Alex our waiter was the Best!!!
Good ambiance, created by medieval castle touches in the design of the pub/restaurant. We enjoyed Sunday brunch there (be prepared for the large portions!) and they have large regular menus for lunch and dinner. Wide range of craft beers to delight the beer connoisseur.
First time visiting and it won't be my last. I ride by it all the time, but just able to now finally try it out. Met a friend for lunch, and so many good choices. The only thing I didn't like was that they only offered the bottomless soup Mon-Fri, and I was there on a Saturday afternoon for lunch.
We had out choice of seating, and the waitress was very informative of things we asked about from the menu. We ended up ordering the fried calamari, the chilli, and the fried crispy sandwich which came with fries. All were very good.
This place was pretty cool. Only thing I'll say is that the spinach and artichoke dip didn't come anywhere CLOSE to Applebees spinach and artichoke dip. You guys should just order some from Applebees and try to copy their recipe. THANKS
Ambience: on a busy night - crowded my salmon was slightly overdone. Waiter was nice, but perhaps too busy and served me the wrong ale. I go there because I'm a huge fan of Belgian ales, but I find that I have to put up with the noisy crowd, an inconvenient location and barely adequate parking. Maybe it's just me, but I find the interior decor to be phony and contrived. I guess that's what you get for a concrete bunker of a building with fake brick and wood on the inside.
Michael our server was very informative and our over all experience was awesome
We were here several times in the past, and I feel this restaurant has gone downhill. The food selection was lacking, it was bland/dry and over fried. The patio area was frigid. The only decent part was the wait staff. We paid a lot of money for a below average experience with food no better than Applebee’s. This could be (and was) a much better, unique experience!!
Fun time Great beer and drink menu
Mussels were fantastic
Husband had Bison burger very good and cooked just right
My fish tacos were lacking fish
We would go back
The Braziallian sampler meats were extremely dry and cold . Left note on booking the reservation that it was my birthday and nothing . Extremely disappointing birthday .
It was my second time here, with a party of four. Both experiences were nearly identical. Laid back atmosphere, great waitstaff and excellent food.
The food simply wasn't good. I got the Original Sin "thing" - don't know how else to describe it. A slab of beef, with a sausage on top, wrapped in a bread coffin, with sandwich meat on top, drowning in a bath of bottled gravy, with a fried egg on top. One of the more disgusting meals I've ever had. Everything was over the top salty and thoroughly unappealing.
Food was a cut above the usual pub. Excellent and items not often found (e.g., braised pork shank). Service was superb. Be forewarned that Friday night is crowded and noisy, but I'd be a regular here.
The food was excellent; beer selection is outstanding. The beer store upstairs was also worth the trip, many beers to choose from.
Ordered the BBQ smoked platter for $28.00.
Being that it is attached to Na Brasa, a Brazilian steak restaurant, and is pretty much the same restaurant, one would think the meat would be good, right? Not!!! When the brisket was dry and tough, wasn’t even sliced properly - I’m no chef, but even I know to slice it against the grain - to the ribs that were inedible - couldn’t even cut them apart with a knife. When I mentioned that the platter was inedible, the waiter took it back to the kitchen and told me that those ribs weren’t meant to be plated and do I want fresh ones! Really????
Also, the appetizer scallops - were chewy!
They do have an extensive beer menu. Just don’t eat there . Cheers!!
Great service by the waiter. Exceptional selection of craft beers. Has Tired Hands beers on tap.
The food tasted great but there was a piece of plastic in our appetizer
Good food with good selection. Tight table placement
This place is a gem! The food was fantastic! We went during happy hour so the prices were phenomenal! I had the vegetarian burger, hummus and my sister had a regular burger! We had wine....awsome...totally recommend it! Did not want to go next door, the food here was great! Just do it!
The food that was ordered was very bland. The drinks were fine
Our server was awesome. The food was average, and the bar sound traveled to the restaurant area making it extremely loud and difficult to enjoy dinner.
Selection of food and drink was good for a bar.
We stopped in on Black Friday for lunch. Ample seating. Beer selection was great. Food was really good, as was the service
Excellent food. Wait was long. Reservation for 7:30 and not seated until 8:30.
Ridiculously loud. Drink Menu was hard to read since the print had stuck to plastic sheets. Food menu not organized well for apps. Had to ask where to find them and they were in 3 different places. Server seemed to want to rush us out even though the place was emptying and there were open tables. Came back for payment about 5 times in 10 minutes.
Quick seating, great atmosphere. Busy not not overly loud. Server was great. Food was quick and tasty. Definitely go and definitely try the Downright Manhattan and the BA Old Fashioned.
Our server Kevin was great. Wish there were more servers like him.
Food was good but took a while for the fish and chips to come out and when it did it was under cooked. The management and our server were extremely attentive and accomodating. We will definitely be back again.
Met up with a friend to catch a soccer match. Bar was busy with soccer fans, and the single bartender could have used some help. Good food, good beer selection, and a great place to catch a game with friends.
Always have a great time. Shannon was an amazing & attentive server.
Fries were over cooked and the filet sliders were a little disappointing. Seems like it’s a really nice place (great atmosphere inside) but I think the food was a little off. Service was a little off too considering we were there for lunch and it was not crowded at all. Would give it another shot.
Have been to The Abby many times. Love the cool medieval theme decor. Food and service always excellent and oh a must is to go upstairs to the beer room and the whiskey bar!
Food is consistently delicious. One of my favorite dishes is the pork chop, nice thick cut and cooked
To perfection !
Menu is different in a good way compared to what you would find in most other pub settings. Food has always been excellent . Superior choice of beer as well.
Standard bar fare prepared with a minimum of effort. We ordered salads and the portion was meager and not fresh. We asked for a table in the quietest area which was honored but then the hostess sat a family of 6 with an unruly kid adjacent to us. The dessert tart was a soggy reheat. Disappointing.
Great food and beer selection. Service was outstanding.
Met a business colleague for dinner and we ended up having an assortment of appetizers from the happy hour menu, which were delicious and filling! My colleague enjoyed a couple of IPA's and I had an excellent Malbec. Always a fun environment and will definitely be back!
The service was terrible the food was just okay not a good first experience don't see a reason to go back don't.
The Loft at Iron Abbey was a HUGE surprise. If you're a whiskey, scotch, bourbon drinker, just head upstairs. The food menu is the same but the vibe is much different.
Many years ago we used to regularly visit this place when it was Julies. After a long span of time found it again as the Iron Abbey and loved it. Staff was great and pleasant, food was good and we enjoyed a drink at the bar that was one of the best we had had. So of course, this place will be on the list to visit many more times in the near future.
The happy hour here is incredible. Well worth it! The service was a bit slow, but the food made up for it.
Awesome food awesome service will be back.
