We love being an KOTH member & we are treated as such. Love the grubb & Handcrafted flavors that the team rocks out! Making me happy!
Food very good. Service excellent. Crab cakes could have been served warmer. Beer was very good,
We had a larger party and loved that we could make the reservation on OpenTable. Excellent service too. Love the salmon salad, cheesesteak egg rolls and the naked burger salad. Only issue was they had “pretzels” on the menu - which aren’t pretzels - just breadsticks with seasoning. They need to have real pretzels on the menu. Would taste so much better. Other than that, just great dinner!
We had a huge party and lots of kiddos....but the service was fantastic (and patient). Iron Hill is the BEST!
With dedicated meat and potatoes folk and vegetarians, it can be hard to find a middle ground in Delaware, but Iron Hill left everyone happy.
When we first were shown to our table, it was in the upstairs bar area and too loud to think, let-alone-talk. A quick word with the hostess and we were moved to a much better location downstairs and the entire staff was very accommodating and helpful with hosts, wait-persons, and the manager checking to make sure we were happy. Great response from everyone, and a good time was had by all.
Great food and service.
I took my wife out for Valentines Day at Iron Hill Brewery because she likes their salads, but they had a special halibut dish that night and they made it just the way she requested. Then they offered to cover our drinks and dessert because our meal took so long to be served, but it was not that long and we barely noticed. We really appreciate that the manager came to us with that offer, and we had a very nice dinner. We will certainly go back again.
My drink of choice is a Moscow Mule. How do you offer this drink WITHOUT making it in a MULE MUG! Food is good here and I consider Iron Hill a bit more upscale than most restaurants of this type. However, MULE MUGS are BASIC to most restaurants these days due to the increased popularity of this cocktail. Try purchasing some, especially with the height of the season of the "cousin" of this cocktail (the Kentucky Mule) coming in May. Food was good though and waitress was very attentive and helpful.
We’ve been coming to Iron Hill Brewery on the Riverfront for the past 5 years. The food is incredibly delicious every time. Have never had a bad meal here. Our server was pretty awesome, Jake I think. If you like beer and delicious unique food, this is your restaurant. We like the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff.
The $29 rib eye steak dinner was not worth the money and was not what I expected. Not very thick, more gristle and fat than I expected, and was difficult to cut. I discarded at least 25% of it.
The asparagus was old and tough.
The mashed potatoes were good. The brussle sprouts were good.
Great place for a hearty meal and great beer, good service and friendly staff
Our waiter was great! Food was excellent! Beer was tasty!
We were in around 2:45 for a late lunch with the kiddos. The food was TERRIFIC. We had several appetizers and all were delicious, hot, crave-able, and everything else pub food should be. Beer was fresh and unique. Root beer was also a hit. The service was lackluster despite the empty dining room but that was a minor inconvenience in light of the food. Definitely stop in!! You won’t regret it!
Iron Hill is one of our favorite restaurants. Our recent visit wasn't one of our best. There were five of us. Three meals came out together, but the other two didn't come out for over five minutes later. Our waitress while nice and friendly, wasn't quite as attentive as she could have been. Also the party of at least 12 seated next to us were extremely loud!
Great salmon special! Everyone was able to get very different meals and all were enjoyed.
There were 13 in our party though reserved 16. The food was excellent, the service was great and everyone in the party was extremely pleased. Couldn't ask for me.
Brussel sprouts were great, nachos were good, fries were horrible. Fun place to meet with friends though.
Everytime I eat at Iron Hill I am reminded that it is a very good restaurant. My wife and I greatly enjoyed dinner the other night. The food was very good and our server, Skyler, was a real gem.
Good food, good beer, pleasant atmosphere
It was quite busy for 1:00 PM on a weekday. It sounded like there was a special event in the main dining room, as there was a lot of clapping. The food was good, if a little pricey for a casual lunch.
Enjoyed the new menu, especially the shrimp and scallops. Beers are always great! Service great. One of our go to places.
We were headed to a show at The Playhouse, which started at 8 so I made a reservation for 6pm so we could take our time and enjoy our meal before the show. Things started out well. Our server was perfectly nice, we got our drinks and placed appetizer orders, which all came out in a timely fashion. We also both ordered a salad and entree of course. The salads came out rather quick after appetizers, but the literally two minutes after receiving our salads our entrees came out. It was like they were trying to rush us out, which I really didn't understand because the place was not that busy. All told our dining experience was 30 minutes start to finish. What I found most irritating was none of the dishes were cleared until we had finished our entrees. All of the dirty dishes from our appetizers and salads were left on the table for the whole meal. Since we had been rushed through dinner and still had an hour and a half until our show started we decided we wanted coffee and dessert; however, we were not offered dessert and our server simply dropped the check on the table and walked away. Again rushing us for no apparent reason. Our server did not return for a good ten minutes at which point we informed him we wanted coffee and dessert. The food was good, but the service was terrible and for that reason alone we most likely won't return.
Great food. Great service!! Everyone pumped for super bowl!! Go eagles!!!!
Every Iron Hill dining experience is enjoyable, including this location.
The atmosphere is that of a pub, not quite but you can easily converse with fellow guests. Beer selection is good and the menu just changed some. The fried cauliflower appetizer was delicious. We go there often and enjoyed our go to regular menu items. The staff is courteous and informed on the menu choices and how they are prepared. Well worth the money.
I am a huge fan of Iron Hill. It’s my go to place for happy hour or any event really. I’ve never had a bad experience!
It was great!!
Enjoyed a great birthday celebration here.
Very good French Onion soup.
Fish tacos were outstanding. The server was very attentive. We will be back!!
The Organic chicken was spectacular!!!
In all, an ok experience. Most disappointed with the fact I had reservations at 6 pm. We were there few min early. Not very interested girl at check in tells us table being readied and hands us a pager. 15 min later- still waiting. Go to barely awake receptionist to ask how much longer. Another check in person overheard my asking and tells me she sent me a text to my cell a few min ago. Well, my phone was on mute and I don’t live with it in my face- so never got that nor was I alerted to the fact I might get a text. Obviously not so awake receptionist did not communicate with other receptionist about @ open table reservation. We waited another 3-4 min then taken to table @25 min after we were scheduled. From there things went more smoothly. Not a great impression! Left pretty underwhelmed about reception. Food and rest of service ok but not exceptional. Would not rush to return.
