Inzo Italian Kitchen
Founded in 2009, we had a desire to bring authentic Italian pizza and pasta to Roanoke, The Unique Dining Capital of Texas, and with Nonna's recipes in hand we did just that. We'd love you to come join us tonight. Don't forget to top the memorable evening off by striking a pose in our free photo booth.
Great location and really nice patio. Good menu, but would like to see veal options. The service is really not good. We had 3 different people come to take orders. Our primary server was in the weeds. It seems they only had 2 servers on a Friday night. We ordered 2 starters, scampi and meatballs that were delicious. The food was all great! We kept seeing bread go by and we kept asking for some, but it seemed that we weren’t going to get any. Also the table was too small. Love the wine bucket, but it took up the whole table. I’m hoping they get more staff because this really is a good restaurant!
They have the best pizza around.
It's was awesome , knowledgeable and respectful staff .
We were there to celebrate a friend's birthday and it was a late lunch situation. Not a lot of other patrons besides our table of seven. The service was impeccable. My granddaughter loved the photo booth!
This is hands down mine and my husband’s favorite place to go out to eat. We’ve been three times now and the food NEVER disappoints. My husband is the pickiest eater ever and he has devoured every dish he has tried. I am gluten and dairy free and am still able to fine a dish that suits me. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some amazing Italian food.
Their pasta is so perfect
Their pizza's number one
Their sauces make me salivate
Much like their stuffed calzone
The service was so prompt
And the atmosphere so clean
It was as great a meal
As ever I have seen
So if you're on the fence
Where to eat you just don't know
Let me declare emphatically
To Inzo's you must go
With half of the tables gone for Covid-19 spacing it was almost very quiet. Refills without asking was nice. Pizzas are generous size and well topped. Entrees reasonably sized and priced as well
Great food and service!
Was seated promptly on arrival. Friendly waiter greeted us quickly for our dink orders. Ordered Lobster Ravioli and Build Your Own Pasta which were both excellent! Finished with the Limoncello Mascarpone Cake. It was light and refreshing. This was might first visit and will definitely return.
It’s a beautiful family owned restaurant with amazing food & wine!
Good experience as always.
Great spot right on Oak street. Staff was attentive and friendly. We love their pizza. One pie crust could have been done a bit more in the under side but we will still be back.
Thanks! and thanks for the note, I'll pass it along to the kitchen.
While our meal & service was excellent, we found it disappointing that the waiters, servers , or any of the staff were NOT wearing masks . Also were disappointed that the menus were hard copies , not disposable or online as the other restaurants where we have eaten. While we enjoy Inzo's very much we will not return until the pandemic is over or their policies adhere to the guidelines.
Thank you for your comments. I understand and respect your right to chose what's best for your family at this time and won't attempt to pursued you to return until you are ready. I wish I had more than 500 characters to carefully handle this reply. A little insight; due to the heat and pace of their labor, I have allowed my employees to make their mask decision personally. The paper menus were hard to read for guests and digital was confusing, so we opted to sanitize the menus after every use.
One of my favorite places in Roanoke - great food and the outdoor seating was delightful.
Thank you for the review!
We enjoyed the evening with friends! The service was excellent. The food was amazing!! We didn’t feel rushed out. Drinks were refilled in a timely fashion. Food came out hot and delicious. Creme brûlée was perfect!
Thank you for taking the time to give us a review!
Wife and i enjoyed a dinner on the patio. It was a great time with the atmosphere of Oak Street. Great food and all around great place to eat.
Thanks for joining us!
We were celebrating my daughter’s birthday. The waitress was friendly And made the experience very Memorable. The food was outstanding each of us ordered a different dish and they all turned out perfect my daughter stated it was the perfect night with family and food for her birthday
So glad we could help deliver a great evening!
The pizza is the best I have ever had!!!
I took my family of 5 here for my daughter's graduation lunch. Everyone knew why we were there and were so gracious and attentive! The congratulated my daughter often! The food was delicious! I must try!
Fast and friendly service. Great cocktails and tasty food.
Food was amazing
Calamari was delicious
So was the lasagna
Will be back!
Food was very bland and uninteresting. Tasted similar to what you would get from a warmed up frozen dinner. Fresh Parmesan was the same they serve at Pizza Inn. Lots of potential here but poor execution. Waitress was great.
