   I love sitting on this side of Isabella Eatery -- last night we were seated at the gold chairs (previously I've been seated at the booths which I LOVE). Gorgeous and comfortable! The food was good, but as I only got a burger, it was okay, but not necessarily anything to write home about. More importantly though, it was my friend's first time to dine at Isabella Eatery, and she seemed to enjoy this new addition to the Galleria! Above I clicked that this restaurant is good for "pre/post dinner" as Cirque du Soleil's LUZIA is currently touring around the block, and within walking distance.

   We had tried the individual eatery concepts and individually they are great. We had made a reservation for Arroz which no longer exists. Isabella Eatery contacted us when confirming our reservation and told us that Arroz had shut down BUT we could still get many of the selections that were at Arroz in the general dining section in which the menu has selected choices from most of the eatery concepts at Tysons II. The Arroz selections were very limited and we very disappointed. I guess that "most" is a relative term when used to describe choice. Food was good and so was the service. We found out that one can also order from Graffiato (Italian) but you have to know to ask. We didn't find out this was an option until half way through our meal. We think the general aggregated dining concept needs work including getting real time feedback from the patrons so they can better select the choices to showcase from the individual themed eateries. Pricing was inconsistent between choices and often high for the food served in our opinion.

   The food was interesting and delicious. A dessert disappointment turned out to be a dessert gem. When only one of 2 desserts ordered was available, the server opted to get some ice cream from the creamery. The vanilla ice cream was the most delicious that anyone of the party of 5 had ever had.

   Not bad but not worth the hype. Their famous Burnt eggplant dish is not bad and its very interesting but is more about concept that taste. The famous Bomba rice (we had the chicken one) was okay. We had some fantastic cauliflower and Brussels sprouts but overall I would not likely go back here again. Service was great. The waitress did take a LONG time to get back to us about drinks so two dishes were out by the time she got back but outside of that forgivable blip, everyone was friendly and efficient.

   Open eatery concept OK for casual, too much mall noise for serious dining. Plates overpriced by about 1/3, even if done well.

   The Isabella Eatery is actually 6 mini restaurants. I was really excited about Arroz because I'm a fan of Spanish tapas as a foodie. Unfortunately, the dishes did not live up to my expectations. They were edible but not great value for the dollar both in terms of the portions and the quality of the food. The flavors did not quite hit the mark. I've enjoyed some of the other Mike Isabella restaurants in the past. We went to celebrate our birthdays (both of us have the same birthday) and thought it would be interesting to try something new. We weren't expecting anything special. But the staff brought a big sparkler to our table which was a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere of being in the middle of a mall is strange which made the whole experience a little off at times.

   Forgot to check me in for the reservation. It was very slow. Maybe only three tables at the height of brunch time at 12:30. Worth a try. Wouldn’t come back

   It pains me to leave this review as I have enjoyed other Isabella eateries. I am a huge fan of Kapnos, so had similarly high expectations. It is a amazing how a wayward choice can destroy a meal. We ordered the cauliflower as a side, and it was very tasty. However, this review is pained by the chicken bomba rice. As you many know, arroz, is the Spanish word for rice. Clearly, the bomba rice is the restaurant's take on paella. I have lived in Spain and had great paella in many places. To be clear, I was not expecting authenticity--I was fine with a creative interpretation or twist. However, this went completely wrong. The chicken atop the rice was deep friend and heavily battered, covered in a chili sauce. The chicken was greasy, and unpleasant. It was certainly a major detractor from the otherwise decent rice. Even if the chicken had been seasoned and fried (without a heavy batter, it may have been acceptable). The rice was a little oily, so adding greasy friend chicken on top made it unpalatable. The chili sauce on the chicken was akin to something you would expect in a fast food mall food court. I ultimately picked the chicken out, and we both endured the rice, while complaining. It should have been sent back. I made the waiter aware of my concerns, though no replacement was offered. Quite frankly, I found the dish disrespectful to the spirit of Spanish food, and seemed like the stereotypical worst of American excess and indulgence. Ultimately, the dish seemed lazy and uninspired. I was embarrassed for the restaurant for serving such a sad plate. I know you're better than that dish, or at least I hope you are.

   Service poor. Took 20+ minutes to get an ice tea only after reminding the server. Salmon raw & had to be sent back. Manager never appeared to address sending food back to the kitchen because it wasn’t cooked correctly. They have a long way to go to get me to come back.

    a wonderful place in an upscale mall. We residents in McLean and Tysons area are lucky to have this quality restaurant in our neighborhood. Very reasonably priced too.
