Would have rated food higher if hot entree sides of green beans and noodles had not arrived to table cold.
One of our favorites. Always good food and beer. Noticing they are trying to save some money by not providing butter with the bread that comes with the soup; butter can be ordered though.
Disappointed. I really wanted to like this place. Waited 20 minutes for our first beer because the keg blew and the waiter doesn’t offer a comp? Enjoyed the mesclun salad but the Jaeger schnitzel was meh with small portions of meh green beans w/no seasoning and spaetzel that the chef really needs to work on. A little butter or SOME seasoning would have been nice. I’m not a big eater and usually take half my dinner home but this serving was paltry w/no leftovers. Could you at least offer bread with the salad? Waste of $80. When you ask “how is everything” and I say “it’s okay” that shouldn’t be acceptable. You should at least strive for “it’s good”.
The food was very good, the service good, but the noise level was such that it took a great deal away from the experience. It was my husband's birthday, but we had a hard time being able to converse with our family because of the noise.
Always great food and service!!
Overall good experience although I was expecting more variety on the menu. Will try again.
As before, the server wasn’t quite as attentive as she could have been. Our glasses sat empty for a while while we were eating. The food was very good. The room we were seated in was rather noisy.
We like eating at Iron Hill but you must be able to put up with a lot of noise.
Tables are close together and it a lot of families are there with various aged
small children who don't always sit quietly and become restless.
The food is usually good.
We sat in the room off the kitchen. It seems like the room needs a makeover. The booth was beat up. The paint looked worn and tired. The beer, food and service were (as usual) very good!
Where to start? We arrived on time for our 5:30 reservation. A table had to be prepared. When shown to the table, the table top was still wet as were the seats. I asked not to sit on a wet seat. We were taken to another booth. The waitress appeared promptly and distributed menues. A question was asked about gluten free items; she responded the chef would be made aware of that menu choice and that there were only gluten sensitive menu choices, not necessarily gluten-free. We asked for THE gluten sensitive menu which she brought after more than several minutes. We gave drink orders...slow delivery. Took menu choices and was gone. First food - side salads - were delivered quite promptly by someone other than the waitress; main dishes also timely and by a different person. One quick "check..all fine" by waitress shortly after food delivery, then nothing for more than 25 minutes. We had to ask a staffer to direct our waitress to return for dessert choices. The noise level is beyond football stadium loud. Conversation - forget. Screaming children, loud - dirty clothes - adults, crude behavior. Host and hostesses in jeans...definitely anything goes environment.
We were in town for a lacrosse tournament at F&M. I booked a reservation online for a few families. The wait staff was delightful! The food was good. Overall, great experience and we will return next time we are in town.
Great service and food. Enjoy all the different beers too. Quality and service is consistent.
Our food was great! The kids portions were very uneven unfortunately. My daughter received a large bowl of chicken pot pie and my son ordered the flatbread which was very small. We were told the computers were down when we arrived and then told that they had come back. The service was still unfortunately slow. Overall it was a good experience and we would probably return.
Great food and service!
Very busy, which is understandable in a Friday night, but service was slow. Food was not hot but it did taste good. Been here many times but this time it was not up to the price or standards bee have had before.
All ways a good spot to go to. Overall great quality.
Great food, always.
Sister and I needed dinner before the show at the Fulton. Neither of us can walk too far or do steps, so Iron Hill is almost perfect. ( small problem for leg in cast)
We enjoy our local Iron Hill. It's a place we visit when we want a relaxed upscale experience. The food is reliably good. We highly reccomended the Kennet Square Mushroom bisque. It's unique and delicious. The diners run the gamut from families with kids to seniors. It's a place for everyone.
We took my sister here for dinner for her bachelorette party. Food was delicious! Service was great! We will definitely return! :)
Always, simply always great food and service.
This was our first time at the Iron Hill brewery. It was a good time! A friendly waitress, great food and a beautiful evening for the outdoor seating area made for the perfect anniversary celebration.
The beer was great, the food was amazing and was brought to us fast, and the service was excellent. The only negative was that we had a tiny 2 person table next to a wall/pillar and felt jammed next to the wall. Otherwise it was a great experience.
Sat outside on a beautiful day! Great lunch
good food in a simple manner, Served in a room that had large parties and made it difficult to get around.
My spouse and I have eaten at various Iron Hill Brewery locations over the years and have always been very pleased with the service, the wonderful array of beers, and the delicious food. However, this recent visit (at the Lancaster location) was a bit disappointing. We suggest Iron Hill to friends and the food and the beverages were excellent, but the service was very lacking. Everything started off well enough, but when a manager helped deliver some of the food, my one friend ask for another beer (the light lager). We waited and waited not beer. Finally, our waiter showed up and ask if we needed anything? Again, my friend ask for a refill on his beer. Again we waited and waited, but no beer. And no waiter in sight either. So I asked the bar tender for the beer for my friend. Next time our waiter came past our table he asked if everything was okay? Without every missing a beat and without ever saying a word about the beer we had requested several times. My spouse and I will likely return to Iron Hill but I am not sure if my friends ever will.
Great food and service as always!
Iron Hill Brewery never disappoints. Have never had a bad meal in all the years they have been in Lancaster.
Great food, fast service. Consistent quality!
Ribs were good, husband had flatbread special-good. One of our favorites on a Sunday night.
The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. This was my first visit and the experience was better than anticipated
Great food. Good service and good beers.
Good waiter. God beer. Good sandwich. Terrible, soggy, flaccid, pale fries. Just ok visit.
It was very accommodating for my moms milk allergy
The best meal and service we've had in a long time!!! We loved it and will definitely be returning again soon.
It seemed that the server had too many customers and/or tables. We waited longer than expected just for her to come to the table, for our water, and she didn’t check on our food until we were almost finished.
Always dinner before the symphony!
All was well
Excellent dining experience at Iron Hill Brewery. Visiting family in the area - we are from Maryland. Only wish this restaurant was closer to home. Everything we ordered was phenomenal - Philly cheesesteak eggrolls, french onion soup, seafood gumbo, calamari - delicious. Everyone's burgers were perfectly prepared and very tasty. The Southwest salad was loaded with delicious, fresh ingredients. The crab cakes were tasty but not as good as Maryland crab cakes :)! Our server Branden was excellent - made good recommendations, and anticipated all of our needs! Wonderful meal! Highly recommend! We'll definitely be back!
The food I had was disappointing. The onion soup consisted mostly of melted cheese and soggy bread and very little of the delicious broth usually provided. It also wasn't served in a crock as it usually was. The main course was Jaeger Schnitzel which was very disappointing. The pork was sliced very thin, breaded and then fried. It was overcooked, tasteless and barely edible. My spouse had the lettuce wraps and one of the power bowls. Both were very good. They did comp my entrée. We usually are very pleased with their food, but we apparently hit a few entrees that weren't up to their usual high standards.
