Great dinner, my husband and I really enjoyed the drinks and the orange glaze shrimp was so tasty! We will be back!
Facility clean, decorating out of date, nothing for Valentine holiday, no placemats or tablecloths. I know that is the trend but it still matters to me.
My husband and I decided to have dinner at this hidden gem on a Sunday night after a packer game. We went around 7 and there were a few families finishing their dinners, which made for a quiet night. For starters I had a Carmel apple Moscow mule, which was fantastic! For an entree I had the Sunday chicken special and it was delicious! The chicken was smoked, the skin was golden and crunchy while the inside was juicy and tender. As a side I chose the recommended roasted corn waffles that accompanied the chicken and those too were delicious. My husband had a steak and it was cooked perfectly. It came with a roasted pepper purée that was also delicious. I can not tell you enough how delicious our meals were. They truly have a culinary artist creating delicious masterpieces.
Service was great. Food is always great and consistent.
The chef is very creative and the food was fantastic. I had asian bbq shrimp and grits with kimchi. Sounds odd, but it was a very composed and tasty dish. The best kimchi I've ever had.
Chef Brandon's duck two ways special was amazing! Don't let the fact that the Iron Grille is a restaurant in a golf clubhouse fool you, this is amazing food!
Great staff and excellent food. Everyone was very friendly!
The food is innovative and very tasty. One of us had the smoked chicken special and although the flavor was good, it was hard to eat due to the toughness of the skin. The shrimp and grits were great. The other two entrees were equally satisfying. It is surprising to have such innovative food in such a casual atmosphere. Although the venue is very casual, it does not detract from the enjoyment of the food. The only reason I mention them setting is that you wouldn't come here for a romantic or very special occasion dinner.
We love eating at the Iron Grille and will continue to enjoy the experience we have everytime we dine there
Had the Friday fish fry. The fish was excellent. I brought friends who were dining here for the first. They loved it.
Great meal excellent waitress and I love the easy way to get a table on line.
Environment was great. Like restaurants that aren't loud. Food quality very high. Waitress not very knowledgeable--was she new? Have always had good meals. Menu very original, which we like.
New Year’s Eve. No alcohol beverage included. Soup good , half a cup. Entree, vegetables good . Gnocchi lukewarm & dry. Shrimp & lobster good taste but lukewarm. Very limited portions. Dessert ok . One alcoholic drink ,coffee & 2 nonalcoholic beers. $100 including tip! Way too expensive for a meal for two 😔. However the service people were FANTASTIC !!!!
We were looking forward to the bulgolgi, which was still on the website menu but had been taken off the list, despite being popular. That said, the food was uniformly delicious, creative, and beautifully prepared. The ambiance is more Days Inn Conference Room than quality restaurant; there's no sense of the intimacy and elegance that the food deserves. We will surely go back, though.
The service was very good, food delicious and served hot. Again, very attentive server.
The menu at The Iron Grille is ambitious, and lived up to its promise. The four of us ordered several small plates, appetizers, and salads, and shared. The tater tots were light, crisp, and flavorful, as were the cheese curds. The salads were very fresh and lovely. The charcuterie plate had a great selection--those pickled beets were the best I've ever had--but I thought the description was a bit different from the actual dish. The bulgolgi was tender and flavorful, and the accompanying kimchi had just enough heat and acid. Our only issues: The ambiance was lacking (too bright and more like a hotel conference room than a good restaurant), and the servers should have been more knowledgeable about the food. We will definitely go back again.
We really enjoy the Iron Grille. I would recommend it to anyone. Nice view of wildlife and the landscape of the course makes for a pleasant experience. We saw an excellent sunset reflecting on the water from our table. The food is great and ever changing so it is always fresh and interesting.
Our visit was delightful. Service was prompt and "business personal." The dishes were prepared with attention to presentation and the flavors were outstanding.
Just one thing: You might want to consider turning the music down for older folks who don't hear well. I's hard to have a conversation with the background music so loud. Eventaully, just before our meal was delivered, someone did turn the music down a bit. That made our stay more romantic and comfortable.
It was our Anniversary and we loved the food!! So good and such friendly service, could not ask for more!! Highly recommend!
Great service and the food was delicious. Had the cheese curds (i mean I'm in Wisconsin) and the NY strip steak with grilled onions and garlic mashed potatoes. After dinner the atmosphere was wonderful, with the group at the bar making feel at ease and even included me their conversation when they found out i was from out of town. Definitely going back when I'm back in the area due to work.
Beautiful drive to Iola. . . chef's special menu is outstanding. Super good fish fries. Very attentive wait staff.
I was very happy with the service and the food. Staff are very friendly and readily available. We had a large group with some small messy children. We were made to feel very welcome!!! I would definitely come back.
