Isabel was great for dinner! Food was delicious, reasonably priced, nice atmosphere, and quick service. Cocktails were good too. I’d definitely go back.
Fresh ingredients, innovative preparations, perfectly balanced seasoning.
Food was uninspiring, service was worse.
The best coconut French toast ever!!!!
It was my wife's and my first time there. We looked at the menu online and it looked quite good to us. When we got there we found out there was a Valentine's Day menu and it did not have anything on it we wanted.
We ordered the Carnitas Bowl and honestly, it was absolutely delicious. We would have it again in a heartbeat. The service was entertaining, the beer and wine was very good.
We would highly recommend this restaurant. Price was amazingly good for the amount and quality of food. A find when pricing out restaurants in the Pearl.
Food at Isabel was nice, but not special. Best dish we had was the vegetarian enchiladas.
However, the service was TOP DRAWER! Matt, our server did everything right, from his service to his smile! We were seated near the back door, and it was unfortunate that they didn't lock that door to keep it from bringing cold air in every time it was opened.
Excellent as always!
This has fast become my favorite lunch spot. Service is friendly and quick. Food is both delicious and healthy. And it isn't too spendy.
The food was ok, however it was very bland no real flavor
Open Table's reservations indicated that there were no tables available between 9 A.M. and 2 P.M. so we reserved a 2 P.M. table only to discover upon arrival that there had been plenty of tables available all day. They also had no record of our reservation but that was not a problem.
The food was outstanding as always but the Open Table reservation system failed this time. Oh well.
Restaurant was not open when we arrived for ou reservation.
We went to Isabel on a Saturday evening to celebrate my husband's birthday. Unfortunately, I don't understand why it has such high reviews. The food overall was fine, but unremarkable. The carnitas plantains were so bland as to be almost tasteless - the salsa and creme fresh was necessary to give it any hint of flavor. The grilled salmon was decent, if a bit overly sweet; the green beans that accompanied it were also fine, but the coconut rice was a sad half-bowl helping of somewhat stale and cold rice. The Buddha Bowl with tofu was also just okay - beans and rice somewhat bland (and, again, required salsa), but the tofu itself was actually nicely flavored and grilled to crisp (rather than deep-fried, which I appreciated). Both the salmon and bowl were nearly saved by the mango salsa, but too many of the mango pieces were under-ripe to make it truly satisfying. We both had house margaritas, which were also fine. The service was friendly, and the space itself pleasant enough. It wasn't terrible, but I probably wouldn't go back.
This was our first visit. I selected them because it was close to the theatre that we planned on attending later that night. (12/16/17) I set my expectations low...and got blown away. Great food and service. The guys had the seafood special (mussels and scallops) and the girls had wraps with generous portions of beef and chicken to put inside.
Thanks for a great meal!
The door didn't close all the way allowing cold air to blow in.
It was very cold in the restaurant. We decided to leave before ordering.
