Seated right on time. Server friendly and attentive.
We went there for St. Patrick's day on a Saturday so it was quite busy. Although things were a little slow, that was to be expected so it was not too bad. The specials were quite good.
Salmon Came out over cooked. My grandmothers meal came with asparagus (not as an add on but printed on the menu) and her plate came out with only chicken and potatoes and a massive hole where the asparagus was to be. They then brought her cold asparagus. Wait staff let dishes pile up on our table and had to be asked to remove them, they just kept bring out new plates with nowhere to put them. Never returning for food there again.
Well to start we had a reservation and still waited about 20 minutes for our table even though I specified that my leg was broken, I wanted to avoid being in a crowded waiting area. We were sat and I don’t feel the server paid us much attention, although as a couple we don’t require much typically from servers, he seemed to just check on us in a pass by. The food was just okay I probably wouldn’t recommend it. Overall the experience was fair but I probably won’t be back any time soon.
This was our first disappointing visit to Iron Hill and it was not the server's fault. We ordered a salad to share which was brought out within about 10 minutes. However, our salmon dishes, while tasty, were brought out before we had finished our salads. The salmon sat and was lukewarm by the time we ate it. The kitchen was definitely working with a different time frame.
Iron Hill in Chestnut Hill is always at the top of our list of places to go. Great Craft Beer (their own) along with a diverse and tasty menu, everyone is sure to find something they like. The server was good, and the manager came around to check on us. This time, we joined King of the Hill club ~ we like it that much.
this is my 3rd or 4th time at this particular establishment. I always have an enjoyable time here. the staff are professional and friendly and the atmosphere is perfect. Awesome for a group gathering or a quiet date night with your spouse. I do recommend making reservations earlier in the day or the day prior to your dining date. My husband and I had reservations and we were seated fairly quick considering it was a Saturday night . the wait time without a reservation was 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Highly recommend the cheese steak egg rolls as an appetizer.
My husband and I was doing a date night everyone and everything down to the food was great
Just really enjoy their great food, great service, friendly staff !
The staff was excellent. Food delicious. Definitely a kid friendly place.
This was my first visit and it was great. The food was delicious, the server was patient but the Restaurant Week menu was not flattering.
Our server was very friendly and nice. She had to be reminded about a few things along the way but it was not a big deal. The food quality has decreased some. We used to go here quite often, haven't been here in a little while, and wasn't thrilled with the quality of the food. It was still good but not as good as previous visits.
I take my family to Iron Hill all the time. We always come here because of the selection and the reward program is very useful when feeding a family.
My only greivence is that it got really dimly lito in the evening so having a business meeting with paper was hard to view the print.
Server had difficulty hearing due to a crying baby and small children. Other than that, it was fine.
Excellent service. Nice environment Food was great.
Four high schools friends got together, had a good meal and excellent service. Parking was a bit tough, but once we were at lunch it was great.
My second visit in 2 weeks while visiting the Philadelphia area. Will be back again. Great experience both times.
Service was excellent and we our entire party enjoyed their meal. I would recommend and visit again.
The restaurant is ok, nothing special. I prefer other IH locations (because they feel less like a chain) but go to this one sometimes because it's close and there's parking. On this visit, the food was ok but the sauce for "Thai Chicken Wraps" was quite salty. I didn't realize how much until I had the 2nd or 3rd wrap. I would have sent it back but I was too far along. The service is typically good. The restaurant is popular because it's family-oriented and gives off a neighborhood feel for those in the bar section. I would recommend to others that are less fussy about their food or just need a quick place to eat.
I like everything about this place.
My server was very polite and the food was delicious . I will definitely be back.
Menu has changed but food was delicious as always. Our waiter John Paul was outstanding. Would ask for him next time we go.
Iron Hill CH is our favorite, go-to neighborhood place. The Bourborn Blossom is my favorite. I had the crabcakes and they were yummy! On this particular night the service was mediocre but overall, a great night at Iron Hill celebrating my 50th birthday.
Always a wonderful time.
More noisy than usual but the service was great and the food was good.
Burger was delicious fresh side salad. Very wide selection of beers Waiter was very knowledgeable on beers and how it's brewed and taste which was very helpful had a very nice lunch
It was just right for a get-together with friends!
Stellar evening out with a friend. Food and service were spectacular. Piper, and later Logan both are outstanding, efficient, and friendly servers. The mead special was awesome and a visit from the brewmaster was great. Thanks for a great, fun evening.
Over rated food. Had half chicken plain, boring and way overpriced for what it was. Cold tasteless mashed. Philly has great restaurants this isn’t one of them. But definitely go if you are into unique beers.
Great dining experience with friends. Food was awesome and our server, Piper, was the best.
Food was very good. Portions were excellent. Service was very good. Would definitely go there again.
Amazing service!! My husband really loved the new beer Sweet Leaf and of course the wine is always spectacular. We truly love coming to this restaurant!!!
Mostly, the food was good. However, my pizza was doughy and was billed as a mushroom pizza (the Garcia), but had very, very few mushrooms on it. I had ordered a pizza when the Chestnut Hill IHB first opened. It was not good and I didn't order another one til now. I won't order it again. The fried Brussels sprouts and Breuben were terrific.
I am so sad that I forget our server's name because she was excellent: professional, pleasant, conversant and on top of everything. The food is consistent and is good. There were options for the vegetarian in our group. I would recommend reservations on a Friday night. It was very busy but we did not have to wait for our reserved table.
We were disappointed that the Ahi Tuna salad is off the menu but the quinoa salad was very good. Paul out server was excellent.
I would like to thank the amazing staff for accomadating myself and my guest, there we're more people than expected and they we're able to get us all seated as we celebrated my mother's 88th birthday.
Service was extremely slow (even appetizers and kids foods we waited for over 45 minutes!) food came out very under-cooked. Waiter was not good at all!
Great beer and not all "hoppy." Better to order from the bottom half of the menu--burgers are fine, for example. The more expensive options are disappointing, the quality mediocre at premium prices. Service and atmosphere excellent.
