   The food was good and the ambience was great but the service left much to be desired. Our waiter was good but the service was slow. It seemed like it took a long time for everything.

   Food tasted good, but none of the eggs were poached (all hard) and it was cold getting to the table. Service was EXTREMELY slow and forgetful, including asking for silverware multiple times and splitting checks incorrectly.

   The food was good, but we waited a very long time for wine glasses to pour the wine that was delivered to the table. They had to hunt down glasses to wash?!?!? The food was very good - but expensive for what you got! The server worked her tail off, and had a lot of tables to serve. She was pleasant and as accommodating as she could be considering the lack of support from the back!

   The NY Strip was super dry and had little flavor. The filet was was over cooked and tough. The prices were fairly high for the low quality food. Server was great however, only redeeming aspect of the meal.

    We decided to go here very last minute to celebrate our anniversary. I had eaten lunch once & it was great so I wanted to try dinner. It was perfect, the food, the atmosphere, not loud at all so we could still hear one another. The wine & cocktail offerings were varied & unique. The oyster appetizer was more baked than grilled but delicious. My filet was cooked perfectly and his pork chop was huge. The pots de crème dessert was perfect to share for a little something sweet. But one of the highlights was the best cappuccino either of us had ever had, made perfectly by our waiter who obviously knew his stuff. We will be back sooner than later.

    Take ways: aesthetically pleasing, great service, good pricing, very accommodating. From reservation to paying out service was great. I wanted to do a small gathering for friends to replace having a baby shower. Our attendant was Kayla and was she great! Very attentive, sweet, gave her honest recommendations which resulted in everyone being very satisfied with their food. I and another friend are pregnant and couldn’t have mimosas with our friends however Kayla asked what type of drinks we like (Champagne, French 75, Margaritas & Ginger Beer) and we got the best drink ever from the bartender with that information. My friend actually said “this is so good I’m wondering if they may have added a lil something to it” lol they didn’t. Our only con was over 6ppl you have to do one check which I wish we knew that before but it wasn’t a big deal I just like to be prepared for things like that to rely the information to my party. Being pregnant I was very picky I had the Birmingham Benedict but with scrambled eggs instead & I added a piece of the beer batter fish. I said this to show that they are willing to accommodate whatever your heart desires. I would totally come again (this was my 2nd time)

    25 min to get water - 55 min wait to get apps and breadbasket - 90 min to get entree that was undercooked - took 3 times to get steak cooked to appropriate temp but the fillet was smaller and smaller each time it returned. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Never going there again - ever.

    We were sitting outside so can’t comment on noise. Food was good and unique to most other restaurants in the area but of course they had steak, ,chicken and other common dinner offerings. Looked like a good vegetarian option.

    Really nice location. Food was disappointing. Salmon salad dressing was so sweet like eating lemon custard. Beef bread appetizer was cold. Tasted OK. Cocktails were great but food was lacking and not worth the price.

    Smoked old fashioned is what brought me back to this place. They were so great on my first visit and I’ve done a lot of bragging on how good they were to lots of friends and co-workers. I cannot say they same for this past visit. They didn’t even put a cherry in it, had to request after the drink arrived. Came for a burger but they wouldn’t serve one during the dinner hour, just disappointed there!

    I was searching everywhere around the city to eat out for my birthday with my family and came across Ironwood. The atmosphere was amazing. The food was super amazing. Our waiter made us welcomed and pleased us with every request we had. Definitely making another trip soon.

    Beautiful night to sit outside. Lovely patio area. Great place for friends night out. Food was good. This isn’t a gourmet type experience but the ambiance is great and the food is good and priced appropriately. Very enjoyable!

    I wish I could give NO stars. It wasn’t busy, yet we waited close to 40 mins for cocktails..and not fancy ones. We asked several times, but still waited. When they finally arrived, the Prosecco was warm. We left.

    The location is great, atmosphere is good. The Gin and Tonic was really good, I do recommend that. But the menu is extremely limited and the portions for a filet was only a mere 3oz for $50 I found that overpriced. The restaurant seems to be trying to be upscale but then their servers are in a light blue gingham it doesn't work for me. I had the caesar salad, it was okay, I don't recommend it, I didn't care for the pig ears instead of croutons. The portion of the salads were good though. I would recommend as a meeting place for cocktails because the cocktail I had was really good and so is the atmosphere but I do not recommend dining here.

    We dined with friends from out of town. Perfect dinner and experience. We had drinks on the outside patio by the fire. Our waiter was attentive and food was delicious. Drinks were on point! They we so impressed with the restaurant and Birmingham! We may get another transplant couple moving here next year. Support local restaurants. So much to be proud of here ;)

    We had a party of eight and the kitchen was very inept about getting the food out as a group. Some of the food never came out and it had to be canceled from the bill. Same can be said for orders from the bar. The server did not pay very much attention to us until another table was gone. At which time she said we now had her undivided attention. The NCAA tournament was on and there was a private room available that had a TV in it. We asked if we could use it. We were told no because another party was coming in shortly to use that space. That party never showed up. And they even closed the door to that room so we couldn’t see the TV. Poor all around.

    We went for our anniversary and it was the worst decision ever. The only person who was professional was the attendant who seated us. The waitress was very slow it took her 15 minutes to bring us our drink order. We had to flag her down to get our food ordered. My husband ordered the pork chop and it was tough. He left half of it on the plate. I finally received my appetizer it was barely warm ( the quail appetizer) not worth the price. The restaurant is lovely, the food ok but the service SUCKED.
