Iron Bridge Wine Company - Columbia
Great menu, wonderful wine pairings, thoroughly enjoyed
My Husband had to fly to Detroit to attend a funeral on VALENTINE'S Day...
So he decided to take me to IRON BRIDGE the day before VALENTINE'S.
OMG! So glad we did!
TJ was our waiter and went over and beyond!! Awesome person period!
We had the white Bean soup. It was DELICIOUS. I only wish it was piping hot...but that is the only negative this whole night! Everyone who comes to this restaurant has to order the CRISPY BRUSSELS SPROUTS!! Just order them. Trust me.... even if you may think you hate them...just do it!! They are the best I have ever had. My husband who "hates" BRUSSELS SPROUTS ..now loves IRON BRIDGES BRUSSELS SPROUTS 😊. lol
We both just wanted Burgers so we got Roseda Farm Burgers. They were cooked to perfection and I really loved the apple wood bacon and the Brioche Bun.YUM! I also loved the nice crispy sea salt fries.
My absolute favorite...except for the Cenyth Mertage Blend wine (perfect!!!)
Was that Creme Brulee!!! OMG
I might call and get that Dessert weekly
I do live pretty close!! My husband enjoyed the Apple Crisp with vanilla ice cream very much! Thanks!! See you soon!
The waiter when we first arrived knew nothing about sprecials, food, or the wine. He said something smirky to my wife and she was insulted. We then were greeted with a new waitress who did not know the menu either. How can a restaurant hire staff that cannot represent the food they are serving. We bought a bottle of wine and it was opened. The waitress never offered to pour our wine when our glasses were empty. This was my 6th and last time visiting this restaurant as I find you get much better service when you sit at the bar. This latest visit made me feel totally irritated.
Great way to celebrate my birthday with family and friends. The food and wine are always great as is the service.
Definitely have stepped up their game. It seemed quieter and Kennedy, our server, was knowledgeable and attentive. We will be back.
We were given a gift certificate for Christmas to use at the iron Bridge company. We plan to late to go they are on Valentine’s Day but instead went two days before for dinner. Our server Amanda was excellent and extremely attentive throughout the evening. She helped me pick a flight of wine to pair with my dinner. As I am not wine connoisseur, it was extremely helpful to have her make suggestions. I can’t even tell you the exact wines I had but they went delicious with my dinner selections.
The lightly Battered calamari as battered calamari Was cooked to perfection!
I had a fabulous entree called BROCCOLI RABE & CACIOCAVALLO BAULETTI ...
[Roasted Garlic Cream Sauce, Bacon Lardons, Cured Egg Yolk, Shaved Parmesan] I had it topped with a breast of chicken that was perfectly cooked.
My husband enjoyed the BRAISED BEEF SHORT RIB...
[Creamy Parmesan Polenta, Braised Rainbow Swiss Chard, Charred Tomato Demi Grace] which he could be cut “with a feather“. We talked her nail off with desserts. My husband enjoyed the Greenville day that was smooth, rich and chocolatey on the bottom. I am the other hand had the Apple crisp which topped off my meal in a perfect way! A perfect night, with rustic charming Decour and ambience on a dreary rainy night. In the future I’d like to go back so we can try their Monday night special or even the Wednesday night which would be delightfully reasonable. We may even try to go back there soon In order to enjoy a charming lunch.
Food and wine was great, we had a great time!
Perfect ambiance for an intimate dinner. Fabulous selections of wines too. Will return soon.
First time there. A enjoyable meal; food was perfect and the server was personable. We have already made a second reservation, having recommended it to another set of friends.
One slight complaint: It is a wine bar, and while their selections are excellent, I think they need a few more in the $32 to $40 range. They had wines on their list that we selected -- as a first choice and then as a second -- and then the server came back twice to advise that neither was available. I rejected the first 'counteroffer' (after learning that they had no additional bottles of my second choice) but then picked it after another bottle was bought that sold for $10 more. The latter bottle was about $15 - $17 more than the $40 bottle I believe I originally requested. This marred the dinner slightly but perhaps others would have viewed this as not much of a problem.
Brunch options weren’t the best
This is by far one of my most favorite restaurants. The food quality is outstanding! Definitely a foodie location. 250+ wines on the shelf, great selection!
The service and ambiance were lovely. The food was tasty but my main complaint was that almost all the dishes served were cold. Food would have tasted a much better if
Excellent service, 5he food was delicious and overall a nice evening out. The brussel sprouts are always wonderful!
Our waitress, Stacey, really made the night.
It was great for special occasions, but probably a little more expensive than I would like to spend on every day meals. However, the food was great and so was the service. All around it was an excellent experience and I would reccomend the restaurant.
