    Was disappointed in the quality of the food. In particular the ragu sauce was watery- expected better. Also wine prices were very high.

    We chose Isabella based on a friends recommendation. The dining area is small but has a nice ambience. The waiter made great recommendations, even politely suggesting one meal might be better served at a different temperature than requested. The food was incredible. This was a great experience!

    My date (wife) and I shared three dishes and all were excellent! Apps - Arugula salad and shrimp scampi. 👍👍 Main course of Tagliatelle w bolognese 👍👍. We appreciated that the entree was split for us. Thx to the chief!

    A fun dining experience with a great vibe and good service. The food is traditional Italian American fare typical of the North End, which should not be confused with or compared against the Italian food you would get in Italy. Solid not exceptional veal parmigiana. The vongole was also good but needed more olive oil to cut some of the lemon down. But the pastas were reasonably Al dente—again not al dente enough for an Italian but certainty not mushy

    very good italian food in the North end. good value. we had 3 dishes and two were tasty. taglia bolognese and veal marsala were great. tasty and light. good portion size. the linguine vongole was disappointing. clams sandy and pasta no taste. good wine selection. would go back again. small restaurants with only may be 10 tables. would recommend reservation at busy times but can probably walk in at 5pm when they first open.

    Had the alfredo and the ravioli. Both DELICIOUS and so fresh. Definitely recommend making a reservation as it’s very quaint inside. Would return in a heartbeat.

    Four of us had a fabulous dinner at this wonderful restaurant off the beaten-path in a quiet area of the North End. The food was delicious, the wine selection great, the staff attentive and kind, and the ambience just perfect. Highly recommended.

    Back for a return visit with coworkers, and it overall lived up to the billing. Tight quarters for seating, but certainly cozy. Great pasta dishes, several specials available as well. I would say portions are not massive, but appropriate. Service is pretty attentive and friendly.

    Very good food quality; unfortunately we felt rushed to order one plate after the other; we were out of the restaurant within one hour. Very disappointing as we wanted to enjoy the food having a relaxed time.

    Loved it. Incredible food and service, the restaurant was cozy, our table was ready quickly. The only thing was the opening and closing of the door made a strong draft, but other than that it was a lovely night. Would recommend to any looking for a great meal in an intimate setting.

    I visited Isabella with my cousin from Canada and we had a nice meal. We first ordered the burrata appetizer with was delicious and plentiful! For dinner, I opted for the Tagliatelle Bolognese and cousin had the special rolled veal meal - which he loved! His wife had one of the chicken dishes - also delicious. The only drawback with this place is the noise from the kitchen if you are sitting near the back of the restaurant since there is no door separating the kitchen from the patrons. Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed the food!

    Everything was absolutely delicious. Had such a great time with my husband, it was our first time there. We will definitely be coming back! I already recommended the restaurant to a friend and she booked her reservation! Thank you for such great service and incredible food.

    We had a wonderful experience at Isabella, start to finish. Great service - so thoughtful and attentive - and the food was phenomenal. Atmosphere is intimate, great for a date or dinner with friends. Loved it, will definitely be back!

    Very pretty restaurant. Our waiter was very nice and made sure we knew all our lunch options. The fried calamari was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The sauteed spinach cooked perfectly as was the eggplant. The Gnocchi Amatriciana was soft with flavorful tomato and small bites of pancetta, and just enough extra sauce to sop up with the delicious bread which was on our table immediately after our water was poured. A gem of a restaurant that I look forward to returning to to try more of their menu!

    When we got to the restaurant, we were seated immediately. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was outstanding especially the roasted mussels and the linguini frutti di mare. It’s a small restaurant and the space can be little tight. Highly recommended, can’t wait to go back.

    I’m not sure why this restaurant was rated so highly. The food was mediocre and the service was meh as well. I guess all you have to do is be an Italian restaurant in North End and you get good ratings. Maybe it was the Sunday curse but we won’t be back.

    We were a party of two. Ordered the calamari as a starter. It was excellent. I had the bolognese and my son had the cod with risotto. Both were good, not great. For my taste, the bolognese was too sweet. Also, the bread they served is outstanding. Service was fine and prompt, just not particularly polished, more like at a diner. Overall, a good experience, and a solid value. It seems like every dish on the menu goes between $24=26. Would I go back? Maybe. Nothing wrong here, just nothing special.
