Located at the southern end of Cragun's Resort, Irma's Kitchen celebrates a tradition of good cooking and scratch-made food. Housed in the historic Hungry Gull Restaurant, originally built by Walter and Lena Frampton in 1926, where Lena cooked three hearty meals a day, lumberjack style. In 1946, Ben and Eleanor Curry became the new owners and expanded the restaurant. The property changed hands several times until 1988 when Dutch and Irma Cragun purchased it. Even today, Irma's Kitchen maintains its rustic style log cabin feel, serving delicious house-made cuisine in a cozy ambiance with picturesque views of Gull Lake.

When you come to dine, take notice of the original Pastry Cooks cupboard, which was salvaged from the original kitchen and refinished to retain the building's historic charm. Experience Gull Lake's best restaurant and enjoy Cragun's dining legacy.

The food was excellent including much needed vegetarian options that are missing in the lake country. The standard menu items were excellent as well. Service was excellent. They only note I would give was the Wagyu Ribeye was definitely not Wagyu. It had less marbling then standard steaks in most steak house. It was perfectly cooked and tasted great but the price was much too steep for what amounted to a standard ribeye. I would highly recommend the restaurant though as everything else was spot on.

The outside seating overlooking the lake was very enjoyable. We were seated promptly upon our arrival, we had reservations. The server’s greeting was warm and welcoming. One of the reasons to dine here is the significant number of dishes that are gluten free. We’ve been to Irma’s on two different occasions. The first time we’ve ordered the blackened walleye which was way overcooked. The same was true for the walleye with the potato chip breading. The fish seemed like is was encased in the breading(it was gluten free). As mentioned the gluten free menu is a draw for us. However, the children’s menu has no gluten free dinners. So my granddaughter ended up having a grilled cheese on a gluten free bun and potato chips. The French fries could not be guaranteed gluten free. The prime rib and steak tasted good. However, the mashed potatoes were very cold. We enjoyed our evening dinning with our family at Irma’s. Will we be back. Most likely not.

We enjoyed a beautiful meal as closing out to our family vacation. Pauline was particularly kind and helpful to us. We appreciate her attention. Good was generous and delicious and nicely presented. Thank you.

The screaming children at the pool was a bit much. We didn't know or we maybe wouldn't have sat outside

the walleye was beyond outstanding the duck was a little chewy and not my favorite but the sauce and everything with was outstanding. I think I just do not care for duck. Friend had pasta and said it was great Service was point on perfect even though the server had many other guests.

Oh my! This was our very first visit, and went last night for the special dinner event for their season opening. Did we ever have a gastronomic experience last night at Irma’s Kitchen in Cragun’s Resort!!! We had 3 appetizers, wedge salad, 4 entrees: duck, two pastas and one salmon, dessert of strawberry shortcake and macarons. One glass of wine was Included in the price per person. Incredible!!! Our server, Pauline, was excellent, efficient and fun to have her take care of us. We also met, Melissa, the events & dining manager, and we had an enjoyable conversation. We will be back to Irma’s Kitchen during our stay this summer!
