The hometown of restaurant owners Sebi and Daniele Conte is a volcanic island called Ischia (pronounced ISS-key-ah) situated in the Gulf of Naples, 30km from the mainland of Italy.

Famous for its local island specialties like slow cooked rabbit (coniglio all'ischitana), mixed seafood spaghetti (spaghetti allo scoglio) and homemade ice-cream (il gelato artigianale), Ischia also makes some of the Mediterranean's finest wines, produced from ancient vines on the volcanic hills of the countryside.

Now, the Conte brothers bring these flavours and more to Ischia Ristorante, recreating their hometown cuisines with traditional recipes - and the kind of love only Italians can bring! The restaurant's specialty is their delectable variety of wood-fired pizzas cooked in-house in their Italian-built pizza oven, accompanied by assortments of antipasto, pasta and food from the grill.

We usually like to dine at Ischia but some of us were unwell after eating the chilli mussels Service was poor too

Excellent authentic Italian food served by caring and personable waiters. Generous servings, so make sure you have plenty of space to do justice to the quality of the dishes!

Delicious food and wine. I've dined here twice in the last month because the food is so good its worth returning for, especially my favourite, the crab pasta. Everything we ordered was delicious though, the chilli mussels, the pizza, the eggplant parmigiana, just to name a few. Chef's kiss! We sat in the alfresco area which was cozy, even in winter as they put the heaters on.

This was the 2nd time eating here, and once again it was unreal. Staff where very accommodating also getting our friends at the same table considering they was booked out. Food is outstanding , can’t wait to eat there again.

Amazing place to bring friends, lively and laughter in the air. Would definitely come again day or night. Nights get busy so recommend booking for an earlier spot. Loved the pastas and pizzas too much. Thank you for such amazing service.

Very nice Italian restaurant, good pizza and pasta. Think i'd try the pasta next time, seemed handmade and quality.

Food is consistent and good overall. The Fr red emperor could do with some sauce on the side as it was bland as were the vegetables we ordered Wait staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. A bit noisy at the Beaufort St branch as the tables are placed quite close together

Absolutely beautiful food every time we dine in or take away. Staff are very friendly and happy to help, and food is served quickly. Our favourite go to authentic Italian!
