For decades, craftspeople from around the world were drawn to Homewood by a common theme - the lure of fire and iron. The ability to wield a spark became their calling card and for these hard-working artisans, food played a key role in their legendary story. Ironwood Kitchen & Cocktails is a tribute to this legacy where iron and fire come together to create elevated comfort food for a new generation in Birmingham.

Chargrilled oysters were barely cooked, scallops were over cooked. Flavor was basically non existent in our food. The fries were good. The cocktails were great.

We asked for outdoor seating, at first the table they where going to sit us, was right by the door where people would be walking past us the whole time. I requested to move over to a table on the green with a umbrella. Upon the request the Hostess stated "I guess we can do this, while rolling her eyes. Seated then left, it took about ten minutes to have a server approach us. She apologized for the delay, probably by realizing the hostess did not notify the server of the change. Our server was great, even brought over flowers to the table upon request. We received our food with quite a wait. It was good but the pouched eggs where overcooked, the server offered to redo, but I did decline, just requesting more hollandaise that seemed to be limited on the Benedict. Enjoy the rest, of our service. As we left the restaurant, heading out, passed by the hostess stand, two hostesses and a server standing there in a great conversation, one looked my way thinking they would stop there conversation and wish us a Happy Easter and Thank you, but that didn't happen, looked at me and then went back to there conversation! Very surprised by that, Hostesses need to have training on customer service as they are the front of the house as well as the servers!

Our first time and we went for Easter brunch so a limited menu but we enjoyed the food and venue. Service was less than expected but we weren’t in a hurry so it was fine for today. .

At here for Easter brunch. Food came out faster than expected and was good. We had reservations for 5 people and were seated at a half moon booth with a chair in the main walkway asile. Wit a reservation I would have expected a normal table and it was not crowded to the point the extra seating was needed. Took a bit long to get the check but overall it was good and reasonable priced.
