Super food and service
Great restaurant. Awesome food. Fantastic cocktails.
The food was fabulous. Atmosphere great. Service excellent
We asked about portions, they didn’t mention how small they were. They also try to rush you through your meal. They asked to take my plate twice while I was mid bite.
The mezze mix was a joke, $46 and they give you barely any hummus or the whipped feta dip (small amount of others but a thimble of the hummus, literally)… and TWO pitas. Two. The Greek salad was more of a tomato and cucumber salad with 2 olives, a few random leaves (literally enough to count), and maybe 5 pieces of feta. The moussaka was okay, definitely not worth even over $15. Save your money or take it to a better establishment.
Classic New York feel--really tasty good and great service. Would highly recommend!
Wonderful food. Attentive service. We had theater tickets and they kept up the pace while still giving each dish its due. Best French fries EVER! Lamb super. Flatbreads outstanding.
A terrific choice for pre- or post- dinner whether attending a show in the theatre district or Lincoln Center or Carnegie Hall. Mezze appetizers are varied and delicious and the fish spot-on. The room is a lot of beige but becomes lively when it fills with diners, as it was on a recent Saturday early evening.
Excellent food and service. The lamb is to die for!
My parents and I went here before seeing Caroline or Change at Studio 54 Theater. The food was delicious and very flavorful. We had the Truffle Manti, Greek Salad, Winter Squash Flatbread, Diver Shrimps and Scallops, and Dorade. For dessert we had Greek Donuts with Pomegranate sauce.
Nice new venue. Food excellent. Secind visit. Definitely going to go back
A longtime fan of all of Fraser's spots, this was the only subpar meal I've evr had.(We're all human). A bit more difficult have been the circumstances surrounding the beginning lunch service. Eagerly awaiting lunch service, I was delighted to get email announcing it. Reserved at once. Problem: no menu.Repeated e mails and two phone calls finally produced one, though after the first week of service it is still not online.
Our meals were underwhelming. Menu is disjointed and it wasn't easy putting together a lunch. A fluke crudo was all right, if a lackluster presentation. My Turkish spicy lamb flatbread was an uninspired, dry affair, with hardly a trace of the apparently priceless lamb(chops on menu are an incredible $65,
with only a sauce and I guess knife, fork, plate and napkin). My friend found chicken gyro mediocre. A relative bright spot: Heretofore my only complaint about Fraser has been what I consider his, even by NYC extortion standards high wine markups. A bit of diligence produced a satisfying bottle at only 425% markup with tax and tip. My friend won't but I'll probably return after awhile having enjoyed so many wonderful meals with Fraser OT only allows a yes/no response to recommending Iris. On the basis of four or five fine meals a reluctant yes.
Service was fine.
Octopus dish was OK but not inspiring. The lamb on Turkish bread not good. Salad not particularly good. Overall, disappointing. Especially given the price.
We have been to the restaurant several times. We love the food…always. Last night the service was not up to the standards of the restaurant.
Absolute perfection. The meal divine, service excellent (thank you Nicolas) and ambiance beautiful.
Delicious lunch. Perfect spot for a lunch meeting
Excellent overall experience. Expertly cooked meal, good service, beautiful dining room. An elegant restaurant to take your parents or celebrate a special occasion - can fit larger parties.
Really well prepared food, but a bit expensive for what you actually get. As an example, the size of the "large" greek salad is laughable. Service is frequently distracted but always friendly.
Excellent food! So delicious! Also, superb service ! As soon as I let the staff know I needed to be out by a certain time to catch a show they made it happen! Definitely recommend!
This restaurant is quickly becoming my favorite. The food is delicious, the service delightful and the general atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Nice place to relax and enjoy.
Had a fabulous dinner and cannot wait to return
Everything was perfect
Super delicious menu - our server Nicolas was so warm and welcoming - he made it a great experience!
We found the space to be nice and airy, but the downside is that the noise level is very high. The Host/Sommelier was great and was very knowledgeable about the wine list, especially the Greek wines, enabling us to try something new. The food was very good, especially the Hake which was light and delicious!!
Wonderful oysters! Spacious seating . We enjoyed every bite
A very pleasant lunch with friends. We could talk and hear each other. This is unique in restaurants these days. The food was quite good and the selection large and varied. A real treat to dine here. the service was friendly and good but like many restaurants now, they seemed to be understaffed.
The service was excellent: the waiter recommended an excellent white to pair with my scallops. The ambience was very cool, and the food was delicious.
We loved the ambiance, great decor, especially good if you’d like to have a conversation over dinner. Not loud at all. Suitable for dates.
Staff was very attentive, kind and knowledgeable.
Food was good, we specifically liked the Turkish flatbreads with spinach and squash. Dolma and eggplant were good but not special, same as kokoretzi. We found the rice pudding delicious.
Overall we liked it, high quality of Aegean food in midtown Manhattan and not predictable style, either. It is a bit pricy but I still recommend it.
The food was amazing. Drinks and wine great. The service, although friendly and efficient, was a little unprofessional. The dishes were "auctioned" at the tables instead of placed in front of the diner, (first knowing who gets what). The "runner" was reaching over the guest to pour sauce on other guests dinner. Dishes were being cleared before everyone was done eating. These are details which should be upheld in this kind of dining environment. The service should have the same high standards as there food/menu/atmosphere.
I'm hopeful they'll get it right in the future.
Returned here after having a great meal the first time but sadly it seemed pretty chaotic last night. Had to repeatedly ask for the check so we didn't miss a show as the food was very slow coming out. Our waiter was nice and thanked us for our patience but I was pretty stressed and disappointed.
Loved the food and I'm always looking for a Mediterranean food.
I've been in the business and I would make one suggestion: The appetizers were fabulous but I would make a more impressive display. The waiter brought over these little dishes and put them one by one on the table
and it lost its effect. Present them on a tray or display so that it gets the credit it deserves.
Also MUCH TOO NOISY. COULD HARDLY HEAR. PEOPLE WERE ALL COMPLAINING AND WILL NOT GO BECAUSE OF THAT!
Your outdoor terrace is very chic and well designed.
Excellent service and the food was spectacular. Highly recommend the quail!!!!
Staff was fantastic, friendly and informative.
Great overall package!!
Eggplant moussaka was terrible - mystery ingredients…
Noise level pretty high.
Hard to get any server’s attention at first, then it got a little better.
Pita was OK - $5.00 for a 5-inch skinny round;
Greek Salad had pieces of tomatoes, cucumbers and a few olives.
I would never return.
Always a good meal in a warm
And inviting atmosphere.
Lovely dinner. I had the salmon tartare and calamari as appetizers and the sea bass as my entree. My dessert was the pistachio baklava. The bass was my favorite!
Food is interesting, refined and expertly cooked and served. We ordered five small plates to share and the fried eggplant, humus and spinach flatbread were fantastic. Pita bread is fresh, fluffy and right out of the oven. The service is perfect - attentive but not intrusive.
Overpriced for the portion size. Tiny tiny portions and so so expensive!
Nice service, excellent food, and the noise level acceptable
But a large table of noisy people left soon after we arrived otherwise it would not give been good .
I will definitely return. Waiter with a full head of bushy hair was very attentive
Outstanding service and excellent Mediterranean-inspired food. Beautiful ambiance. A midtown gem
