Iron Hill Brewery - Wilmington Ratings and Reviews
Beer brewed on site, creative cocktails, great appetizers. Soups and entrees were excellent. Iron Hill has upped their game in the kitchen in the past few years, used to be good beer and typical bar food but their food menu now matches their craft beers in quality
Our server, Ian, was phenomenal! His attention to detail and our happiness was over the top! Iron Hill's service is the best and most consistent anywhere, even if you go to a high-priced restaurant! And our meals were delicious! Their chicken breast sandwich was perfectly done, with plenty of food to eat. For a small upcharge, you can get a generous plate of sweet potato fries. Yum! Their chopped salad is also generous and tasty. You won't go away hungry!!
Our food was great - I got a burger, which is always good at Iron Hill. We were a large group and we were seated in the upper level near the bar and there was a private party. There was a lot of noise, making it difficult to hear each other. Our server was nice but only checked on us once, didn't clear our plates as we finished, and did not attempt to upsell by offering us dessert, which we likely would have ordered.
Birthday dinner. The appetizers - calimari, nachos and a Thai dish were quite good. The two ribeye and the flatiron steak meals were well prepared and tasty although the flat iron steak was just a tad over seasoned. Two of the three fish and chips were reported as good, one the fish was dry and tough. Service was good considering we were a large group during peak dinner on a weekend. Our server did a fine job handing a special request on one of the steak dishes. The apples in the apple crisp were tough. You could cut them with a spoon but you had to work at it. Try the lemon pie, it is very good. Excellent beer selection.
My 1st time visiting Iron Hill Brewery. It was a very great experience, food was great, service was perfect, the waitress was very helpful and attentive. I will definitely visit again. A lil bit noisy at the beginning but place was very busy at that time. Not a complaint just show me that the ambient was full of good and enjoyable vibe
We had a great time. We were on a tight schedule having tickets to a play at a near-by theatre. We made our server aware of our schedule and she made sure we could enjoy our meal and not be rushed. We had plenty of time to get to our show.
As always, the staff at Iron Hill out-did themselves. Iron Hill is one of our favorite restaurants‼️
We were seated in the bar area, so a louder than usual atmosphere was expected. The food was about the same as past visits. I had fish and chips for the first time there. I felt the fish was more batter, less fish. The fries were overcooked.
Service was a little slow. Possibly since the waiter was busy with other tables. The Octoberfest beer was very good and definitely worth returning for. As for dining there with a larger party, probably not gonna happen.
Reservations for 7p. We arrived early. They sat us within five minutes. Awesome! My wife (not much of a beer drinker) sampled four and LOVED the Pig Iron Porter! Our server was friendly and attentive. Our food was PERFECT! As we were leaving I spoke to a manager to complement on the food, beer, and service. Excellent spot and professiona, friendly team! We will return.
There's nothing fancy or gourmet about this place but their food is reliably good. I was pleasantly surprised that my healthy pick - the teriyaki chicken - was so delicious. My wife had a cheeseburger that she swears is one of the best she's ever had (lots and lots of gooey cheese!). And the chicken fried chicken my nephew had was awesome. They each had a beer that they thoroughly enjoyed. This restaurant is always a solid pick.
We had a large group of Moving for Melanoma of DE 5k participants (adults, teens, and one toddler) and chose to have lunch at Iron Hill because they agreed to donate 20% of the proceeds to Moving for Melanoma. They had no problem seating multiple large groups pretty quickly, food came out promptly and was delicious. The menu had something for everyone. I hope they continue to participate in M4M, we'll be back year after year for sure!
