As a King of the Hill member since the early days
- We went to IHB for mother's day and the wings n lettuce wraps were awesome!
Great service and it wasn't very crowded either.
We usually go to another location that is a little further than this and figured let’s save some time. Well, they don’t prepare or give food in the same manner. We ordered two plates that we frequently get at the other location and these plates at Voorhees were significantly smaller! I Don’t know if they cut their portions on holidays but it was Mother’s Day. Regardless, it’s ridiculous if they do.
Mothers Day dinner. Busy place, very loud noise level. My hot tea came decaf, which I had not asked for but drank anyway. My Onion soup bowl was scalding but the soup was only warm. Main course looked like it was literally thrown on the plate. Over cooked spätzle, hard to even bite into. Maybe 6 green beans on the plate, only warm. :an friend pork was tough and the mushroom gravy looked like brown chutney or under thawed frozen gravy. Very unappealing in look. My companion had a medium sirloin, she said it was warm not hot, spinach the same just warm. Splurged on dessert...the cheese cake was like pudding and very lemony, and the apple cobbler was warm, not too sweet but no vanilla flavor in the ice cream. Disappointing.
Went on Mothers Day. They were busy but service was great. Everyone enjoyed their food and they even had choices for the vegan and vegetarians in our group. We would go back.
We took the time to make a reservation but they didn’t honor it. We had to wait 20 minutes for a table Watched three families sit down before us and then after we were seated they asked if we could change tables - no. The food came out cold and my risotto was gummy and the lobster was rubbery and not edible. My husband medium burger was black on the outside and no manager came by to see if everything was good! Won’t be back !
Went to dinner with the family for Mother’s Day. Food was delicious. Service was excellent and very accommodating. Will be going back soon.
Always enjoy the food and beer here. Service is attentive but not overbearing. You don’t feel rushed. Can get noisy, but it’s a brew pub not a romantic getaway.
Relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, medium level of volume which was nice. It's nice not to here someone else conversation. Food was good and yes I would recommend others to experience it. Will return very soon. Thank you
We have been several times & are members of the King of the Hill program. Usually, the service is the best we've had at any restaurant.
Saturday night it was unbelievably bad. 15 min before a waiter came, another 15 before my husband's beer came & yet another 10 before 4 sodas came. The appetizers were there before the drinks. I had to mention it to 3 people as they passed by before we got them.
No one asked if we needed refills, 1 hour into us being there & the food came but no refills. Our meals were done before the refills & 2nd order of beer came & the Beer was sent to the wrong table.
We asked for a box that didn't come until we asked again.
I know it was busy - however, the service we had is NOT because of it being busy. I will chalk it up to an off night & we will return, but I hope we won't get the same experience next time.
Waitress was busy but never made us feel like she had too much going on. Her recommendations were spot on and dinner was delicious. I had a poor meal the last time I went the pork was totally overcooked and dried out and the waitstaff served the biggest steak to the 9 year old while the larger male at the table was served the smallest, so I went with hesitancy. Not this time, so I will go back.
Food great, service terrible.. had reservation, hostess was on phone, ignored us.. waitress maybe was new, lipstick on coffee cup manager said “oh well, it happens”.
Mother’s Day dinner
It was very busy, but still got excellent service. The best part about the food was the Thai chicken lettuce wraps. Absolutely amazing.
The food and service were both excellent. There were 9 of us, and a few didn't pay attention to the waitress when she explained that the only beer served is what they brew themselves. She showed no signs of frustration when folks asked for bottled beer brands, which showed great restraint. She was excellent, the food came out quickly and as ordered - would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Great food and service! Fun place to go with friends or significant other. Great ambiance inside or out.
We all ordered Burgers. They were excellent. As was the flatbread and calamari appetizers. Our only complaint was the metal baskets instead of dinner plates. None of us liked them and decided we would request plates on our next visit
I love it there, the food is great. The best beer anywhere and the staff is always friendly and helpful
Mattie our waitress was outstanding. She knows the definition of caring for her clients. Keep up the good work Mattie.
To say I was disappointed is putting it mildly. The best part of our dinner was the Brussels sprouts appetizer. I had to ask a different server for our soup and salad bc ours had not brought it. The manager ended up bringing it over. The Ribeye was not cooked well. It didn’t have a sear and had no flavor. We wrapped all 3 of our ribeye’s to take home for our dog. The server told us they are usually grilled and better and to come back and try again. I politely told her that we would definitely not be coming back. Save your money folks. I make better ribeye’s in my own oven.
