food all came at different times
back was very loud
overcooked duck but they did replace it
has been a favorite
The grilled octopus was so tasty. Our service from the bar to the table was excellent. We enjoyed the flavors of all of our meals. The dishes are small. I am not that big of an eater and I thought it was perfectly proportioned. I was disappointed Open Table had Happy Hour as $1 oysters. This was not the case at all. The prices of the Happy Hour are more expensive than what was listed.
I would still recommend you try this restaurant.
It took over an hour to get any food, had to ask to get any of our food. Food was good but it was incredibly slow.
We had a larger group for a birthday and we all had such a phenomenal time. The service was fantastic and the back patio is really cute.
Way too busy for the amount of servers. Food was pretty good, however it obviously sat waiting to be delivered to our table for quite a while as most all of it was rather cool; no where close to being hot off the grill.
We were celebrating two birthdays, (60 zero acknowledgement.
The host must have seen my notes because he knew I requested a "quiet" table, however none exists in this particular establishment.
The waiter tried hard and was very busy and overwhelmed, to a point where if it were me I likely would have quit on the spot.
Too packed, food too cold, service too slow. With all the options available for restaurants we will not return.
A charming, neighborhood establishment. Definitely a must-visit-again, restaurant.
Isa's terrific and the best value in San Francisco
Isa took special care of our group, making our experience very personalized and exceptional. Thank you for caring about each and every one of your diners!
Love their prix fix menu! Every dish is excellent. The truffle risotto was the bomb! They need a full bar and better champagnes.
Great place to go for special occasions. Food is consistent but dishes are on the smaller portion size.
Isa combines amazing food with great service. It's one of my default places in SF for occasions.
Isa is one of those rare gems that is consistently good and offers great value. They have oysters for happy hour in addition to a great selection of wines. Always happy to come here.
We had a wonderful time at Isa. The service was excellent! Everyone; from our server, manager, runners were so nice. The prix fixe menu available was both substantial and delicious.
Food always excellent & healthy ! Very friendly & caring Owner + Staff. Always enjoy our dining experience at Isa!
This experience was very enjoyable. Good fodd and good service. Will definitely go again.
Worse customer service in my entire dining experience! Server Forgot one dinner, it eventually came out after everyone in our party (4) finished our meals, never served water, or asked about our meals. Not a very pleasant dining experience!!!
Friendly service. Great for large parties or just a party of two.
Everything was lovely
Very romantic ambience, food was excellent. We went for the prefixed menu, but even being vegetarians the menu had a handful of options for each course, and the food was excellent.
Valentine's Day dinner was a disaster. Long waits, inconsistent service, food that was often cold. This may be an outlier, but I certainly won't go there again even if it's for casual dining.
For Valentine’s Day, there was a lot of people and it was to be expected. The seating was very close that we could hear other people’s conversations. For the food, which was a 5 course meal, the food came out in the order of when it’s ready rather than receive both guests appetizers or entrees at the same time. Overall, our server was great and the food was delicious.
Great value, high quality food enhanced by skilled timed cooking, attentive service with a smile, and appreciated the staff giving me extra sauce for my unfinished chicken dish. I didn’t even ask for it either. It’s attention to little details like that that makes this place a favorite.
We always have a great meal there. Especially love the oysters on the half shell, prawns in butter sauce appetizer and the sweetbreads. Prices are a great value - especially the wines by the glass.
We had a lovely time! Esteban was awesome, attentive but gave us space to enjoy our early Valentine’s Day date. He was able to answer our questions on the menu, provide suggestions, ensured our food was delivered with perfect timing, and we were on our way to our concert on time! Food was delicious, portions were good, as was the presentation. Dessert was tasty! Loved that we could enjoy happy hour prices on our drinks as well!
Excellent as always. Great spot for restaurant week or any special menu they do. Converted back patio is lovely.
Service was mostly good overall but definitely not superb. The waiter that impressed me the most was likely the manager, judging by his behavior and body language. He was courteous, professional, and follows up on requests that I'd made. But I had one table runner who dropped off the dish and the spoon onto the table making a real loud spank noise, and just walked away like nothing had happened. Definitely not what I would expect from this level of restaurant. Food was mostly good. The carpaccio wasn't impressive because the taste of soy sauce completely covered over the fish. Salad was good and enjoyed it. Dessert was mediocre..
We’ve haven’t been back for quite awhile & decided to have dinner @ Isa to take advantage of Restaurant Week. We were not disappointed & realized that we need to return again soon. Our server was top notched and the special 4-course dinner was delicious!!!
During restaurant week Isa seemed very hectic. Our dishes came out of order and the food was thrown down on our table.
Table wasn’t ready so they sat us in the patio, which is fine. Only thing is that it was loud... but food is fantastic. We went for restaurant week... maybe that was the mistake. We left being hungry so we went across the street for a drink and some light food.
It’s SFRestaurauntWeek! 2020 fancy dining at it’s best in the Marina. Four course meal - alcohol optional. Food quality was great. Had a lot of fish/ veggie options. Good sized portions (not too small/ nor overly exuberant) with standard fancy plating. Flavors were palatable - my friend had scallops and I had sole fish pan seared. It was great! Will def suggest this restaurant to the next one who inquires about them. Will def need to try the duck, chicken or steak.
This neighborhood restaurant has been a favorite for years. The food is consistently very good and we have never been disappointed there. Our last visit was during Restaurant Week, so service was a bit bumpier than usual because they were slammed. Other than this, service is consistently good. Have recommended Isa to many friends, all of whom have been pleased.
Came here with some friends for restaurant week. Really good food, spectacular service!!
Absolutely loved my experience the first time that I went twice during restaurant week. Such amazing food! The staff is working so hard to make restaurant week happen and I truly appreciate it. Feel very lucky to live close and excited to dine again here and use my special red envelope offers when I’m back from my trip in a month. Thank you again!
Phenomenal dinner and a great night to spend with a significant other or close friends. Was a great time overall and to go during restaurant week made for a great treat. Have already recommended to friends and will continue to do so.
Fantastic food, service, and vibe!
