   Great idea & foundations for something excellent, but lacking in execution. The finger sandwiches are too long to actually be finger sandwiches. There is an overpowering amount of dill in the salmon sandwiches. The cucumber in the cucumber sandwiches should be English Cucumber. The biggest sin though is that despite having tea kettles equiped for loose leaf tea, the tea used is Tazo tea. With that said, the lounge is very comfortable, the scones are delicious, and the service is genuinely excellent. With some changes to the menu, this experience could easily jump to being an authentic & excellent tea service.

   What a great afternoon tea experience. The home made treats were delicious and adding champagne was the perfect accompaniment. Would highly recommend and so happy this is now and option in Portland!

   Gabby was our server and was attentive without hovering. Kadie (sp) was on hand to fill in the service gaps. The high tea food was delicious and the tea was very good with several varieties to choose from. I hope high tea at the Regency becomes a ‘thing’ because if it does, we’ll be back often.

   A very enjoyable way to spend a rainy afternoon. The room is set up with intimate arrangements of comfortable chairs & sofas. Food items are presented on a tiered plates & offer a variety of sweet & savory. Everything was delicious & service staff are helpful & attentive.

   Enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea at the Iron Side Whiskey Lounge in the Regency Hotel. Delicious sandwiches, excellent tea, and a relaxed atmosphere. Free valet parking was a fantastic bonus. Highly recommend!

   I wanted to be able to give this a good review as there aren’t many places locally that offer afternoon tea. My family & I dressed for the occasion & showed up with enthusiasm. Unfortunately, the team hosting the tea did not. The menu is fixed, as you would expect but they did not serve what was advertised on the menu. Our sandwiches had stale bread, the petit fours which were on the menu, were replaced with an odd mushy overwhelmingly sweet chocolate thing & the advertised macarons were very clearly purchased at Costco & haphazardly thrown onto the tier. The end result was not attractive as you would expect a tier of afternoon tea foods would be but instead was entirely sad looking. I have purchased better macarons from a local coffee shop. The music made no sense for the event and you are basically seated in the lobby so everyone checking in & out of the hotel keep popping their heads in. The only thing about the event that at all aligned with being an afternoon was that they did in fact serve the tea in a proper tea cup. I have no problem paying $33 per person for a proper afternoon tea but this wasn’t worth $5. It probably would have helped them if someone had actually had any enthusiasm for hosting this but it unfortunately came across as a sad attempt for the hotel to make some extra money with no regard for quality. We made the best of it but honestly, would have been better off having afternoon tea at home.

   Hi Amanda, Thank you for your honest feedback. I am sorry that we did not deliver on the expected experience, especially on your birthday. We value guest input and do take it to heart. As we are just launching there are always some tweaks to be made. We have made changes to the vendors we use and to the flow for the afternoon tea service which will hopefully enhance the overall experience. We are honored that you chose to celebrate your birthday with us and we hope to see you again.