Enjoyed Voorhees location so much better than Maple Shade location
Food was good had special swordfish and crab cakes . Both good served hot. Didn’t realize haricose verts were puréed over the fish but tasted ok. Service was Just ok. Waited 20 minutes longer than our reservation to a table that was vacant when I arrived. Waitress Friendly but not responsive drops check with plates on table .
Awesome food and service. Gumbo and steak tacos were outstanding. Beer selection of course is amazing.
brought wrong food to our table and several tables around us
Wonderful! Can’t wait to come back.
Food was fabulous and our server could not have been better😊
Tonight’s dinner was mediocre at best, the service was just ok. The wings were good, my wife’s pizza was good, my son’s kid menu burger was fair. I had the pan seared chicken($21). It was bland and over cooked, the “whipped” mashed potatoes were gross, as if it sat in the well all night. It was dry and tasteless. The asparagus also lacked seasoning, I find it annoying and pretentious not to have salt and pepper on the table. Having to ask for salt and pepper seems to be bothersome and an inconvenience for the server. This concept does well with appetizers and sandwiches but fail to properly execute dinner entrees. I’ve had the pork schnitzel and spaetzel before and that too was poorly executed. As a brewery with “bar food” it works, as a restaurant it needs a lot more improving.
My filet mignon was disgusting. There was no seasoning on any of the food on my plate. Will never go back. Expensive dinner to feed my dog.
Just love the king of the hill beer mugs. Ambiance is great. Familiar servers. Lots of windows
Loved the food and Jake the server was awesome and knowledgeable!
Good food, convenient, suitable for discussion.
My husband and I love Iron Hill, but the service was a little slow. However, the food was correct, and came out hot. I'm sure that the service was a little slow because it was a Saturday night and crowded.
Enjoyed lovely meal in outside seating with entire family. Very kid friendly but with food and drinks that adults like :)
The service was poorly timed. Like when the server is ready to take your order but you don't order quick enough and they offer to come back but you just have to interrupt them to get someone to start. Like when you take your first bite and they ask you how it is but won't move on until you answer with food in your mouth...then the sauce is so spicy but the slow burn hits you after they leave and you can't eat your food and the server is nowhere to be found to help you out. Then they bring the salad dressing that should've been on the salad and stand there and watch you try it before they will leave because you may not know the difference between the Thai steak sauce that burned your mouth and the sesame dressing...it was a surreal experience. If my mother wasn't at the table, we would have left. We love the one in Newark, DE, though...we've had bad service at Echelon twice.
Iron hill was hosting a game of thrones themed beer and food menu! Their beers are always great and the flights allow you to try different things! We got the pretzel appetizer and for our entrees we got the crab cakes and the shrimp and scallops. There were no fillers in the crab cakes and they were cooked perfectly! The cream sauce for the scallops and shrimp was delicious! It’s always busy at iron hill so definitely make a reservation. Overall great experience.
As always, good food and good beer, couple with good service! And, during the NCAA Tournament made it even more fun! A great meal and nice evening!
I appreciate the size of the restaurant, but the "feel" was very different between the bar and the dining room - the bar is far better. I wish they had more vegetarian options - there are only a few, though they are tasty. Love the rotating beer lists.
Food was fabulous!!! Definitely recommend! Take your whole family! Service equally as good! Can’t say enough.
Wait staff was not very attentive, at least the one that served us.
I was disappointed that there was nothing done for my daughter-in-law‘s birthday . When I made the reservation I checked the box for her birthday so I thought that they might sing to her or give her a dessert or something . It seems even though I checked the box for birthday, the waitress had no clue we were there for a special occasion. I followed the waitress as I wanted it to be a surprise to ask her and she said ‘no that Iron Hill does nothing for birthdays’. I requested a candle on her dessert so that’s what we got. Sadly if I hadn’t mentioned it to the waitress she might not of even had a candle.
It was misleading to have me check the occasion when I made the reservation if you do nothing with that information. I have never been in a restaurant that didn’t acknowledge an occasion in some special way. If it hadn’t been her birthday we would not have been there that day