I love this place. Healthy food selections that taste and look good!
We are seriously picky people, so those four stars represent an excellent dining experience in many ways. The calamari were the second best I've had in thirty years. The creme brûlée, same. Mussels, same. Brussels sprouts were the best ever. Service was a tiny bit understaffed at lunchtime leading to a few delays. Ambiance is a little uneven due to the limitations of the original structure, but very pleasant overall. If I were going to make just one change, it would be to train the servers to scan constantly for eye contact, almost like lifeguards scan constantly for distress. Second change would be to add a tiny amount of salt and possibly a tiny amount of some other seasoning to the calamari batter. The broth for the mussels could also have been a fraction more assertive. No one could possibly improve upon those brussels sprouts, which were sublime.
I have had two really good steaks in my life - both of them have been at IBWC. I'm not saying they are a perfect restaurant, but they do try and they do come close to that impossible mark. Even when I had to wait for my table, I had at least two staff ask me if I wanted to order anything to drink while waiting. They take pride in their service and the management looks to them to provide the best front line possible. They then follow up and make sure things are good during the meal. Every meal there has been a wonderful exploration in wine and food!
You have to try the Crispy Brussels Sprouts...they are amazing! Even people who don’t like Brussels sprouts end up loving this dish. The Grilled Brie was an excellent appetizer choice too!
i always love coming here but this was just a weird night due to our server. we came to use our red envelope and it was for a free dessert. we ordered a bottle of wine and were trying to decide what to order and he kept coming over asking us if we could put our order in. we ordered an appetizer and then he came back over and was insisting we put the whole order in. finally we just said we wanted dessert. it was obvious he was wanting for us to pay and leave. i guess we were his last table? anyhow we love it here and will come back but i hope we don't get this guy again.
We went to Iron Bridge to celebrate my niece's birthday. As always, the food and service was outstanding. You do not want for anything when you are in this restaurant. The short rib entree and spinach salad were outstanding. I highly recommend and make sure you do reservations in advance, they get really busy, even during the week nights.
Everything about this place is just top notch - the service, the food, the ambiance, and they have fabulous monthly deals on some of their finest wines.
As always the food was great and the wine fantastic. Staff was warm friendly and attentive. A wonderful time
I went to Iron Bridge for Sunday lunch with family, as the location was in between Harford County and Northern Virginia. It is a cozy restaurant with a great wine selection and a nice menu. The restaurant was very busy, but it was relaxing, and we did not feel rushed. I recommend Iron Bridge Wine Company for a relaxing Sunday brunch or lunch.
Our server, Matt, was amazing. He customized wine flights for us based on our dishes and tastes. As always, the food was delicious!
Restaurant week gave us girlfriends to grab a delicious late lunch and to catch up. Wonderful experience
Love celebrating at the Iron Bridge with friends and family.
Took my husband for a nice lunch. The food was delicious. Our favorite was the Brussels sprouts....believe it or not. We aren’t Brussels sprout fans but the kimchee, leeks, garlic and glaze made a great explosion of flavor. The only downfall was that they didn’t do anything special for my husband’s birthday. That was a bit of a bummer.
Great! Call ahead and let them know it is a birthday Ahead
Of time :)
Fantastic food and wine pairings. Never been disappointed in the last 4 years of coming
The food was fantastic! Service was great as well. Love the wine flights!
Great dinner at Iron Beidge once again, but don’t get seated by the bar on a Friday night.
Always delicious! Their mussels are big and juicy. Their spinach salad was perfectly dressed and BIG. I always love their creme brulee with chocolate on the bottom.
We have been steady customers since the place opened.
We are there several times a week! Try it is GREAT! :-)
Everything was wonderful as always!
Prefect day to catch up with friends!!! The food was phenomenal as the service and ambience! Had a long lunch and never felt rushed! The best!
The food and service were great. The waiter gave us perfect recommendations, and the wine guru gave me a great recommendation for wine.
2nd time going to this restaurant and it was lovely as the first. Very cold day and a part of my entree was cold but the server took it back to have it reheated. Then the manager came out and apologized profusely and gave us a certificate to come back. Although we were upset about the dish the manager went above and above to ensure we would come back. I would recommend this quaint place. Check it out!
Had a wonderful time with great food, drinks and outstanding service!
This is my third or fourth time at Iron Bridge. It never disappoints! Both my friend and I are pregnant, so we celebrated our birthdays with specialty crafted mock tails that were delicious. The appetizers (grilled Brie and fancy Brussel sprouts) were the best part of the meal! Outstanding. Everything was tasty and we left far too full and happy to have enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant.
