wait to be back and bring other people with us! Nice local food, nice energy!
Extraordinario servicio de Mario.
Not worth the price. The food was just ok.
Fortunately we have many
choices in the area. To name a few: Ostra, Atlantic Fish
We had the following:
Steamed little necks
Nice wine choices.
The desert was very good:
Chocolate panacotta. Also over priced.
Coffee was good
Our first time at Island Creek. The food was wonderful, and our waiter was terrific!
We'll be back!
The food was very good. My only complaint was that the server told me the oysters I chose were large and when she discovered they were small, she didn't let me know so I could pick others.
Always a great selection of fresh local oysters and fine wine list to accompany. Lots of noise on Saturday night. Our go to venue after a ballgame at Fenway.
Our oysters were perfection! My husband selected a Cape Cod variety and they were among the best he's ever had!
My oyster sliders were heavenly and at $5 each that were a delicious bargain!
Late lunch before Sox game. Oysters and shrimp cocktail were delicious. Entrees were good too. We had a group and everyone was pleased with the quality of the food. Service was adequate but not memorable. Pretty slow for an off time
Dinner with close friend before the Red Sox game
Fantastic dinner. Very attentive service! Definitely pricey but great.
Best Lobster Roll in Boston with great craft beer selection.
beyond amazing, i loved the experience and our waitress was awesome!! 10/10 recommend!!
Lobster rolls exceptional. Blue fin tuna melt appetizer and clam chowder also great
Typically I love Island Creek, but was disappointed with this recent visit. My lobster roll came on bread that was slightly stale and was too big for the amount of lobster meat. Also, it took us almost an hour to get a bottle of wine delivered to the table.
Our server chose
Have been to ICOB for probably 10 times. Best, most consistent seafood/Oyster Bar in the area.
Always fresh seafood with creations and fresh ingredients from the garden. Also friendly staff and happy servers makes a pleasant experience always.
We ordered the salt cod croquettes and Crudo as an appetizer, both excellent. I had the lobster roll which was the best we had in Boston and he go the Lobster roe noodles. Lovely dining area and attentive wait staff
I enjoy our dinner there very much. I ask if they could offer us high top table in coner which they did. That made us happy. I can't waite to go there again.
We ordered the shellfish platter for 4..we had 3 and it was delicious..plenty for a mid day meal. Hard to find parking but used valet. Great space!
I’m picky and this was one of the best meals of my life
They made the birthday dinner extra special by creating a menu saying happy 40th birthday on it. Very attentive service.
My partner and I each got a bowl of the lobster bisque and then went ham on some oysters. It was amazing. Cool ambiance, great service, even better food. And the drink menu is extensive.
One of the BEST restaurants in Boston. Chef Sewall has a true talent for New England cuisine. A must visit for any traveler or native to Boston.
Amazing well done
Food was great, but servers at the bar were not friendly at all. More than one was not pleasant.
Go for the oysters! Great variety, super fresh. Delicious! Menu was limited, but the dish was very well prepared. Great spot to gather after a Sox game.
If you want short pours on your drinks, average fish dinners with little to no creativity, overpriced raw oysters and valet parking that cost $50, then this is the restaurant for you! The ceviche was very small and lacked ingenuity, the striped bass dish was overcooked and the fish in the fish and chips was tube shaped (?) and overbattered. Overall, a wasted evening and wasted money. We will never go back. I suggest you avoid this restaurant too!
Scallops were delectable. Excellent quality , taste and presentation . Best all season.
Spectacular food and welcoming service - we stopped in after a red sox game and enjoyed oysters, beers, and some great seafood. Our server Maria made for a memorable and fun night!
As usual Island Creek never fails to make a spectacular experience! The oysters are fabulous, the staff is amazing, the beverages are magical. I LOVE this restaurant!
To celebrate graduation from business school
Great restaurant. If the Red Sox are out of town this is where to go for wonderful oysters.
ICOB continues to be one of our favorite, if not absolute favorite, restaurants in Boston. I hadn't been back for Brunch in quite some time, and was not at all disappointed. The service was amazing, food was on point at always, and I still love the decor every time I walk in. A little extra love - we made the reservation at 9:30am on Saturday for 10:30am, and noted that it was our friend Megan's birthday. When we sat down, they had special "HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEGAN" menus printed for us - very special treat for our friend from out of town. Thanks again ICOB!
We bypassed this restaurant several times due to the name. We wrongly thought it would be a Jimmy Buffet type oyster shack. Island Creek Oyster Bar is very sophisticated and has a nice, lively vibe. The have a great selection of oysters which were served perfectly chilled atop crushed ice. The lobster pasta lives up to all
its accolades. Even the fish and chips was outstanding. We visit Boston frequently and will be back every time!
Amazing!! Best place in Boston
Best restaurant I’ve been in Boston. Anything you order comes as a good surprise, especially the lobster pasta. I can have it all week! Def recommend. Great customer service, too! Can’t wait to go back ;-)
Excellent oysters - server well versed on oysters. She was, however, a bit overbearing in other ways.
