Good service, great beer selection. Menu has quite a variety on it. Food and service very good at this location.
The parking lot across the street is now off limits to restaurant guests forcing us to hunt for a spot which ended up being far away. While the food was tasty as usual, the portion sizes have decreased. For us, sadly Iron Hill has lost its luster.
We eat here frequently. The only problem this visit was they forgot to serve my brother the onion soup he ordered.
I came here in the fall visiting my daughter and the food was decent but device wasn't great. Back this weekend for a visit and thought I'd give it another try. Made reservations for 6:45 but we still had to wait 30 minutes. Our server, Jazmin, was very rude. She rushed us through our order. My daughter asked for ranch when our food came. Jazmin disappeared for a good 20 minutes and we finally had to ask another waiter. All three of our glasses were empty. She showed back up and collected our dishes and brought the check and didn't do anything about our lack of drinks. Our food was pretty decent but we will not be back.
Great! Kid friieny!
My Date: "Amaaaaaaazing , send cheesesteak rolls ASAP lol "
Me: absolutely fantastic. Yes more cheesesteak rolls pls.
Everything was great from the atmosphere to the service.
The food was absolutely delicious. The weakest link for us both were the korean barbecue wings but that was a personal preference forus as the spice level was more than we would have liked but the wings were cooked perfectly
Decent food. Service was good, but restaurant was mostly empty so there should not have been much to distract the servers. Our server was a little too familiar and "witty." I go to restaurants for the food and service, not to get what a server thinks is funny about the time we take to make a selection or a choice of beverage. The food is usually pretty good here, although at this visit the Brewben sandwich was rather thinner than on past visits. The fries were quite good, and the beer selection is impressive.
Outstanding french onion soup. Very good schnizle not so great rib-eye. Great service
We had a quiet delicious lunch of hamburgers. Noise level was nil so we could have good conversation.
we had to wait for our reservation at least 15 minutes after the time of the reservation then we had asked for a booth and none was available the portion size has decreased and the prices have risen the menu has shrunk management in not as it was
Our reservations for 6:45 were not honored. We had to wait 45 minutes for a table. They kept telling us a few minutes more. Front desk was extremely chaotic. Hostess was dealing with many frustrated customers also not being seated at reserved time. Others behind desk seemed to be standing around. Once seated, they forgot to serve us the soup we ordered. We told them to forget it but soups came out anyway once we finished! They need to learn how to deal better with large crowds, honor reservations and not overbook. With two children, it was especially aggravating.
Took 1 hour and 15 minutes for our food. When it came, 2 of the 5 orders were wrong. One of the returned orders did not come yet as the rest of us were done. Will probably not return
We always have a great meal and the beer is refreshing
I love the pan roasted chicken dish and have gotten it at least 10 times and have always been real happy with it (my favorite item on the menu there). Until this past Friday night. The piece of chicken they served me (a leg and 1/2 a thigh?) was so small, it was a disgrace. And on top of that it was dried out and no juice on the plate. New Chef? I don't know but it was terrible. The waitress was outstanding but I did not complain to her and I tipped her very generously. I hope it's better the next time I order it.
This restaurant was moderately loud as usual. The mesclun salad was delicious with mesclun lettuce, pistachios, craisins, and shredded cheddar with a wonderful vanilla orange vinaigrette. We had a hankering for baby back ribs. Unfortunately, the meat lacked tenderness and I didn’t care for the barbecue sauce. The sweet potato fries were only fair. We don’t plan to return; however, I would definitely order that salad for takeout.
Timing of food coming to table was terrible. One person was done eating his meal when everyone else’s meal came out. A long night.
Been to Iron Hill both in center city & Ardmore
My daughter ordered a big salad w/chicken & I had the flatbread w/ mozzarella cheese & sauce
It came out "cool" not even warm..did not want to send it back...was tired & hungry
Told waitress everything was ok, which I should not have done
Should have sent mine back
The beer was exceptional, and the bar staff who served us before we were seated were friendly, and offered some samples to help us decide what to order. We were seated at the time of our reservation in a very nice table, though very close to the the kitchen and a bit noisier than I would have wanted. Our order was taken and drinks and apps were brought quickly. The waiter was helpful when I asked about dairy in my entree, checked with the kitchen, and assured me that it was dairy free.
Three of our party of five got their meal in a reasonable amount of time, especially considering how busy the restaurant was. It took about five more minutes to get my meal, but when it arrived it was on a bun that looked like something that would have had milk in it. After asking again, to be sure, I was told, "yes, we're sorry, it has milk, in fact all of our rolls contain dairy." Luckily I hadn't eaten the bun, though I don't have an allergy, just a dairy intolerance. Four of us ate our meals (the food was very tasty), while waiting for my eldest daughter to get her food. (She urged us not to wait.) We inquired numerous times, and despite the fact that we were a mere 10 feet from the kitchen door, her entree didn't arrive until after the rest of us had finished. To quote the waiter, who was very frustrated, "I don't know where your food is, but you won't be paying for it."
