Iron Bridge Wine Company - Columbia
Our party of three senior ladies had a good time and considered this a favorite spot to celebrate special occasions. Each of us has different meal choices and the menu accommodates us. The staff and restaurant are very accommodating to our specific needs - low lighting, easy access and delicious food. During the holidays, however, the noise level can make it difficult to carry on personal conversations. Otherwise, we have always been pleased with the quiet intimacy.
Delicious food, interesting and excellent choices for wine at reasonable cost, and most importantly the service was fantastic!
This is our favorite restaurant !! Food is delicious, the wine selection is outstanding and the staff is personable.
Amazing, cozy place. Great atmosphere, great staff, great food!
Although we live in Baltimore City, we drove to this restaurant after multiple recommendations from friends. It lived up to the hype and many locals love it and are regulars. The wine selection is very good and you see wines you don't normally see at other restaurants, plus they offer flights! Our appetizers were brussel sprouts (very good) and a trio medley including baba ganoush (good). Main courses were a seafood stew (okay) and veggie pasta (good). The desserts were banana break pudding (very good) and creme brulee (excellent). They offered a charcuterie and cheese board, which I wished we got. The service was awesome - from being accommodating in pushing our reservation time, to the lovely note and champagne toast for our anniversary, to our very friendly and happy server. I wouldn't hesitate to come back to try other items on the menu, and the service can't be beat, all for reasonable prices.
Christina is the best! She is always smiling and great at suggesting wine and food!
The food was delicious; service excellent
Always a lovely time at the Iron Bridge. Changing menu and delicious food.
Iron Bridge is one of my go-to restaurants since I can always rely on good service and excellent food. It's nice that the menu changes with the seasons and that there are specials, too; this would seem to indicate that the food is fresh. (I was a bit surprised, though, to hear from a server that the flatbread appetizer isn't made in house, although I think that's the exception.) The creme brulee is as good as advertised; it's a fantastic way to end a meal.
One of my favorite restaurants! Great food and great setting. I love the wine store too. I’ve eaten here for over a decade and it never fails.
Husband, friends and I met up for a week day lunch. I'd seen their reviews and our Columbia friends suggested meeting for lunch there. It is a really cozy restaurant. I made reservations and wasn't sure they were necessary for a lunch weekday but was glad I did. We had a table for four by the bar. There seemed to be a slightly larger area with tables to the side area which I understood could be reserved for private parties. There were a few tables for two tucked away for a sweet quiet romantic get-away. The service and food were awesome. I wish we lived a little closer because this would definitely be a neighborhood regular!
As always fantastic food, and fabulous service!! Thanks Amanda, and everyone who stopped by our table to say happy anniversary! Love you guys! The Radtke’s!
Good customer service, but the remarkably average cuisine does not justify the high cost on the menu.
Excellent food and service, a favorite for special occasions
It was a wonderful dining experience. Though the dining area is tight for space, it feels more cozy than crowded. The lighting is rather dim, but it adds to the ambiance. As for the menu, I enjoyed a brie topped hamburger that was excellent. The menu is varied and much is locally sourced. It's an excellent option for dining in Columbia.
Katie and Christina are awesome! Katie knows her wine and how to suggest pairing with your food and or likes. She is very authentic in personality and easy to have a conversation with. Thanks for reminding me of my pink envelope!!!
I have never been disappointed here! The food is excellent and the wine selection is outstanding.
The restaurant is cramped, loud and over priced for what you get. We would not recommend it.
WE TOTALLY ENJOYED MY HUSBAND'S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION THERE AT IRON BRIDGE! ...
THE FOOD AND WINE WERE
THE AMBIANCE WAS GREAT AND VERY COZY IN THE ROOM WITH THE FIREPLACE!
THE MANAGER WAS VERY NICE AND HELPED ME WHEN I CALLED TO CONFIRM DIRECTIONS FROM WHERE WE WERE HEADING!
