Iron Hill - Center City
The shrimp on the appetizer menu was nasty, it taste like it was just dipped n Mayo and served. The calamari was not seasoned well at all. I had to send both dishes back. This was our first time dining at this iron hill. We usually go to the one in chestnut hill and the food there is MUCH BETTER! I will not be visiting this particular iron hill anytime soon!
Great service and experience.
Excellent food and beer. Incredible service! Would definitely go again.
Really nice and efficient servers, food was very good. The beer selection is interesting and varied. The experience was so pleasant that we returned the next night and were glad we did. We’ll be back!
Excellent service! Our reservation wasn’t until 1pm but my graduation ceremony let out earlier and we had no problems being seated! Beer was excellent; cucumber cooler was amazing! Pretzels and the Rhode Island calamari were excellent!!
My ordered her stake well done it came out medium rare. This resulted in her not being able to eat with me and our daughter. That was really tough cause it was mother's day. They were nice about it they redid her meal and took it off the bill. We usually like iron hill so this was just a one off I'm sure.
Great service, kid-friendly atmosphere, and delicious food!
Food was average and service was okay. It's in the heart of Philadelphia so expect $$$
The beer was very good and enjoyed the flight option. The food was good, the kids meals were a little basic. The chicken dish was literally a piece of chicken with a side of fries- no garnish or anything else on the plate. I would recommend.
Great food, good beer menu. Good spot for visitors.
The wait staff (Joseph) was very attentive. Had the jager spaetzle, the pork was good. I was not expecting the spaetzle to be pan fried.
The restaurant was nice and good food. Price was a bit high for what you got and my salad was never given to me. The waiter was very nice but didn’t check in often.
Dinner was fantastic! Our food was absolutely delicious! The server was wonderful! We have been there before & will definitely return!
The location is very convenient, and the atmosphere was very nice. I got the crab cakes, there were too salty, and breast. More bread then crab meat. Other then that I had a great time there.
I Love Iron Hill in West Chester PA, Chestnut Hill PA and Wilmington DE.
The Center City Philadelphia location bar is good but the restaurant portion not so good. Had a reservation but didn’t get seated for 15 min because of confusion not volume of patrons. After being seated another 15 before our drink order was taken and 25 min before our drinks arrived after multiple requests. Food portions were small and the food was cold and the bill was $71.00 for 1 beer, 1 iced tea and 5 apps that were sub par...not up to the usual Iron Hill standard . The beer was great!
Excellent stop in for lunch during a busy work day. Food was perfect and timely.
My son and I absolutely love Iron Hill Brewery! We usually frequent the ones in Delaware, though. I noticed this location the last two times we visited the Convention Center (Philly Auto Show | Flower Show). I told my son we visit at a later date!
Well we visited yesterday May 5, 2019!! Just in time for Cinco de Mayo. I made a reservation while on the way to the restaurant. We arrived at 4:15 pm for a 4:30 pm reservation and was immediately seated.
It didn't take too long for our waitress to arrive to take our orders. We ordered all appetizers which made for a nice meal.
My son ordered Boneless Buffalo Wings with French Fries. I ordered: Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls, Hand-Cut Sweet Potato Fries and a Caesar Salad. I also ordered TWO drinks!!
When our food arrived, they forgot my son's French Fries. We had to remind our waitress. She quickly retrieved a small amount of fries (wasn't really a lot).
When we first arrived, the restaurant wasn't really packed, but the longer we were there the busier it became.
Our waitress didn't hover, but I would have liked to see her more than we did. We spent close to two hours and $70. Will definitely return in the future.
Food was decent, but there were flies that were flying around the food. Could have been cleaner.
Good but the nachos were ice cold
Amazing as per usual
Had the turkey burger which didn't come out with the guac it was supposed to have but the waitress did bring it out on the side when brought to her attention. With the guac the burger was delish. Coworker had the salmon burger which he said was very good. We were glad we made reservations as the place was buzzing with customers but got in promptly at our reservation time. Overall good but not great but would return.
My boyfriend and I came for late night drinks & food. Such an awesome vibe, good food, and good beer. Perfect amount of people for a Saturday night. Still very chill but fun
We sat at the bar and Madolyn the bartender waited on us. She was very pleasant, friendly, helpful and had great customer service skills. We enjoyed our evening. Only disappointment was there was no volume on the sixers game but Madolyn explained why no broadcasting and we understood it then. My only other comment that I like to make is that it’s very bright in there. When dining at night you might want to dim overhead lights.
Thank you Madolyn for making our night enjoyable. Your 🍋 💧🍸 was spot on! 😊
Great service all around
First time here. Food was great. Beer was outstanding! Will definitely be back.
Great place!! Service could have been better but wasn't horrible.
Excellent food and service. Located within walking distance to most centre city hotels. Will definitely return next trip to Philly.
I eat there about once a month. Service this time was slow. At first, the dinning room was only half full, still the waitress didn't come very often to refill water, for example. As the dinning room became more crowded, we saw even less of her.
Everything was great. Wife’s steak was a little over cooked but she ordered medium well so what’s the difference. Haha.
The food was good, albeit a bit overpriced. But, we had issues with a homeless woman that was sitting down at peoples tables and asking for money, eating food off their plates, etc. I don’t believe management handled it well, as it continued for about 15-20 minutes. All together, it was a good restaurant and is in a great location, right in the heart of Philadelphia.
Busy downtown spot. Food and service were good. Watch your bags! A guy tried to take a handbag from the back of one our chairs.
I’ve a big fan of Iron Hill and have been to multiple locations, every time having a great experience. This night was probably the best time I have ever had! The booth we were placed in by the bar was PERFECT and our serve Ian was phenomenal!! Not to mention the food was out of this world for the price. Keep up the great work :)
The service was outstanding and the Streaks we ordered where the best I ever tasted!!!!
Need to do something about the fruitflies/ nats flying around!
The service is much better at the Chestnut Hill location, which we love. The food is still delicious in Center City.
Great dinner, friendly staff. Good experience but I’d have a reservation for sure
Using the OpenTable was great, and our server was so good, and very attentive. I will definatley be back and use OpenTable again.
Fish and chips too greasy and steak a little fatty
Great food and beer!
Most food options were delicious. Asian soup was extremely sweet. Schnitzel was thick and over cooked. The remaining meals were delicious
