Brian our waiter was awesome. Food was food and served quickly.
We've never had a bad meal at Iron Hill.
Great service, food and value. The renovations are beautiful too!
The Beer was perfect and the food on par! The service is 98% perfect most trips and this time it was fantastic again! King of the Hill membership is the way to go!
Hostess was great and so was the manager but the waiter brought the whole experience down. We ordered drinks and they didn’t come till after we were done eating. He was no where to be found. Other tables around us were just as frustrated. Maybe our waiter needs to find a job he likes because this was not a good experience.
Love this restaurant! Wasn’t happy with the salmon and risotto special that night but this is still one of my favorite places to dine! Will be back soon!!!
Usually the food is outstanding. We found it to be underwhelming this time. Falafel sandwich was a great concept, taste was good, but was difficult to eat. Crab cakes - can I get some crab meat? Was all filler which is a major sin in DE. And I know it’s a brewery but not everyone will want to drink, so how about a good NA beer option. There are a lot of craft brewed options available now.
First time to Iron Hill and our family of four was very impressed by the quality of all four of our meals. Fried asparagus appetizer was a standout. Tasty onion soup, burger, and tenderloin in madeira sauce. The Belgian Dubbel was AWESOME. We were there on a Saturday night and was glad to have made reservations. The place was PACKED at 6:30. The noise level is extremely high. Would go back for sure.
My family was here from out of town. We had a lovely dinner and I think I won them over to Iron Hill. They usually suggest Kid Shelleen.
Always have a great experience here. Love the beer and the food. Happy hour specials are a must as well as the witberry beer. Outside dining is the best as the newly renovated area is all hard surfaces so the acoustics are terrible and noise just seems amplified. It can be difficult to have a conversation even though the view from the windows is nice. Thankfully we were seated on the carpeted side on this visit.
Went on KOTH appreciation night. The small bite of Reuben sandwich paired with the new Bock was perfect. Philly Cheesesteak eggrolls appetizer was delicious as always, and my Monk burger was excellent. Had the sweet leaf IPA which was awesome, a fresh and crisp west-coast style IPA. Service was great, food was perfect, and the beer keeps getting better here. Thanks for an awesome night out Iron Hill.
Loud and extremely rude waiter in bar area. Will never be going back.
The server has good but she was also the bartender and was working other tables. There were plenty of seats open downstairs that had a server. It was unacceptable to be put upstairs and have to wait all meal for the bartender. We come in at least once or twice a month and it was very disappointed.
Met family for a birthday lunch. The food was great. Service was a little slow - probably just sat around waiting for drinks/check longer than it took us to get our food and eat. But overall it was good.
It was great. Food was good too
Food and drinks were great - good night out with girlfriends
Food was good. Service was fine. Had a nice window table with plenty of room. Only trouble was we were seated in bar area so it was a little too loud (meeting people for first time).
Focuses on beer drinkers but I don't drink beer. I meet friends at Iron Hill because the menu has lots of options, food is good. We were seated at a booth at my request so I could hear better over the restaurant noise. (Not just Iron Hill but most restaurant noise levels makes it hard for me to hear.)
We had a table reserved for 8 people. Some of our group was handicapped and this issue was told to the rep. We were given a table all the way in the back of the dining room. There were no rolls given, the food was OK, but the pricing was high. There were only a few seafood choices. We will not return.
The food and the service was great but it was very loud.
Been a fan of Iron Hill for a long time. Over the years, I kind of stick to IPAs and they have some really good ones. Last night I had a RedIPA. Really tasty. Their rewards club KOTH(King of the Hill) is a great deal at $15. By the time we left we got $20 off our next bill. Great menu, they remodeled recently and it looks great. It can get real busy, so make a reservation on OpenTable. Worked for us.
With reservation still had to wait over 15 minutes for a table. Had tickets to a show and didn’t want to feel like we had to rush through our meal
Saturday night...Usually enjoy coming to Iron Hill. This Wilmington location is VERY noisy. We were unfortunate to have a very large party seated near us. The acoustics made it impossible to talk across our table. One of our kids wore headphones the entire time. We got our check when we got our food, ate quickly and left. Service was fine, but food took awhile, our waiter was attentive and sympathetic to the noise issue. Next time ..... Iron Hill Newark.
Great place to meet friends for beers and food! Extensive menu choices!
Had a great time celebrating our fifth wedding anniversary with dinner at Iron Hill. We had the same server from our first date 8 years ago.
It was a busy night but the service and food was pretty good (Caesar Salad, Gumbo, Mediterranean Salmon, and Nachos) - no surprise as the food quality is pretty consistent. Service was a little slow, but again, it was busy and our server was apologetic and kept us updated - there was a gift card issue that was resolved as soon as we requested a manager. We’ll definitely returned as Iron Hill is a favorite, BUT we will request seating at a spot other than the booths in the bar - very tight and the seats rocked every time someone moved (surprising given that the recent renovations).
Husband and I went for a late valentines dinner. The waiter wasnt very attentive and we didnt get any bread or anything while waiting almost 45 mins for our food. I ordered the pan seared sirloin medium well and it was very tough to eat. The spinach was cold as well as the creme brulee tasted like it had been sitting out. My husband enjoyed his half chicken though. I had left over food but didnt even bother to take it home with me
Food was bland no taste no flavor the waitress took forever to give us 2 straws the best thing about the night was my ladies dessert I would never visit this place again
Restaurant was having a Valentine’s Day special with selections from set menu. Food was average. A little cold coming to the table but perhaps because it was unusually busy.
Great food and even better beer. Our waitress was very friendly and personable.
Our wait staff person was new and forgot our appetizer. When he brought our dinners he offered to check on our apps but at that point it was too late. Food was very good. We were seated upstairs and it was very cold.
The Valentine’s Day deal was so good!! The service was good! It is nice to be a club member and get the perks
I was impressed that we were seated so quickly .Our waitress came to the the table immediately and took our drink order. She made us aware of the "King of the
Hill" offer and we signed up when she came back with our drink order. Our food order was promptly served and was delicious. Everyone we encountered was very pleasant. We will be coming back, for sure!
The food was excellent as was the service. The acoustics are such that having a conversation can be difficult. Other than the noise level, we have no complaints. We will definitely go back.
They didn’t bring out my husbands soup, but charged us.
I asked for a cheese steak roll to be wrapped up and they thru it away. Though we did wait for them to make another 1! It’s a group effort there and didn’t impress me
Love What IHB does! Not only are the creations always great they change to keep it interesting.
Stopped for an impromptu visit. Nice selection of foods, nice variety of beers. Overall enjoyed our visit.
As usual, the food was delicious and the service was excellent! One of my favorite restaurants.
We weren’t greeted for at least 5 minutes once we were seated. Once we ordered, some meals didn’t come out with the others. We couldn’t even find our waiter. I’m not sure I’d ever return here with my family.
We had all appetizers they were tremendous the waitress was awesome knew all about her beers gave us some taste testing and we really enjoyed everything!
