Iron Hill Brewery - West Chester Ratings and Reviews
A great place!!! We visited the Iron Hill in Lancaster, and I think I like the vibe here better. Had the cajun shrimp and was surprised how good they were. I like it spicy and they were great. Shared the hummus plate, did not want to.... it is so good I would drive an hour to get it!!!! Rest of our party had burgers, pizza, salad, fish and chips, and filet mignon. Everyone raved about how good their food was. Lastly but not the least. The beer was incredible!!! I had a Russian Imperial Stout that was incredible. We all agree we would come back again.....soon!!! Great job Iron Hill Brewery!!!!
We always have a great meal here. Lots of menu variety, handcrafted beer, and moderate prices in an upscale casual setting. Only downside, they keep changing up their delicious soup options. We loved the tomato bisque and mushroom soup, but they are no longer available.
Iron Hill consistently has very good food and service. We had the pulled pork sandwich and it was very good. You could choose your sauce between a mustard and a bbq sauce. The only thing I would say is that I like the sauce mixed in. I always get the homemade root beer which is good. There is always an energetic crowd at Iron Hill so be prepared for it to be noisy. I recommend Iron Hill as a good spot for lunch or dinner.
We're regulars and have come here the night before Thanksgiving for dinner with a large group the last few years. Have always been able to accommodate our group and seat us promptly. Consistently good food and service. Great variety on the menu, from small plates to pizza to salads to entrees. Something for everyone including those with dietary restrictions and great options for kids. Interesting seasonal items and specials. Great beer selection. Never disappoints.
Reception staff personable and accommodating.
My dinner was good.
It was a little noisy due to people having a relaxed, good time.
Plenty of space.
Easy entry and exit; close to city facilities, ie., business, art/cultural, entertainment, parking, etc.
My dinner plate was delivered to my table in a reasonable time considering crowd
between 5 and 7:00, Saturday.
Waitress was personable, but I felt she was hurried and distracted by other tables in waiting.
Iron Hill Brewery has been an institution in West Chester known for it's incredible beers and a great gathering place. We visited because they advertised that they would donate 20% of our food purchase to the West Chester Food Pantry. We like to support these types of programs. The special beer, Heavenly Indulgence was amazing. The food , on the other hand, was not up to previous standards. None of us enjoyed our food as much as we have in the past. It was just OK, and that has not been our experience with this establishment.
Enjoyed my meal however they were out of Pinot Noir.
The main courses on my meal which consisted of Kielbasa bratwurst and pork I was told they were out of the pork I substituted for a piece of chicken when it came there was no kielbasa and there was pork.
They said they made a mistake Willy told me there was no pork they should’ve said there was no Kielbasa.
The entrée was very good and they did comp my meal. I appreciate it and I would return.
Even though Open Table was not working properly when we arrived, the hostess sat us immediately. Other people without reservations had an hour wait. I did have the email confirm on my phone, despite the Open Table app not working on a busy Saturday night. So the staff knew I had a reservation.
The beer and food were good, the wait staff very good and the atmosphere fun. We'll be back.
Noisy in Siberia--Got a table in the very back that was still noisy. Our waiter was new and did not put in the order for our meals to arrive together. The kids got theirs early and the adults waited for another 15 minutes before our food arrived. He did this for our convenience without asking us. Very weird. Much less fun than usual.
