Iron Hill Brewery - Lancaster Ratings and Reviews
Our family from NE enjoyed a wonderful meal at the conclusion of their visit to Lancaster to celebrate a belated Christmas. Our waitress was terrific, kids were starving so she had their orders brought out very quickly, and kept checking back with us to check on drinks and if the preparation of our dinner selections met expectation. We ordered grill salmon, quinoa salad, wings, pork snitzel, kids ordered pepperoni pizza and caesar with grilled chicken. All selections were delicious.
All in our family enjoy the festive ambiance, a bit noisy on Sunday, early evening, it was a good thing I had made a reservation the night before with Open Table. There were multiple groups in town for an volley ball tournament, about 15-20 high school girls along with their parents, the group came in together shortly after we were seated. They were very close to our booth, but happy loud, difficult for us to hear across table conversation.
After arriving for our reservation for a family birthday dinner, we were seated promptly and the waiter greeted us. The service was slow, and the restaurant was very noisy. The food was very overpriced, and I had the worst turkey burger I have ever eaten. The salad that went with the meal was just as bad as the burger. The next morning myself and two other members of my family had queasy stomachs. I will not go there again.
Almost everything we ordered was great! I don't recommend the seafood bisque. It had some seafood in it, but the soup was overly thick, like soft custard rather than soup. The bread is amazing and the sweet potato fries are incredible!! (Hand cut and rustic, not the least bit soggy like they can be in other places). Service was extremely slow, we waited for a longer time than usual for everything.
Had the chicken pot pie. Simply delicious and hit the spot on a cold evening. Love the beer selections as well. Great restaurant for dining out with friends or just an evening for two. Highly recommend. Server was very knowledgeable on the entire selection of beers. We will be back.
As an early NYE dinner, my husband, mother, and I enjoyed it all: a sunny, cozy, and quiet booth on a frigid day, all the food from appetizer to dessert was delicious, and even the beer and coffee were noticeably excellent. The server was friendly but not intrusive. We will return!
This was the first time for us at this restaurant, and we will definitely be back. Our server was fantastic--she was very attentive without being obtrusive to our conversation. Also, we had a person in our party with celiac disease, and her special dietary needs were met without a problem. We all enjoyed the meals that we ordered and found the food to be very good.
I went with my 13-year old daughter and we had an enjoyable time. Our server Ari was exceptional and we tipped her extra because of that and told her she made our experience great! Where we were sitting was a little bit chilly—-mainly because it’s so cold outside this week. I think normally I would not have noticed. Food was xtra yummy.
The food, ice cream, and house-made brews are excellent.
Ambiance was downrated b/c despite double entrance doors, there was a strong, cold draft (not the beverage!) in the dining room where we ate. People seated around us wore their coats throughout the meal.
We had not been to an Iron Hill Brewery for over 10 years. This was our first time in Lancaster and it did not disappoint. Service was fast and friendly and the food and drinks were well worth the price. We enjoyed it so much that we went back the next night.
This was our first time to Iron Hill. We were a group of 7 and had reservations for 7:15pm. We arrived at 7pm and were told that our table was not yet ready. It was busy, and we were finally seated at 7:20pm. Drinks were good. Our food came out in a timely manner. Apps were good, pizzas were so-so(, not a fan of soft crust ), the schnitzel was really good, but the spaetzle was bland. The Duck breast was overcooked, and the skirt steak was chewy. We ordered desserts too and the chocolate stout ice cream was really good. Everything else was just meh. the waiter forgot our coffees and we had to remind him after we got our desserts. Overall, it was an ok experience. Don't know if I'll be in a hurry to visit them again.
