Good and tasty
Love Irma’s! Great food and great service!
Everything was great. Ask for Moses!!
Service lacked, as well as the salad...dirty patio.
Dare to try boar tacos, they were amazing!
The food was fantastic simple menu with Mexican and wild game options. Very tasty
Service was some of the worst. Ordered drinks 15 min later they came out. Asked for the check 20 mi later it was brought. They were not busy (bar or restaurant) yet the server would disappear for 10-15 min and had to be flagged multiple times to come to the table or asked for.
The icing on the cake was 20% service charge for a party of 5 paying 1 bill.
No manager or hostess on the way out.
Too bad, fantastic food and really bad service leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
Nice the sauce on the tacos was spicy and it was not noted on the menu nor did the server mention it. If I were not on a time line I would have sent them back. It’s hard fir me to enjoy food spicer than my taste.
The usual great service and attention to detail.
Irma’s Southwest was a great restaurant to have a meal before an Astros game. It is very close to Minute Maid Park. They take reservations on game day which is great because some in the area do not.
Service was great, orders were promptly taken and delivered. The Irma-Rita was amazing & refreshing.
Grilled salmon (substituted for blackened) was cooked perfectly for the salad and the Combos #1 and #2 were both excellent. Can’t wait to return to try something new!
good local mexican food joint. good for eating solo especially at the bar. friendly staffs.
Overall we had a great experience. The waitress we had was remarkable and very helpful when I was deciding what to order for my dinner. We’ve eaten here before and will definitely return!
Delicious food. Best margaritas in Houston. Wonderful friendly wait staff.
My open table started 6pm as requested. Irma's had it for 7pm. They worked with us and we only had to wait 15 min. Not sure where the mis connect came from.
The Pollo Verde is my favorite meal - but the enchiladas are great also!!
Outstanding food and service. Josh our waiter was awesome and knew the menu well. This was very helpful with our first visit.
The staff is always amazing and always help the experience wonderful. Delicious food and beautiful ambiance as well.
Food was just OK was hoping for more of a southwest influence. Servings were small for the price.
Great place, plan to go again. Staff is friendly and the food is fantastic!
Fantastic food and service. I asked our waiter what he liked to eat there and he recommended combo # 3 (not on the menu). It had a chicken tamale, some amazing pork and a cheese enchilada. With rice and beans. So very good. The sauces were amazing. And so much food I could only eat half, so we chopped the remainder up for breakfast the next day and added some eggs and had enough more deliciousness to feed 2 people. This was our first visit. We will be back!
Nice restaurant, but food and margaritas very expensive!
Great Tex Mex upscale fusion. Relatively quite open dining area. Easy to carry on a conversation. Attentive service
Liked it... live in San Antonio, know enchiladas Close to Minute Maid Park... very convenient
Good neighborhood Mexican restaurant with lots of meat options.
I can honestly say that I had the best meal of the year here, and I was not expecting that!! We eat out quite a bit and I guess I have high standards that are rarely met, but I am still thinking about this meal!
Pollo Verde - beautiful presentation with perfect taste/textures and spicing! We will be returning, as my husband loved his chicken mole enchiladas also! The hostesses and wait staff were all very nice and attentive also!
Irma’s is a beautiful, relaxed environment and the staff is very friendly and attentive. The drinks were interesting and delicious. The food was good in many ways but the fajitas were a disappointment (skimpy on the meat and not much flavor.) and the fish tacos needed some more pizazz! We were also surprised to find that we had to pay for the chips and salsa if we didn’t order guacamole or queso. We will try Irma’s again before an Astros game, but just order accordingly!
We we were so very pleased with our first visit to Irma’s Southwest
It by far exceeded our expectations & we will most certainly dine there when we are in Houston again.
Food, service and drinks were very good.
Great place to meet before an Astros game. Convenient location with an upscale dining atmosphere.
Hard to get past the prices; hard to "get" why either a traditional tex mex or new century tex mex limits choices on basics like beans and rice, may sound pedestrian, but my view. great location for before Astros game, great service, but a bit high priced for amount of food, not why I go to get mexican food.
Great food. Great service. Try the bacon wrapped axis!
Very good fjfjfkdkdjdn djfjfdkddjd djdjdkdkdj
Irma's is one of the best (if not the best) Tex-Mex in Houston, and that's saying a lot! There are a lot of Tex-Mex places here. Everything is wonderful, and they really make you feel at home by always personally thanking you for coming and welcoming specialty orders. Their roasted salsa is amazing, as is their mole sauce. The new location downtown is really nice and doesn't lose that small town, friendly feel that Irma's is known for.
We enjoyed everything especially the greeters and the waitstaff, everyone was awesome, i believe our waiters name was Josh! :)
Fantastic food and service! We will definitely be back!
Margarita and quacamole were good. Had boar and deer tacos. The deer tacos were a little more moist but tortillas had no flavor and there was no sauce on them.
The food was flavorful, the staff was polite and attentive, and the convenience to Minute Maid Park is tough to beat.
The food was very good but I was really surprised at how small the portions were for everything we ordered, including the drinks. So value was not very good. Also, our waitress disappeared for awhile for a staff meeting which seemed odd
Wonderful food and service. Parking can be an issue downtown during the week so the valet service also made it easy.