The situation was so bad that even after giving my daughter her entree for free, they deducted an additional $40 from the bill. The fact that they recognized that we did not have a positive experience and reduced our bill was one of the redeeming things about the evening and makes me feel optimistic about returning. I will probably go again, for the beer especially, but I will need to be mindful when ordering food; the servers and even the managers did not seem to know which foods contain allergens and were not very careful about serving me food that could have caused a health problem for me.
I always enjoy going to this place. The service is great and the food is always good. My wife loves the mix drinks.
Very good food ! Service ! Great beers !
We made a reservation and we were taking our table right on time. Our organization had arranged for a percentage of our check we donated to our organization and that was handled perfectly. Our waiter was personable and completely informed about our menu questions. Our food was served within a reasonable time and although one in our party did not receive his side dishes immediately, our waiter took care of that issue within minutes. Overall our experience was terrific
We love Iron Hill Brewery in Ardmore. Food is dependably good. Great beer choices. It's our default place to go. Reservations for Friday and Saturday nights are essential.
Fun restaurant. Great place to go with family.
Iron Hill has become our family go to. Wish the menu was a little more expanded - seems to have shrunk recently.
We've been to Iron Hill a bunch...this was the first time we had Jonathan for a server. HE IS THE BEST. He was talking TikTok with my daughter...he sang an incredible version of Happy Birthday to my son...he was funny but respectful with my elderly family members. Ask for him! (as for the food...well, the Brussels sprouts weren't as good as I've had there before...but everything else was fine...it's a nice easy family friendly go-to in the area)
We went for dinner and have had dinner at other Iron hill Brewery. Our server was disconnected from what they were doing. I order a bourbon on the rock and it came to me and all the ice had already melted. The cost of $28.00 for one glass of bourbon is a little extreme. Our dinner was not much better. I order a salad along with our friend who came with us. My salad came but my friends did not. I had to flag down our server to get her salad it came and she didn’t get any time to eat it because the entrées showed up three minutes later. I ordered the Shrimp and Sausage Étouffée the shrimp and sausage were over cooked and the rice was under cooked. My wife had the salmon and it was over cooked and dried.
For what it cost for the dinner we expected better. We will not recommend this place to any one.
Generous servings, average quality main course.
Very bland taste.
I go to Iron Hill often, usually for lunch. It was very busy. The portions seemed smaller than normal.
My go to spot when dining with a small group of long time friends. We can always find great food and drinks. New to the Ardmore location - liked it much more than Media since it seemed more open.
Only issue was parking - but thankful the lot down the street was empty. Not many available handicapped spots but we were fine based on the time we got there.
Our waiter was amazing. Will definitely go back again.
We’d love to see a lower alcohol IPA more frequently. On this visit, there were seven IPAs available, including cans, and the lowest ABV was 6.4%.
They delivered the wrong food. They corrected it
Also no special s on the menu.
Fabulous food and fabulous service!!
Fundraising event for my child’s school. Fast, courteous staff. Kid friendly atmosphere.
Offered tastes of new beers to help us select an enjoyable one. Great, pleasant service. Very good food selection and quality
Iron Hill Ardmore does not honor reservations. They put walk-ins on a wait list. When a patron (such as my party) who has a reservation shows up Iron Hill puts that party on the bottom of the existing wait list. We had a 6;15 reservation and walk in to the restaurant at 6:18 exactly. We were seated at at 6:43, and several walk in parties of the same size were seated ahead of us. Reservations are meaningless.
Once we were seated at 6:43, it was not until 8:10 that we were served our cocktails. It was not the server's fault at all, but he was over-burdened and could not adequately see to his assigned tables.
The food is mediocre. The service is terrible. The place is noisy, dark and rundown.
I didn’t like how many veggies were in chicken lettuce wrap should be more chicken. I loved the lobster flatbread. My bf loved the steak. There was an annoying fruit fly the whole time.
Food was good. Server could have been more attentive. At one point, had to ask food busser to find waiter to order a drink.
Love the food, the service was amazing, the place is nice and organized!! I will be back I guarantee it
Enjoyable as always, but the noise level gets extreme at times. Also, the booths can be pretty
The service was horrible. The waiter came to the table to ask what drinks. Gave us our drinks with no straws. Had to wait until he came back for our dinner order to get straws. Dinner was served by someone else and we were almost done eating and in passing our table asked if dinner was okay. We did not want to stay for coffee and dessert and my husband had to ask him as he passed the table for a check.
