Iron Rooster - McHenry Row
Whether you’re looking for breakfast all day, lunch or drinks, at Iron Rooster you’ll find a new twist on traditional comfort food, legendary hospitality, and a real sense of community. Reservations are for main dining room only. We do not accept reservations for the patio or the bar area.
Poor service, adequate food. Hope they get better!
.........love it love the food, love the service... I always get the chicken n waffles with gravy on top.... it's the absolute best
I was meeting a college friend for lunch, and since I had made a reservation through OpenTable the man at the reception desk seated us right away, ahead of some apparent walk-ins, which I appreciated. The place was pretty full but service was quick and the food very good. I look forward to coming back, thanks.
Always a good experience. Friendly service, tasty food, reasonable prices...and Roostarts!
We were seated promptly and had great service. The food was great and an excellent value.
The pop tart was great! Two of our three sandwiches were over cooked. The manager was very nice and did not charge us for the one we complained about. The beer ordered was old. They did not charge us for the beer. The service was slow but they were missing a server. The staff was very nice
We made our reservations for Christmas Eve, only to arrive and find they were closed...I am not sure why I was able to reserve a table for a restaurant that was not open."
All in all it was good. We were left alone to conduct business but it took a long time for them to come back and check if we were ready. The staff was very nice and the place was perfect to chat and eat.
Birthday celebration. They made no fanfare nor any special arrangements or celebratory gestures. Otherwise, it was a decent meal with a very friendly staff. Would go again for a reasonable meal at an establishment which is not very crowded (not crowded at all for a late Saturday afternoon in a big city).
Food was just okay. Seems the other locations of Iron Rooster are all somewhat different in quality and taste compared to the original location in Canton. First time at McHenry Row and I wasn't impressed with the portion size nor the quality. Their usual delicious pop tarts were terrible. Not sure if the recipe has changed and this is the "new norm" or if this location gets them boxed in or has a different recipe altogether. It was completely empty on a Friday night. I can't really see this location surviving...
Love this location!
Great service and food. Great place for a business lunch/conversation
Food selection was large. Chicken pot pie was delicious. Chicken and waffles were perfectly prepared
Avocado toast with your choice of pork or Turkey bacon was delicious.
The RoosTarts were amazing!
I was looking forward to returning here, as my first experience was fantastic. This time, I was disappointed. Staff were friendly, but we were almost the only customers, so everything should have been perfect? No. Our food did not arrive together. Mine was cold when it arrived, and one meal didn't arrive until about 10 minutes after the other three. We had to ask for coffee refills, boxes for leftovers, etc. It's not good to feel neglected when there are only two other customers in the restaurant.
Great food! The server was very attentive and our food came out quickly as well. Great for breakfast, lunch or dinner!
High School graduation
Never disappointed whenever we go! We always get the breakfast nachos yummy! The Lemon tart was out of this world. It was so good 😁 Everything else was great too! To much to name! We’ve never had a bad dish!
This is a typical chain restaurant/sports bar. Food and service were average. Catfish and vegan entrees were OK but not memorable. We needed a quick dinner after a busy day and this fit the bill. Not very crowded on a Saturday night, but the weather was very bad. Will come again if we are in a hurry, but would not go out of our way to select this place for a regular relaxed weekend dinner. Free parking a plus. Atmosphere was bright and not very romantic. Other patrons had young children and/or dogs with them.
This was a great choice for mother’s day dinner. Not a noisy restaurant so was great for my parents hearing aids
The food was good, but nothing special. They used to have a more interesting menu, but I guess since they have four locations they had to tighten up the menu. Too bad because they used to make an awesome pork belly ramen. Definitely go for brunch and the poptart, dinner, not so much.
They made a birthday lunch extra special! Great service, great food and a great pop tart!
Wonderful experience with Micah. We had a reservation that dwindled rapidly and she took the best care of us on Opening Day morning. First time at Iron Rooster and the food was absolutely amazing.
Amazing salads and very enthusiastic server!
I think this location just opened so they need some time to get it together.
I’ve been to several iron rooster locations, this is probably the worst one. Service was impossibly slow for being not busy on a Friday night. The food was decent, consistent with other locations. The service will keep me from returning to this particular location.
This was my second time eating at an Iron Rooster restaurant. The food was good..I had chicken and waffles. Hubby says his grits were too runny. But overall nice place. I would eat here again. The first time I had a pot pie and it was delicious. The servers are friendly and attentive. No complaints.
Celebrated a birthday. Food was very good. Waitress was awesome. Not many people there for a Saturday evening so I hope that the weather kept them away; don’t want to lose this Locust Point gem!
We normally love Iron Rooster, but this was absolutely the worst experience we have ever had there. From the moment we walked in, with nobody at the hostess stand, Staff wandering around almost as though they were lost, finally being seated (and this was 5:00 pm) and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. The waitress did not know the menu, never refilled any of our drinks or even asked if she could refill our drinks and disappeared for long periods of time. The food out of the kitchen took a long time, was cold, and just ok. The pop tarts were amazing, but we were given two banana pop tarts, when we ordered one banana pop tart and one brown sugar pop tart. Very, very disappointed in this trip and will be a long time before we go back.
Referred by a friend to check this place out for their breakfast menu. This one was close by my house so i made a reservation but didn’t need one since they weren’t busy at all. My date enjoyed her food, the chicken and waffles. I got the French toast and wasn’t super impressed. I would go again but I’d try something different next time around.
Chicken and waffles was excellent. Restaurant was very cold which took away from the experience. Had the crabby deviled eggs and the eggs were like rubber. Miss Shirley’s is certainly better for eggs.
Iron Rooster has the best breakfast foods. Chicken & waffles is the go to. This location is amazing because they had 8 flavors of homemade poptarts!! (Rather than 2 like at Annapolis or canton). You have to get a Pop tart, but they're huge so you might want to share! We also had great service from the staff and they were very helpful assisting me while I was on crutches.
If you're a breakfast fan, this place is great because they serve breakfast all day. The waffles looked terrific, and if you're into chicken and waffles, that's a specialty.
Unlike other locations. Not a fan of this location but it wasn’t bad. Service could have been better
This is the first time at this location and didn't realize how large it was. They took over from the Green Turtle as well as the pizza shop next to it. Quiet morning and the waiter said it was really slower than normal there, compared to other locations.
Service was good and the food arrived quickly. I do like that you can get breakfast all day but also lunch items in the morning too.
The homemade Pop Tarts looked delicious and will have to try them on the next visit.
Great food, and breakfast all day is amazing! This is stupid that you have to write a certain number of characters
Service was friendly and prompt. The food was amazing! I had a salad with a half avocado filled with crab salad. Delicious. The waitress was kind enough to bring both a cup of the parsley vinaigrette and the ranch. Both were really good.
