Unique to Austin, but inspired by the popular concept experienced at small cafes throughout Italy, intero features an artisan chocolate counter in it’s front space. A variety of truffles, barks, and sipping chocolates in classic and Italian flavors can be enjoyed along with our locally roasted coffee program. Intero also offers a curated wine list and an engaging yet approachable cocktail selection.
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Inventive menu with a good blend of traditional and contemporary. Cocktail and wine list is excellent. We love sitting at the bar as the bartenders are funny and charismatic.
Outstanding dinner. We ordered everything off the Restaurant Weeks menu and was blown away. Keep killin’ it!
Amazing East Austin restaurant, unique Italian offerings! Great Service! Love the 1/2 off bottles of wine on Tuesdays.
Everything we had was delicious! Whether it was the simple ricotta with honey on sourdough focaccia to the duck risotto and wagyu beef carpaccio, the chef has an amazing way of blending flavors to take ingredients to their fullest!
This place never fails to deliver an excellent experience at good value. It's one of our favorites.
It was our first time to dine here. The unusual pairing of ingredients led to some fabulous flavors! The chef is an artist! Thanks to their participation in Restaurant Week, we are so glad we gave them a try. A four course meal for $50 was the special we ordered. The homemade gnocchi and shrimp risotto were so full of flavor, it’s hard to describe! We ordered their homemade chocolates for dessert. Just melt in your mouth deliciousness!! You can stop by and buy chocolates from their front case. We will be back!
The food was not to our liking. Every dish contained a lot of cream/sauce and was too rich. I think we were hoping for more Traditional Italian vs. so much farm-to-table. The wine was yummy and the service was top notch.
Fantastic food, really creative menu items with great taste. Our server was super attentive, helped us choose a wine that paired well with our meal. Will absolutely go back again.
Lovely and they put up a card and have us free chocolates and Prosecco since it was our anniversary - amazing food and delightful experience!
Went during Italian Dinner Collab night with Jesse Griffiths. Entire meal was outstanding and service was perfect. The fairy tale eggplant was especially mind blowing. It went from something I didn't know existed to possibly my favorite food.
We enjoyed a collaboration dinner event. The service and food were as excellent as anticipated, but what really sets this restaurant apart is their tremendous attention to detail. From lighting and table spacing, to cleanliness (top to bottom) and music selection/volume, you can really tell they are meticulous.
Truly enjoyable evening with a great local restaurant.
Thank you Krystal, Ian, and the entire Intero team.
Food was better than expected from appetizers to dessert. The only thing is I'm still in search of phenomenal pasta in Austin. I would say this place is above average. What I loved was the creative and pleasant combinations of flavors that you don't normally find in an ordinary restaurant.
Great food and excellent service. We’ll definitely be back again soon!
Staff is very accommodating. The food was pretty slow to come out, about an hour, but it was worth the wait!
Intero was delicious!!! We ordered about 5-6 dishes and everything was out of this world. Especially recommend the lamb!!!
Food was fabulous. Some of the best in Austin. The noise level was very high and made for shouting to be heard. We will either go very early or very late the next time.
Love Intero. Have been there to dine a few times and recommended it to people I know as well. Unsung gem of dining.
Delicious, beautiful dishes with impeccable service
Great ambiance, great food, and the servers were very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.
Wonderful!!!!!!!!! Bet staff on the planet 😁
Everything was very good but they need to fix their fruit fly problem. I killed 4 and pulled 2 more out of my wine glass!!
I could probably overlook any discomforts just for Intero’s food alone - the best, fresh ingredients in classic yet creative (but not fussy) deliciousness - but on our recent visit, there was nothing overlooked. The service was spot-on, could not have been better. The atmosphere felt full of life, but still very comfortable and relaxing - not constant-din loud or crowded feeling even though every table was full. Love the decor. The menu offered a good amount of options for everyone without being overwhelmed by choices. I found the prices to be quite reasonable for the quality and quantity. We shared a couple things from each block on the menu and made it all family style. Of the 10 plates that hit our table, there was not one “miss,” from bruschetta to charred okra, gnocchi to seared branzino. Fantastic. I don’t have much sweet tooth, but omg the roasted peaches and almond cake. Intero was an all-around outstanding experience. Definitely going back.
It was our anniversary.
We were greeted with a Happy Anniversary and table card along with a glass of Prosecco.
Each dish was delicious and brought out promptly.
And believe it or not the bill wasn’t outrageous.
We will definitely be coming back
3 girlfriends for dinner. The food, ambiance and our really nice and knowledgeable server all went to make a perfect night out. I know we will all be back! Truly first class!
The food was amazing. I loved the summery menu. I can't wait to go again.
The menu is very creative. The eggplant bruchetta was outstanding. I really enjoyed the branzino, it was cooked to perfection.
Really impressed with the food!
One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in 2019. The food is phenomenal. The carrots and burrata are must have dishes. Service is wonderful. Very impressed.
I went with my sons for dinner, and we had a culinary experience. Excellent wine choices and aperitifs. Truly expert preparation. Thank you!
If you are a foodie, you have to visit this restaurant!
The risotto was way too cheesy. It was more like Queso.
Intero Restaurant is a special spot in East Austin! When you walk you immediately notice the cozy, romantic ambiance and feel welcomed by the friendly staff who are all extremely attentive. All of the plates we ordered were so unique and flavorful, and the use of local, seasonal ingredients only enhanced the experience! You can tell the great care that goes into each item on the menu. I also appreciated their awareness of food allergies and dietary preferences such as gluten/dairy free. Overall a wonderful place to dine. Cannot wait to return!
Loved everything but they have a problem with fruit flies.. they are trying to resolve!!
Really unique, creative preparation of dishes. Excellent and attentive wait staff.
Not quite family friendly as far as price, but we could bring the kids for a special occasion and they would enjoy the food. I’m very excited to have this new little gem nearby. Our group widely sampled the menu and everything was great. Service was friendly and helpful when we had questions. Can’t wait for our next visit!
Wonderful place to have a delicious dinner. The small plates are amazing!
Best Italian restaurant in Austin! I enjoyed coming here with my friends who were in town. I've heard about Intero and always wanted to try it. Parking can be a little hard since it is a shared lot, but there's plenty of spaces around the restaurant. The seasoning is just perfect. They do have gluten-free options if you're asking. I couldn't find it anywhere on their menu. Also, a big plus is that they do make their pasta in-house, even their gluten-free pasta. I am a big fan of Intero!!!
I really enjoyed Intero and so did my friends. The food was amazing and the service was unique, informative, and giving. It did get quite loud towards the end of our dinner, but it’s a popular restaurant so...
Lovely meal. Teddy was our server and provided excellent service. The only complaint was that we were seated in the bar area immediately to our right when exiting the entry area. That was disappointing given that we had a reservation.
Intero is everything you want for a nice dinner in Austin. The food was incredible, the vibe is on point, the wait staff is friendly.
If you haven't been, BOOK A RESERVATION NOW. Hopefully the gnocci is on the menu, because it's to DIE for!
