Good food and beer....
Service could have been better
I enjoyed my visit with my family...Parking was great and near by...The service was outstanding and beyond friendly...The atmosphere played a large roll it was very pleasant and comfortable...The appetizers were delicious and blended well with our cocktails...It prepared us for our 7 fabulous meals...We had everything from Octopus too ribs amazing...I will never forget the wonderful time that my beautiful family and I shared at The Iron Hill Brewery in Chestnut Hill...Thanks So Much🌹
By the way we will be back...Soon...
Atmosphere was great. Food wasn’t so good this time. Seemed like the chef/cook rushed. Crab cakes were heavily breaded and dry. Mashed potatoes and broccoli were very dry. Bacon barely cooked around scallops. Couldn’t eat my dinner
Staff seemed disorganized at check-in. Spenser was absolutely an awesome server!
The Truffle Shuffle Burger was to die for. Please add to regular menu!
The Rosemary's Bacon burger was great, service was excellent, beers cold, and the booth was a great way to keep little kids confined.
It was our Anniversary and I had made reservations specifying so. I felt it should have been acknowledged. After our entrees arrived, I felt our waitress should have come back to the table to see if we were okay. My meal was tasteless and there were no salt on the table to season with. My husband had fries with his meal and no ketchup before hand. Just wasn’t a pleasant experience.
Food was pretty bland, especially my vegetables!!
The food was amazing, my fiancé loves this place. The beer flights were awesome. I’m not a beer drinker so it was just enough to taste the different flavors. Also only down was the portions given for the kids fries. Please include a larger portion
Got seated promptly, good. Our server, Matt, was slow, uninformed on product. When food finally arrived the order was wrong. Food was burnt or under cooked. To top it all off, he basically through the bill on the table. I left a 15% tip but upon reflection I wish I would have asked to speak with manager. I work in a service trade and if I don't do my job well I get let go. We have been to Iron Hill many times in the past. Definitely won't be back any time soon.
We really enjoy this restaurant and go often. Lately the changes they made even in serving plates are not
great and we wish having plates rather than metal rimmed dishes serving entrees such as Hamburgers. Its what we expect to see at Diners and not here.
Service was very good. The waitress was very friendly and helpful in choosing food and beverages. The food was excellent
This was the most disappointing visit we've ever had to Iron Hill (any location). I'm not sure what happened here, but the upkeep on the Chestnut Hill location has gone downhill significantly. The floors were dirty, everything was dingy, and the food was meh at best. I got the Jaeger Schnitzel, which tasted entirely like stale grease (unseasoned at that). My husband said that his fish 'n chips was crispy, but also had no seasoning (we had to ask for salt & pepper). As a topper, we were upsold on the "membership"without being told that there was a charge, so had to have that taken off the bill at the end. It was a disappointing Mother's Day dinner to say the least.
Excellent service and food!
Overall, a good experience. We had brunch. The food was lukewarm when it arrived however.
And, one complaint. I ordered two sides of bacon. We each got two thin strips of bacon for each servings.
In 50 years of having breakfast and brunch at probably hundreds of restaurants, I've never received only two strips of bacon for a serving. I said to myself "this is rather ridiculous." Not a good impression.
We really like iron Hill. Definitely try the mushroom soup.
I always enjoy the food and ambiance at this establishment.
Good place to take your wife or mistress for dinner.
Our expiences at the Chestnut Hill Iron Hill have been inconsistant at best. Even with dishes frequently ordered the quanity and expecially quality often is different from on time to the next. At a restaurant such as Iron Hill the thing one expects is a certian level of quality and consistency. Recently we have been less than pleased with our go to dishes.
The food is always amazing and so is the staff. Turned into a great date night between the music, the food, space, and staff, everything was great.
Many go for the fact that they have an on-site brewery but I like the menu which has a wide variety of offerings and something for everyone.
I loved the ambiance. My buffalo wings were not so great but the Philly cheesesteak rolls and our entrees which was the Teriyaki chicken and Moroccan Salmon was delicious.
We thoroughly enjoy our meals at Iron Hill Brewery. The food is very good and the service is excellent.
The waiters and waitresses are very knowledgeable and patient.
My partner and I have been to Iron Hill Brewery - Chestnut Hill perhaps half a dozen times. I must say that the food is surprisingly well and consistently prepared. The last time I ate there I started with some very competently prepared fish tacos (my partner elected to start with a Hawaiian shrimp appetizer, which was rather meager in portion size but quite nice; the tender shrimp were coated in a spicy sticky sauce and cradled in butter-lettuce cups) and finished with a crab-cake main dish (my partner chose a burger, which he found acceptable but not stellar). The crab cakes were very good, and as I mentioned there were two, which is often not the case with crab-cake entrees. We had a scooped-out variety of french fry (I called them "potato canoes") that was quite nice, and sweet-potato fries, which are a little chunky for our taste; thin and slightly crispy would be better. One of the dipping sauces accompanying the sweet-potato fries appeared to be a remoulade, while the other was a strange concoction that smelled of vanilla (I referred to it as "vanilla scented-candle sauce"). Our server seemed slightly dull-witted and was not terribly attentive, but she got the job done.
This is my easy going place to go get something to eat. Love that I can make reservations so no waiting when I get there.
Good food, good atmosphere. I love to eat here. My friends enjoy it too.
Our waitress was Excellent. Very sweet.
The waitress was great - attentive, friendly, not intrusive but also there when we needed her.
My husband and I both had the shrimp and sausage dish - fabulous! Will be my go to dish every time I visit.
We enjoy and look forward to going there often. It is a fun relaxing place with good food and drinks.
We had someone in a wheelchair and they were very accommodating. We visit very often. Food and service was not as good as in previous visits but still enjoyable.
The cheese on the nachos was not melted
Don't go here. Service was terrible and management's response was worse. While the food was fair, it's not worth the prolonged wait and the lack of attention. You can do much better.
Service was very slow. Took about 25 mins to get water and a beer. It was crowded but they had a ton of people working and drinks took forever.
This was our first time to this location, and we were very disappointed. We have been to four other locations and loved everything about the restaurant from food to the service, to the amazing draft beers. Our server was phenomenal and went above and beyond to deliver stellar service. However the entrees were very disappointing compared to what we are used to at other locations, some of the dish was even inedible.
This was my first time at this restaurant, I will be going again very soon.
very good waitstaff; attentive; good food, wish my wife had let me know that her fish was only ok
I already sent my review to Iron Hill Brewery on their website. Appalling service. It shouldn't take an hour and 45 minutes for the waitress to ask us if we wanted desert. There were only three of us and we were taking a guest for a luncheon celebration - but were embarrassed by the lack of attention. We had to keep tracking down our waitress.
There was “salmon banh mi” on the menu. It turned out to be a salmon burger on a burger roll with a couple slices of cucumber on it. I sent it back and waited for a hamburger. By the time it came, the rest of my party finished. My daughter ordered a falafel burger. It was mushy and had none of the usual spices and toppings one would expect.
