i love all things Mina/Curry so was very sad to have such a disappointing experience. Food was decent-the sashimi appetizer and pork buns were delicious. The rest of the food was just very ok.
The cocktail was a huge disappointment. It was a large glass filled with crushed ice and so diluted I could barely taste the flavor of the drink much less the alcohol. I am a 1-cocktail person because I have a low tolerance, but this drink was probably virgin it was so weak.

The multi-level booths inside make the interior look like a diner and not the upscale eatery i was hoping for.
I won't go back, but hope they make some changes because I would like them to do well.

I really love this place but prefer to sit at the bar because you can order food a little at a time and oddly enough it seems less noisy. We had to request a new table because the noise in the atrium area was unbearable. Accolades to the person at the guest desk who made this happen!! It was less noisy in the main dining room but the music being played was too loud so other diners had to keep raising their voices to communicate resulting in noice chaos. The food was really delicious as always. I was disappointed that we were told we had to order all of our food at once and the wait-person didn't warn us that most dishes are big enough to share. Consequently we ordered too much food, our bill was higher than necessary, and it crossed my mind while calculating the tip that the wait person benefited from not giving us the needed advice.

Our party of four had a dinner reservation at 5:30 and they would not seat three of us who arrived on time because the fourth person was running late, even though we planned to begin ordering drinks. The bar was standing room only but we managed to get a drink. Once we were seated, the service was attentive. We thought the food was ok for San Francisco standards. Overall, the dishes are heavy and the ribs were disappointing (tough and bland once biting through the glaze). Expected a bit more from a M Mina restaurant (having been to many). That said, the bar area is lively (though too small) and, if we go back, it would probably be for drinks.

My guest and I split an order of a platter of three different types of ribs... 12 ribs all together. We also ordered a crab fried rice which was excellent but small. We each had a couple of drinks. Of course we couldn't pass up the key lime pie. I was very surprised to pay $140+ tip. Dinner okay for that amount but not for lunch. I will be back but just not anytime soon.

Sad to say, International Smoke was a let down especially as I set high expectations. The food was very mediocre and were really below par. Lettuce wraps , I'll take any Vietnamese restaurant on Clement or Tenderloin version anytime; Vietnamese Ribs - served cold, was not tender off the bone, dry, and could have been bought from a Chinatown deli (and the ones from them could have tasted much better); lastly the Cauliflower was served cold and quite bland. It seemed like it was boiled, sauce poured over and sprinkled with nuts. Menu descriptions were great but the product did not leave up to the hype.

The food was phenomenal from starters to desert! Everything we ordered was divine! Food was well flavored well prepared and service was excellent! One of our servers Julius was extra awesome! He was fun and provided great service to our table of 4! Thank you International Smoke for a great night out with friends!

Cool date place with a nice layout and vibe. Service was a tad slow and overall the food was good. Not great but good. Probably won't come back for dinner, but would be a cool spot for happy hour.

Hi guys, only thing is I made a mistake by going out on valentines night as I feel like we were shoved to the bar side where there are four tables. I really don’t like paying top notch money to be sitting at a table 4 feet from the bar. The two speakers for the bar area were right next to my ears as loud as could be. Lovely people working there and service was good, food great but the meet didn’t seem the nicest.

Food was great. Only complaint would be when I asked for the bill it took the waitress 15 minutes to give it to us and it made us late to a show we were headed to. Also they forgot a dish we ordered, it never came out.

Went with my husband for a special occasion. He spent his time watching basketball on the multiple TV's scattered around the restaurant and bar. Needless to say, he got an earful when we got home. I was not amused.

If I had known that this restaurant is nothing more than a high-priced sports bar, I would not have come.

The food is flavorful, as long as you are happy with every (EVERY!) entree tasting like barbecue. Personally, I'm not a big barbecue fan. Fish barbecue. Beef barbecue. Pork barbecue. Chicken barbecue. Tofu barbecue. Vegetable barbecue. You OK with that? Good, because those are your choices.

Will I be coming back? No. Will my husband be coming back? Perhaps, but not with me.

The food had some high points, but overall I was disappointed. I was with a group and we ordered a bunch of appetizers. The cornbread was very good. It was moist and had a nice sweetness that good cornbread should have. The Double Duck Wings were the highlight of the meal. The glaze was delicious with a kind of Carribean/Asian fusion going on. I expected them to be spicy, but they were quite mild. The Shaking Beef Lettuce Cups were fine, but unremarkable. I could have had something like this anywhere. The Crab and Thai Coconut Soup was very good, with a generous amount of crab in it. They had slices of raw jalapeno floating in it, which didn't really go with the soup for me, so I avoided them.

For salads I got to try the Smoked Burrata and the California Avocado. It was served under a dome filled with smoke. My first bite was almost too smokey, but after that initial shock I really enjoyed it. The beets were great. The avocado dish was very nice, if a bit simple. It was just a half an avocado with shredded jicama on top and a small amount of chili sauce at the bottom. It tasted very good, but I also just like avocado and jicama. If you aren't a particular fan of the ingredients, then there wasn't anything about this dish that would change your mind.

We got the combo rack of ribs, which is actually three half racks. Of the three the Korean Sesame-Gochujang glaze was my favorite, but the ribs themselves were fairly overcooked and dry. That was especially true of the American Barbecue ribs. They were so dry, and they left the silverskin on, which was very unpleasant. I feel like I could get better ribs from any number of take out barbecue joints. Very disappointing.

Yes, but they see themselves as a bit too precious to be more than a one time experience. Not only do they insist on a CC to hold a reservation, they then send multiple requests for you to confirm you are coming, again and again. Then when we arrived, 3 of the 4 of us were early and one person was running behind, they would not let us sit down until the 4th arrived, and this with the restaurant basically empty.

The food is always on point at IS. The wait staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. It is truly a wonderful experience to dine there. A little pricey but worth it.