LASTLY, OUR SERVER WAS
Absolutely loved the Brussels Sprouts and the Brie !!! Our server made wonderful wine suggestions such a wonderful place. I thought that the main dishes were not good as in the past but will come back.
Went here on a Friday night. Was able to get a seat at the bar. Place was pretty full, but not to loud. Their wine selection is always very diverse and well selected. The selection rotates often so there is always a great wine available. We had the grilled octopus which is a regular dish there and very tender with a tad of char. Very delicious. On their rotating menu they had cioppino. This is some of the best cioppino that I have had. The mussels and clams were done perfectly. There was a nice portion of white fish as well. Great dish. The staff are always attentive and helpful to ensure that your wine selection is paired well with your meal. Great experience.
Been a little while since our last visit and everything was excellent. We had the opa, lamb chops and cioppino for entrees, along with flat bread and fall greens for appetizers. The best thing may have been the apple crisp. Looking forward to another visit.
You cant go wrong at Iron Bridge. They take a page out of the Napa Valley restaurants I have frequented. Fresh food, with an innovative flair.
Great service and intimate mood
Great as always. Nice to see more moderate price options added.
Monday steak night—excellent, tender meat. Wonderful service.
Engagingly presented plates and excellent flavors. Attentive service. Quite busy on a Sunday evening.
Excellent Sunday brunch and amazing service for our anniversary celebration!
My most recent trip was a family night out with my wife and in laws. Everyone loved the food and the Brussels sprouts were a hit, as usual. Everyone was able to find a unique meal that they really enjoyed and the drinks were great. The only hiccup was that one of the seasonal vegetables, a squash of some sort, hadn't been cooked long enough. As a result there were some tough bites when eating our veggies. It affected two of the five of us. I've never had anything like this happen at Iron Bridge prior to this so it won't stop me from coming back again. We love this place.
Good food and very helpful staff on wine selection.
Celebrating our 27th wedding Anniversary! They had complimentary glass of champagne for us and a card signed by their staff. It was a magnificent dinner and service. Our second year celebrating our anniversary at this restaurant, we are looking forward to celebrating it there next year again.
My go-to place for business dinner. We ended up having dinner at the bar. The 14oz ribeye was a show stopper! The server opened up my eyes to Bordeaux! It was fantastic. My friend had the Opah, which was amazing. Everyone is so nice. Love this place.
always love coming here. great friendly service in a romantic atmosphere. creative dishes and fresh foods. fabulous wines.
This was our second time coming here. Our first time was after we got married and this time was our anniversary. We got the same location and server and I could have not asked for a better night!
All was great but the wine we had was just so so. Would still go back and not order a flight.
Just delicious. We celebrated another birthday and our expectations were met/surpassed. Food is such great quality.. Drinks were great. Service and servers' knowledge outstanding. Never feel rushed here, although they are busy. Definitely a place for a special occasion.
I have been to the Iron Bridge many times, but last nights dinner was fantastic! It may have been that dinner service this past Saturday was slow by IB standards. We both got the steaks me the hanger and my best friend the Rib eye. Unfortunately we did ask for the steaks to be rare and hers was served more on the medium well side. She said it was soo good she continued to eat it! Will happily return to the Iron Bridge!
This place is awesome! Our server, Matt, was very knowledgable about the menu and super willing to help with any question we had. We were celebrating our anniversary and he brought over free glasses of prosecco to help us celebrate. The food was delicious and came out in great time. Overall experience was so great
This is a reliably enjoyable restaurant. You won't find one like it in an urban setting like D.C. or Baltimore. It's a somewhat rustic and fairly quiet atmosphere. You select wines from the attached wine store. The menu offers fairly standard fare - kind of updated comfort food, well made, and enjoyable. I've driven there several times from downtown Baltimore (it takes 25 - 40 min, depending on traffic), and will return.
Food was bland. Pumpkin soup was unlike any other I've had and not in a good way. Overpriced and not worth the trip.
