Iron Hill Brewery - Wilmington Ratings and Reviews
This was my first time ever at any Iron Hill. Everything from the drinks to the food and the view were amazing. As food was being brought to different tables, you couldn’t help but look at what was being served. The presentation of meals were also very nice.
Busy Saturday night, our waiter on top of and attentive to us and his other tables. To food, gumbo soup was good, oysters were nice briney and cold, seared tuna entrée was excellent with the argula salad and pickles assortment, flank steak was medium rare to order, smoked mac and cheese very nice, onions and red/green peppers assortment could have been carmelized more. Overall, a nice night out and no reason not to return
Our server, Elizabeth, was fantastic. She hadn't served us in a while, yet she remembered us and pretty much how we ordered things. She made sure our salads were perfect, just the way we like them, and they were delicious. I can't say enough about Iron Hill and their servers. They are the best! Friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and perfect timing. No matter what arises, Management will solve any problem in a caring manner. Also, portions are generous. You won't go away hungry!
We had a party of seven and were seated upstairs. The place was PACKED! Service was wonderful. Most of the foods was good! Tried the fish taco appetizers - just meh - won't have them again. And, the brussel sprouts - although tasty - were just a bit too greasy for our liking.
Overall, we love Iron Hill and dine there often!
As always, visit to Iron Hill was pleasant. We had a reservation, which was a great idea since the restaurant was crowded. They were able to accommodate our request, even with just a short notice. Food quality was excellent and the place was hopping. Just wish the noise level was a little less as it was hard to hear our conversation even though we were seated in a booth. But we will definitely be back.
Other than having to wait for a table when there were empty ones available, the place was pretty nice. I had the sauerbraten with spaetzli, which was very good. My wife had some shrimp dish, which was good but a bit too spicy. Beer and wine selection was very good, and the prices are reasonable. Very convenient to the movie theater and some shops.
There was a table of eight children under ten two tables behind us in the upper bar area. Their parents sat at a separate table. The kids were continually screaming like they were on a playground. We asked our server if they could be asked to at least stop screaming and were told that they were not allowed to say anything to the parents. Granted we were in the bar area so that we could watch a football game and noise is to be expected but not children screaming throughout our hourlong stay. When we approached the mother she told us maybe we should go eat at a library. We really like dinner at Iron Hill but probably won’t return till the bitter taste from last nights experience has faded away
We had a party of 11 and our table was ready when we arrived 10 minutes prior to our reservation. We were seated promptly and the server didn't miss a beat. The service was fast and accurate. The food overall was good, although most of us stated that there could have been more seasoning. My son's baked chicken was bland as was the fried calamari, and seafood bisque. We would have rather waited a few more minutes for food to come out seasoned properly. Overall it was a good experience for a birthday dinner and we were in and out in 90 minutes.
I have been to the Iron Hill in Wilmington many times. Also a pleasurable experience.
Once again, everything was lovely except my date mentioned that his hamburger was
kind of boring ... I believe he said , "well, it's a burger ... maybe I should have asked
for jalapeños". That, of course, is individual taste. My BBQ beef sandwich was delicious.
Service, as usual, was excellent!
We reserved through opentable and it was good we did. The wait seemed to be about 45 minutes and we were hungry. The waiter was great with my gluten intolerance and came back to the table to ask if he could give me vegetables with our guacamole as I could not have the chips. He was extremely helpful and I felt safe eating my delicious food.
