We are Brisbane’s biggest and best Irish pub, providing the best craic in town! Located on one of the oldest hotel sites in Brisbane, it is generally believed that the first hotel built on the site was the Dunmore Arms, in 1865. In 1888, it was redesigned and renamed as The Treasury Hotel and used to serve the new government treasury building across the street. On 29 October 1999, it was opened as the beloved Irish Murphy’s that we know and love today. Our dedication to the traditional Irish Pub is immediately seen in the wooden bar tops, cabinetry and extensive collection of Irish knick-knacks that you can find in our CBD location, on the corner of George Street and Elizabeth Street.

You have to sit up stairs but have to come down to the bar to order your meal. There was no staff upstairs at all. Walked out after 5mins and went somewhere else. Won’t be back

You lost my booking. It was given to another group. We were not late yet when members of my party arrived well before 5 they were hastily shoved into a corner. This meant that none of us could eat as we almost all had to stand. Most of group left after an hour or so because we couldn't get to each other in the tiny space. Also the toilets upstairs were broken.

Booked a table for 10 weeks before, open table experience was great, received confirmation email & text a couple of days before which I confirmed. Unfortunately when we arrived at the pub there was no booking for us, we were told we could eat upstairs but there would be no staff to look after the upstairs bar. During the night the 2 staff on to serve the customers became increasingly angry at how busy they were to the point where we felt guilty at being there. Food was ok, not special. Sorry but would never use this venue as a work dinner location again.

Food, not at all bad. Irish Murphys however needs at least twice as many staff. The ordering queues were almost out the door, down the stairs and out on the footpath.

My wife and I had a booking for our wedding anniversary dinner, we turned up on time and there was no concierge, we waited around 10 - 15 minutes for the bar tender to stop talking to a patron and to serve us as another staff member ignored us (walking past us at least 5 times while cleaning), the bartender seemed perplexed when I said we had a restaurant booking. We ended up leaving and going to another nearby restaurant as we didn't feel like a valued customer. Sadly, we would not recommend this place.

Pointless booking online to dine at Irish Murphy's as there is no restaurant to speak of only a bar where you can order food from and you sit wherever you want. You only need to book for large groups, and this mentioned nowhere on their website. I got told this by a staff member, who knew nothing about my reservation, after booking and turning up to Irish Murphy's. So I walked off to find a better dining experience somewhere else.
