Irvington Ratings and Reviews
Last week, with my wife and sister, I celebrated my birthday at Irvington. All seemed fine until the stomach cramps started on the way home from dinner. What followed was hours in the bathroom. The next day, I learned that my sister also spent most of the night in the bathroom.
Four days ago my sister called the restaurant and left a message for the manager. As of now, now reply. Nice.
We were looking for a nice spot for dinner before a show at Irving Plaza. I think we scored a bullseye! Absolutely no complaints on any area. We'll be back here long before we'll be back at Irving Plaza. Everything great from cocktails to dessert, including the service.
Took advantage of the restaurant week menu and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. My two daughters ordered from both the regular menu and rw menu and everything was perfect.
My only complaint is that the waitstaff is not as attentive as it should be especially when the restaurant was almost empty.
Came here to celebrate an anniversary, and I was really pleasantly surprised. The food was exemplary. It may have been the best chicken I've ever had in my life--and I've eaten more than my fair share of chicken. Everything was really perfect. I will certainly be back. LOVED IT!
Unfortunately I can't leave a great review about this restaraunt. Maybe we were unlucky that day but me and my boyfriend both got sick after our lunch/ dinner. My boyfriend picked a restaraunt week menu and I ordered from the main menu the octopus salad & lobster roll. Food was average.
Came for summer restaurant week dinner with a friend and it did not disappoint! Each course was delicious with portions that were just the right size. We both ordered the prime rib, which was cooked and seasoned perfectly. With so many great restaurants in New York, I wouldn't normally recommend a restaurant in a hotel, but I would come back to Irvington and recommend to others for sure.

I highly recommend this restaurant. Everything is perfection from the wonderful service by Rachel, she managed to get my complicated burger order just right.
As mentioned, the service is great, the burger, is one of my favorite in the city, including their delicious fries and out of this world bacon!
I also highly recommend their blueberry peach pie which is homemade and you could tell that the fruit is picked fresh from the farmers market. I can't wait to go back! Also the cocktails are on point as well.
While the menu is not extensive the choices were excellent. The hummus appetizer was delicious and the vegetables it was served with made it special. Each of the entrées was enough food to be reasonable but not so much as to cause us to over eat. Service was steady. Overall experience was very nice
We have eaten here a few times and are never disappointed. The food is very tasty and the service even better. The menu offers unique twists on standard favorites - leek pizza, oven baked grilled cheese, as well as a nice weekend brunch menu.
They have a nice space for private parties as well.
We recommend you give it a try.
Our waiter was attentive initially, but then we lost him. Fried artichoke appetizer was served with the meal with no apology. The food was good, but a request to switch from feta to Swiss on the lamb burger resulted in a $3 charge. When did Swiss cheese become more expensive than feta? We were never offered dessert - just finding our waiter to order coffee was a challenge, even though we told him when we were seated that we had an 8:00 curtain ... and then we had to request the check. Disappointing.
