Absolutely fabulous evening. I'm incredibly difficult to please and I had a smile on my face throughout the entire meal. Our server, Dean, was completely delightful and the food was delicious. The only challenge was picking what to eat as the entire menu looked incredible! HIGHLY recommend.
Great from beginning to end. Great food, reasonably priced, plenty of choices in the menu, attentive service pleasant environment, and especially for us seniors, we can carry a conversation without shouting! Will go again anytime.
We unfortunately had to wait over an hour and a half for appetizers and it was extremely loud. While the staff was friendly that level of service is unacceptable.
Delicious food and great atmosphere - this would be a great place for a date or an anniversary!
Food is excellent! I enjoyed the food and the $5 wine. Definitely will go back
We had a wonderful experience at Isa. The food was incredible and the service was wonderful. It was worth the drive from the South Bay - we will be returning!
great food valentine's day special near theater in every way excellent!
The price is to big and the food os not the best
Terrible service. We got there at 8:45 and by 10:45 we still hadn’t received our entree. The waiter rudely told us he forgot to put in our entree then asked “do you even want it?” Totally rude and ruined our Valentine’s Day. We ended up just leaving and not having our dessert. Will never return
Valentines fixed menu was full of options and each course was interesting and very good. Restaurant was at capacity so service suffered a bit but i still found the wait staff to be knowledgable.
Went there for Valentines Day and the prefix menu of five course is so delicious and perfect. They were able to accommodate with non seafood eaters like myself. Will definitely go back for the Truffle Risotto! ❤️
We went there on Valentine's Day. The outdoor seating was warm and lovely. Table and plate were minimum decorated. Food was designed to be served swiftly on a holiday occasion, nothing fancy but tasty nevertheless. We had 4 different waitors checking on us and all were lovely. Overall great value!
This place is great. We had enjoyed the risotto, salmon carpaccio, and goat cheese
Really nice staff and delicious food. The mushroom risotto is great. On the pricey side for food, but not overwhelming. A little slow with coming to our big group of 8 with taking orders, drinks, etc in the beginning. Otherwise, a staple restaurant and one that I'll come back to frequently.
Hey find meal with our son who is visiting from Tokyo. Among other things we had crab salad, Muscles, fish of the day, Lamb and tuna tartare. All were excellent. Our server was great. My only complaint is that the ambience was nothing special and the tables were too close together. That aside we are Shirley to go back because of the quality Of the cuisine.
Isa is amazing. I have been twice now: once with a group of 5 other people and we sat in the lovely outdoor space in the back of the restaurant, and once for a date. Between the 2 visits, since this is a share plates kind of place, I have had almost everything on their menu and every single item was delicious. Definitely a gem in the Marina/Cow Hollow area.
Loved it! This is my second visit to Isa in the past two weeks. It is that good and the service is that great! Jonathan was our server on both occasions. His ability to make you feel welcome and knowledge of the food and wine list is a bonus to the entire experience. What a delight! You can’t go wrong with any of the menu choices. Each one is different and every bite is delicious.
Fantastic as always! This restaurant has never disappointed me and it's great to see it continuing to strive. We went on the last evening of Restaurant week and it was packed. We sat at the bar and had a delightful meal. Thank you!
Really enjoyed family dinner at Isa. Food and service were great.
I have been twice before and was impressed, but this time it was a disappointment. We visited during restaurant week and the entire place was packed. The food options were good, but everything felt rushed and mass produced. The dishes came out at different times, but they weren't designed to be family style or tapas so it left one person just watching the other eat. The bread and butter was good and I loved the creme brûlée. For the high price tag I would expect much better service and food quality.
The restaurant week menu included several options for each course, all of which were delicious and of good value. The food was delicious as always, the steak and scallops were perfect. I have never been disappointed!
Great experience for SFRestaurant week! But we thought the food was okay and not outstanding though done well although there was a lot of hype about it. The service was good though... and the ambience is nice.
Went during SF Restaurant Week--it was all very delicious! Took away one star on food because the steak, while delicious, was not warm enough--it was a little cooler than room temp which threw me off. However it was still very tasty.....just the wrong temp.
The salmon carpaccio also didn't wow us as much of the other dishes did in terms of flavor.
Everything else was perfect!
went on restaurant week - superb food - attentive but unobtrusive service - loved space in the back - this was my favorite of the restaurants i selected
Great value for their prix fixed menu. My only complaint is that the first course came out together but the second and main entree came out at different times. It was just the two of us and why would you seved on plate at a time?
Went for the tonight for the SF restaurant week menu. This was quite the perfect way to showcase the food; it was prix fixe but you had different choices for the 4 course meal. The arugula salad was actually arugula; not a the previous dinner where they served me radicchio.
My wife and I shared most of the meal but we ordered separately . The soup was light but the fennel was still present and well balanced. Then the salmon and mussels were next and they salmon was okay with the capers making it the tartare. The mussels nice and small but slightly over cooked but the sauce was great it had an umami to it that complemented onion and tomatoes, I wish was more sauce at the bottom of the dish.
For the mains we had the scallops and steak. The scallops were perfectly cooked with a mash potato and vegetable. A nice seer to caramelize and bring the sweetness out. The steak was good nice flavor with the sauce and fingerling potatoes roasted just right.
Finally the dessert creme brûlée and semifreddo with almond flavors. They were what you expected nice balance creamy mousse almond flavor with 3 cookies . The creme brûlée had nice brûlée on top nice crack to it and the creamy texture was just right not too dense.
This was a nice surprise and the was some passion in the cooking and will highly likely to be back
Isa is very consistent with their dishes. We’ve been here many times so we know what to order, and what we expect always meets expectations.
Good food, great guest service, but don't think the food worth that much money
Friendly service, good food, good portions.
SF restaurant week menu is superb. Portions are just right. Great food overall. Definitely will go again.
