One of my favorite restaurants. I highly recommend it. I do suggest making reservations early if you decide to go for dinner on their busiest days during the week and on holidays. Not many tables, so seating is limited.
My wife and I look forward to every visit to the Iron Bridge, and this time exceeded expectations for a special Valentine's Day dinner. Their Gourmet Food and excellent, attentive service can't be beat!
AWESOME.., my husband and I eat here at least twice a month so we know the people and food well. However our meal today was extra special ... special "the bass" was over the top .. the sauce made me pause after my first bite ..., and the pork belly was great as always
Excellent food. The hanger steak is perfect. The plantain gnocchi with short rib ragu was fancy comfort food. This makes two weeks in a row for us. Might be our new favorite cozy spot.
The appetizer (grilled Brie), the bread was burnt and generally the selection lacked flavor. My entree, flank steak was also burnt and extremely chewy. It had been a while since I have been to this establishment and I was really looking forward to the food. Overall underwhelming.
Valentine’s Day. The price was outrageous but everything was great. I wouldn’t do it again because of the price and the price alone. Service, food, ambiance, etc were all excellent.
We had a wonderful 4-course Valentines Day meal. The special menu had nice offerings for each course. Our selections were beautifully prepared. The service was attentive and the meal was nicely paced.
Great place , great food . Great people !!
Valentine's Day lunch was very enjoyable and service was excellent.
We love Iron Bridge Wine Company and eat there several times a year with wonderful meals. The service and the food quality is always really great! But for some reason this past week, we got there at 7:55 for our 8pm reservation but we're told our table wasn't ready ans we could go to the bar to wait if we wanted to. We stood there for a while because we wanted our wine with our meal, not necessarily beforehand, but then ended up going to the bar and it ended up being over a 35 minute wait to get our table.
We couldn't figure out what took so long because there were some open tables when we got there and other people were seated before us. Then we were seated it was at a table for 4 but my reservation was only for 2, I double checked. I'm not sure what the wait was for so long or why we were seated at a bigger table when there were other tables for two open. Anyway it was just disappointing since we've had so many amazing experiences there and always loved the place. We will definitely be back but hopefully will not have to wait so long next time.
Delicious food, informed & attentive staff. Great date night!!
The food is always very good. The service is generally good, but the last 2 times I visited, my wife and I had to wait an exceptionally long time for the entrees, with one steak coming out cold. Generally a great date spot, but kind of ruins the date when you have to talk about how long the food is taking. Hoping this isn’t the new service norm...
The service was excellent and my filet mignon was “melt in your mouth” cooked to perfection. A wide variety of wines is offered; our server recommended a Cabernet that was bold and full of flavor. Really enjoyed it. The sorbet selection for was delicious and so refreshing. The card signed by all the restaurant staff and complimentary chocolate lava cake were a nice surprise for my birthday.
We made reservations for a Sunday. The price could not be better we got an app., main and a dessert for $40. Our server, Matt, was outstanding. Everything was delicious, our favorites were the steak tartar and the lamb. The desserts were out of this world-the s'more and the creme burlee were perfect with our madeira .
Our only regret is that it over a hour from our home.
Nice meal with new friends we met traveling . Dan did a very nice job as our server.
The lamb was very fatty and there was some sort of undercooked pasta served underneath it. For a “house special”, it wasn’t very special. The Brussel sprouts were fantastic.
My 5 siblings and I celebrated my Dads 89th birthday here on Saturday. Outstanding on all levels!
The food was solid, the service was friendly, and loved the ambiance. This is definitely a place I would go for special occasions even with the casual dress code and not a weekly dinner date restaurant.
The food was good but nothing seemed to be a home run.
My wife and I came to Iron Bridge to have an early Valentine's Day celebration. We were very excited to try the restaurant based on its reputation. Boy, were we disappointed!
We were a bit surprised by the lackluster performance of our waitress. She was pleasant enough, but had no energy and seemed to just be going through the motions. When she disappeared for 10+ minutes, we had to flag down another server to order drinks.
The food was the biggest disappointment of all. I ordered steak tartare with foie gras. The steak was cut into large chunks and was completely unseasoned. The foie gras was basically a semi-cold, dense hockey puck of liver. A crispy cheese cracker placed on top was so salty, it completely overwhelmed the rest of the dish. Overall, it was just a poorly executed plate of food. My wife ordered rabbit roulade as a first course. The roulades were wrapped in bacon, and unfortunately, that’s all you could taste. Being a mild meat, the rabbit was completely overwhelmed. They might as well have just served us a plate of bacon.
I ordered the halibut special for dinner, and my wife ordered a flank steak with yucca fries and root vegetables. My fish was completely overcooked and dry, and the sauce it was resting on was so salty that it was unappetizing. Paying $32 for a piece of dried out fish in ridiculous. Fortunately, my wife’s steak was cooked as she ordered it, but the sauce was over seasoned, and she literally could not cut through the yucca fries, even with her steak knife!
The servers did make excellent wine recommendations, and the cocktails we started with were great. We ordered a crème brulee with chocolate ganache for dessert, and we enjoyed that.
Overall, our experience at Iron Bridge was very disappointing, especially considering the amount we paid for dinner and their great reputation. We feel that we will not return unless there are big improvements made in the kitchen.
Iron bridge is a great place for lunch. If you order the quiche or the omelette, it comes with salad and fruit so it’s a complete meal. If you order the 2 for 20, you can get an appetizer for the table - we had fabulous Brussels sprouts - as well as an entree. At lunch, it’s usually quieter. We were in the room to the right as you enter, which has a noise level that is in the ear plug range when there is a big table in the middle, but it was all small tables and therefore it was easy to have a conversation. Everyone had a lovely meal and we were able to talk to each other, plus the wines of the month looked great and we snagged a cote de Rhône we loved for $11. As long as there isn’t a big raucous party at the long table in the room on the right, it’s all good.
Best wine list in the area .........Always a great experience at the Bridge !
I love this place. The food is always terrific and the service is great. Highly recommend.
Iron Bridge never fails to impress! I'm always happy when I can ask for something "medium rare" and get it properly cooked!
Iron Bridge has been a favorite spot of mine but this trip was a little less satisfying. Our server was a little to happy and had to be reminded to bring us our second drinks. My husband did not think his ribeye was that good though my chioppino was quite tasty. Would have liked more variation in the menu.
Another a delightful dinner! The muscles were really flavorful and good size. Just love this place.
We have been here 3 times and each time it has been really good food, nice wine selection and great service!
The food was excellent, as usual. Unfortunately, services fe was slow and spotty.
It was our 2nd visit. Food was good but our dinner took forever and mine was not cooked properly. They gave us a complimentary dessert but after sitting for 30 minutes waiting for our entrees we were a bit disappointed.
I brought some friends to Iron Bridge because it is one of my 2 favorite restaurants, period. Fortunately or unfortunately it was still restaurant week-the good news is we got delicious food at a great price. Bad news is we sat down at 7:15pm and did not get out of there until 10:22pm! Absolutely delicious starter: calamari and salad: watercress apple & walnuts arrived promptly. Dinner-bad choice on my part: plantain gnocchi (too mushy no texture though the braised beef was good)-took over an hour! Ouch. Manager did give us gift certificates to use should we return.
