Iron Hill Brewery - Phoenixville Ratings and Reviews
Had a very nice dinner at Iron Hill - Food was great! Beer was too! We were celebrating my daughter's 30th bday. I requested on the reservation that a cake be brought out with a candle at dessert. The managers were awesome and called to let me know they did not have cakes but could put a candle in a dessert for her. I was impressed that they took the time to let me know. Unfortunately, our waitress "forgot" even though I mentioned when we ordered dessert that it was her birthday. I was a bit disappointed. This would not keep me from going back as everything else was really good.
We did nye dinner at iron hill. I asked for a bigger booth for the 4 of us and was told no. Ok- it was busy. I looked at the beer list on the website and once again it wasn’t accurate. Why can small brew pubs keep their beer lists updated and iron hill can’t? My hubby really liked the beef stroganoff which was removed from the menu. Not that impressed with iron hill lately.
Went to Iron Hill to celebrate New Year's Eve. Had great beers, coal fired pizzas and very good waitress. Friends from Ohio were very impressed with hip atmosphere, craft beer selection and large menu. They want to return when back in town this summer. Iron Hill never disappoints!
Server was very attentive and friendly. Food was very good, but pricey. Chicken fried Chicken was not worth $17. (So okay, we're spoiled by Cracker Barrel's Chicken FC with 3 sides and bisquits. Also, they need to seat 4 people in their larger booths. At the time we arrived, there were plenty open.
The only major drawback we had to our dinner was the initial service. We had a reservation and were seated right away. However, we sat at our table for a good 20 minutes and no wait staff approached us. We finally flagged down the hostess and ask for someone to bring us water and take our drink order. Our only other observation was the soup, while very good, it was a rather small serving for the $$. Other than that, everything else was fine.
We love Iron Hill Brewery. The food is fantastic! This time I had the Southwest Grilled Chicken Salad, again. Delicious! My sons love their cheeseburgers. My father-in-law is always suggesting we go to Iron Hill.
The Ore House IPA was quite good, too.
Unfortunately, the service was not optimal this time, otherwise I would give a five-star rating. We had to wait quite some time for water refills, for example. Usually the service is great, though.
Iron Hill was excellent. We go often and food is consitently great. Service was great and reservation handled promptly and everyone very engaging to deal with. Cheesesteak eggrolls are the best in the area. Drinks and beers perfect! Bit noisy had lots of large tables and acoustics not the best. Still an enjoyable night.
Big Bold Bleu Burger is fabulous! Cooked to perfection and the side salad made me feel healthy. We enjoy going with our extended family which includes two children because the casual atmosphere. Pitcher of pumpkin ale disappeared quickly...must have been tasty. All in all a great place to dine.
The menu has gone through another revision. I ordered the new prime rib sandwich and enjoyed it.
The prices have been revised as well. While we love IH, the quality of food just doesn’t support the new prices.
We’ll dine here but only for special occasions now, which makes me sad.
We dine at Iron Hill regularly. There food is consistently good. We don't love their beer; there are other breweries close by with much better beer. The acoustics in the restaurant are horrible and this visit was especially bad as there were three large groups seated in the dining room. We could not even hear each other at our table of four. BEWARE! We ended our meal quickly and came home for dessert and coffee.
We made a reservation for a group of 14 and were extremely pleased with the way our large group was accommodated. We requested and received separate checks, our waitress was highly effective and very friendly, and the food was served in a timely manner. Beer selection was great and the food was delicious!
Our reservation didn’t save us from waiting 15-20 minutes for our table. We had been to Iron Hill once before at another location and had trouble deciding what we wanted, it all sounded good, this visit was the opposite. My appetizer, a seafood soup was, if I am generous, lukewarm. It tasted like they had taken it out as a clump from the freezer and warmed it up in the microwave. My main course, a pizza, was also tepid in temperature. The positive of our visit was Emma, our waitress, who was attentive and energetic.
I was attending training nearby and happened upon this gem with the help of OpenTable app. There is only street parking available, so it took a little more time than I'd expected only because I was unfamiliar with the area. I started off with the porter, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I asked the server about the Jaegerschnitzel, which she enthusiastically recommended. It did not disappoint! I even ate the green beans!
We made reservations for seven but additional people wanted to join us...I called an hour before our reservation and they accommodated us, no problem. Our server, Nicolette, did an awesome job and the rest of the staff jumped in to bring anything else we requested. Even with such a large party, Nicolette was happy to keep track of everyone's orders and split our bill into three separate checks. It was a fun night with great food and wonderful service. Highly recommend it!