We love Inzo and so happy they were open for Mother’s Day! Excellent food, wine and service!
Great food and service! Highly recommend to anyone looking for great local italian food
The service level was excellent. We ordered the Italian Meat Lovers pizza and it did not disappoint. It was topped generously and the crust was perfect. We will go back again and try out their pasta dishes.
Delicious food and great environment. Great first night out if quarantine! Service was excellent.
Please help this locally owned restaurant stay around by ordering take out or delivery until allowed to reopen!
Opened front door near our table with a barrel and kept it open, when it was 50 degrees outside.... brrrr. Ordered eggplant parmesan with a side of spaghetti and it was basically a heaping portion of spaghetti with 2 small pieces of eggplant. When we notified the chef (through our waitress), we were informed that it might be considered ( it the waitress said she had told him that before and he is still serving it that way). I suggest they either change the name of the dish to Spaghetti with side of eggplant OR add some more eggplant to the dish to qualify it to be called Eggplant Parmesan. Since I doubt the feedback will be considered, we are extremely unlikely to return.
The reason the experience got 3 stars is that the service was good and the tomato sauce (a must have for Italian food) was good. But, with so many other options, why wouldn’t we go for the 4.5 to 5 star experience next time?
Great customer service and fantastic food!!
Came for Valentine's date and was pleasantly surprised by the immediate seating (even though we arrived 20 minutes before our reservation) and wonderful food at an affordable price. The drinks were great, the complimentary bread is amazing, and we had a wonderful expereince.
Everything was fantastic! We came on Valentine’s Day and we booked outside seating... it was to cold and the staff went out of their way to get us a table inside! We were celebrating my Late Mother’s Birthday and when the waiters found out she gave us the dessert complimentary! The food was also excellent!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT!!!!
Our food was a bit cold and the service wars a bit slower than usual. It was Valentine’s Day.
Ordered fried cheese sticks for a starter and they were served way over cooked. Had pizza for dinner and they had to make us a second one because they made the wrong one the first time. After waiting for that, our pizza was served burnt as well. Not a very good first visit. Will not go back.
Excellent food, outstanding service.....one of favorites!
I love so many things about Texas, things that constantly reaffirm my decision to move here 20 years ago. What I do miss from my northeastern origins is the prevalence of genuinely satisfying Italian food. Inzo goes a very long way toward filling that gap.
This was my second visit to Inzo. I arrived before my daughter and sat at the bar. The bartender was attentive, good at his cocktails and very pleasant. When my daughter arrived, he asked if I wanted to move my tab to the table, and I said I'd close it so he did not lose his tip. Without hesitation, he said that it did not matter, that whatever worked for me was fine with him. It is most rare and most welcome to encounter someone so unabashedly customer focused. Their happy hour was good as well, with discount wines and cocktails.
The food is quite good. The selection of pastas, pizza and appetizers is fairly broad, a good thing. Mains are focused on pastas, pizzas and salads. I would have liked a few more non-pasta choices like saltimbocca or the like. Their sauces, a ticket to entry for Italian cuisine, were tasty. I have had the red and pesto sauces, and both are delicious, though the pesto is a bit over-creamy (I like pesto with more basil, less cream or oil). Pastas are done fairly well, but the standard is served softer than al dente, so ask if you want it a bit more firm. That said, there was a lot of "mmmmm...so good" coming from our table.
Other things...the room itself is simple, open, fairly plain, casual. It feels comfortable. Their kitchen opens directly to the dining area, something I appreciated though it is not everyone's cup. There is street parking in front and a lot across the street. Come early on Friday and Saturday because that stretch in Roanoke packs them in. Prices are moderate, good for the level of service and the food. Roanoke is fairly cool, with a bunch of restaurants and bars within a walkable area.
In short, I really like and recommend this place and will return soon.
I have food allergies and they accommodate me with ease. The food was delicious and we had amazing service. We also had a lot of fun with the free photo booth! It was a great way to celebrate my birthday.
Great date. Ugh or family experience - love the photo both and downtown Roanoke is great !
We really enjoyed eating at Inzo’s. The food is great and staff is attentive. There was 4 of us and 2 of them were running late they kept our table and had one when they arrived
