Iron Hill Brewery - Lancaster Ratings and Reviews
We had a great time. My wife and I shared a seasonal beer sampler and each had a soup, and entree. The service was great! It was a cold night and we sat too close to the door so we were hit with a cold breeze on and off but other than that we had a nice experience. Definitely going back!
We went as a double date on Valentines Day. I thought it would be very loud as previous times. I also thought there would be lines of people waiting. To my surprise the waiting area was clear, the noise level was tolerable, and we had a great time. As always, the food was great. The waiter was helpful and attentive. We will definitely return.
I took my family out for a special occasion. Loved the online reservation tool and we were seated promptly upon arrival. Service was terrific, Jill did a great job! She knew her beer well enough to answer our questions. Food was great, only remark was the flank steak was less than expected. Only complaint I had with the evening was that our table was really small, it was a table designed for 6 and we had 8, so two seats on the end cramped things up quite a bit.
Iron Hill is a great restaurant. The waiter could have been more attentive, but they were packed so I'll let that slide. I had the French onion soup and fish N'chips, while sharing a platter of cheesesteak egg rolls and buffalo wings. It was all very tasty! On the more expensive side, so it's not an every night place but I would happily go again.
The food and service is consistently good at Iron Hill - Lancaster. My only feedback from dinner this past Wednesday evening was that where our table was located we could feel a gust of cold air from the outside every time the main door opened.
I suggest removing the table where we were located or put up a heavy curtain to that part of the restaurant to reduce exposure from the cold during this time of the year.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed a spontaneous dinner out this past Monday night. The service was top-notch and the food was scrumptious. We both had a variation of steak and were very pleased with our meals, sides, drinks, and atmosphere. We have gone there before and will keep going back!
Food is great and service is excellent as well. Had a ton of beers left over from a sour fest the day before. Had a great Oud Bruin. The server brought us over a few beer samples before we decided on that. I would definitely visit again if I was in the area.
Due to snow, had to cancel dinner(at another restaurant) to meet up with family members. Decided on Iron hill for rescheduled meeting at lunch because it was available for the timeslot we needed. Thanks to Open table, it was easy to book and add an additional member to the party. Loved the variety of menus (there was gluten free option and good kids menu). Service was attentive and good. Food came quickly. Had the salmon salad which was delicious and sizable. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Would come back again.
Nice selection of beers on tap..good value. Healthy menu selections. The morrocan salmon is great. Very fresh. The pan roasted chicken in its own pan juice is yummy also. I also recommend the fish and chips big portion of niclt
y fied fish. Its always crowded so make a reservation on weekends.
I enjoyed the Kulmbacher lager and 80 Shilling ale this trip! Excellent. The blackened scallops were prepared perfectly. As a group of 8 celebrating my daughters birthday, our server provided us with flawless service. Just a great nite. If you have never been there....you have to check it out-
This was my fourth trip back to Iron Hill, I usually visit when I'm in town for tournaments. It's a good atmosphere- had my friends with 4 kids there this time (ages 9-16) and they all enjoyed their food. I had the grilled ahi tuna salad and it was excellent. My friends had the Asian Salmon Wrap and the Mediterranean Wrap and both loved them. We'll be back again next time we're in town!
My family visited Lancaster for a volleyball tournament for my daughter. Trust me - Lancaster, PA in January is quiet - not a lot of dining options. Iron Hill was a notable exception. It was NFL Championship Sunday - we sat in the bar area and watched the games. Great camaraderie with the crowd - very vibrant and fun. Food was OK, home brewed beers were well above average, and the service was terrific on a busy night. Waitress was very accommodating - they ran out of the fish special that I wanted, but they still put something together. Very pleased overall. Would definitely go back.
Unfortunately, our anniversary falls in January when many things are closed for the winter seasons but Lancaster does have very nice dining places and this one has some great beer selections especially their own beers brewed right there in fact. We ordered the Schnitzel and Ahi Tuna which were excellent. Service was top notch too. If your visiting and need an option try this one...
We had friends as guests for the weekend and we knew that this would be a WINNER for them
The food was terrific, the waitress was efficient (could have had more personality), but it did not affect us or our experience. The atmosphere was lively, but not rowdy. They were a bit 'over busy' this night with larger parties, but it did not take away from our experience
Our guests were impressed and impressed that here in Lancaster we would have such a great restaurant with such a diverse menu as well as a GREAT Brewing selection
Thanks for being there; you are appreciated!

Kate, the waitress was very attentive to our needs. All dishes were excellent although the scallop dish was lukewarm but tasty nevertheless. The noise level was high as there were several large parties but the bass rhythm in the background was an unwelcome addition.
Easy access for the group or couple going to any F&M event, or just unwinding from and nice day in Lancaster. Great and varied food and drink selection. Our waitress was very friendly and made excellent suggestions concerning the foods and even asked what our wine or beer likes were. Definitely at place to return to again and again - our 6th visit and we live in Wayne, Pa.
Medium well does not mean cook the burger until it is as firm and black as a hockey puck. Terrible!! If it weren't for some of the good beer that I tasted, I wouldn't have given this place a three star rating. It would have been a two star rating. Other than the beer, the service was the only other bright spot.
Our trip to Iron Hill Brewery Lancaster exceeded all expectations. Our waiter was a gem and made great beer selections to compliment our dinner choices. He explained different brewing processes used between the beers and the differences. After bringing out samples he helped us narrow down what beers we would like based on our feedback.
For a Wednesday night I expected the brewery to be a little quieter and could have done without so much noise but it speaks volumes for a restaurant to be full during a week night. The noise level was a bit obnoxious but it did not take away from my overall experience.
What a great experience and a great wait staff, I will certainly return soon!
We love Ironhill Brewery!! Love the atmosphere! Food is great every time we go. Our waiter, Brandon, was awesome. Very attentive. Came at the just the right times. And our server had the most amazing attitude and smile! To top it off, our food was great! AND you have a great kids menu! We had an excellent dinner!
Always consistently good food. I usually take my son here for lunch when visiting him at F&M College. If you want to go here for dinner, definitely make a reservation, especially on weekends- it's very busy. The food is reasonable and very good. We especially like their mango iced teas as a beverage.
Our service was impeccable and the atmosphere and food were spectacular. I took my mom and daughter for a birthday dinner to Iron Hill. It was greatly enjoyed by all. From the ease of making reservations on-line to the timing of all courses, the experience was extremely enjoyable. I've never had a bad experience at Iron Hill in Lancaster.
I've been to this restaurant for several different occasions, including Valentine's dinner, family get togethers at both booths and high tops by the bar, work parties in both areas, birthday dinners, and just simply for a quick drink with friends. All experiences have been nothing but exceptional. Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication to excellence!! Way to go Lancaster Iron Hill Brewery!
Those of you who read my reviews (i.e. the Open Table review editor(s)) know there are few places for which I submit repeat reviews. This is for the simple reason that I enjoy eating at new (for me) dining establishments. I also like to travel. This is my third or fourth review for Iron Hill; and it is because I like the place for a variety of reasons and occasions. Anyway, about the food: salmon wrap-not my favorite, fries and slaw were perfect though. My wife, ever the traditionalist, had the meatloaf, Yukon gold smashed potatoes, peas carrots, etc and was in Lancaster County heaven. "Harmony" did a great job on the service end of things, even chasing us down in the parking lot to reunite the loaf and smashed with its rightful owner!
My wife and I tend to go to the Iron Hill Brewery fairly consistently whenever we are in town. The menu has a lot of options and the specials are typically very good and reasonably priced. Service is consistently good - which makes for a nice dining experience.
