International Market originally opened in 1975, introducing generations of Nashvillians their first taste of Thai cuisine. Now across the street from the original location, Arnold and Anna Myint continue the family tradition by day and serve an evolved chef-curated menu by night. Inspired by their heritage and southern roots, International Market serves authentic Thai flavors by means of local and regionally sustainable purveyors.

International Market has earned the Thai Select Classic Award, a prestigious recognition from the Ministry of Commerce and Royal Thai Government, a first for Nashville. This award, akin to Michelin recognition, is prominent in major U.S. cities like Chicago and New York. Criteria include anonymous dining visits evaluating food authenticity, heritage, atmosphere, and hospitality. The restaurant upholds original owners Win and Patti Myint's culinary legacy, and showcases Chef Arnold's modern Thai cooking approach.

Every dish was excellent!! Delicately seasoned and fried, big flavors, classics and interesting twists, what more could you ask for?? A Nashville gem.

The food here is always perfection. This is one of the best restaurants in Nashville. However, our server, Ben W., was not a good representation of this fantastic little place. He repeatedly made comments to contradict our requests and refused to accommodate our simple requests. We recently discovered some serious food allergies and are working actively to heal. We requested he leave the cashews on the side (tree nut allergy) from the makrut salad and he said he couldn't so I thought maybe they were mixed in tge dressing somehow. So when the salad came out I was surprised to see the whole cashews just sitting there on the salad.....SO EASY to leave on the side. I requested more limes for our water and he told me "you do know you have two slices still there on the plate". He commented "you are all very particular about your food." This is rude. We didn't need his opinion. We spent close to $200. We appreciate the food and shouldn't be made to feel like we need to explain WHY we need cashews left on the side or tomatoes left out of fried rice. We will be back but hope not to have him as a server again.

International Market Has great menu choices and authentic Thai flavor. I recommend that you reserve the Hatyai fried chicken, it is fried to perfection and very flavorful. for this meal we ordered the drunken noodles which are flavorful and have just enough heat to let you know it is there. I will be returning soon

The food was amazing! My only issue wax with our waiter. He was a little standoffish, which made the place feel unwelcome. He was also a bit inattentive, despite the place being half empty. Other waitstaff appeared more present with their tables. I would definitely go back, but would be disappointed if I got the same waiter again.

Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in all of Nashville! Staff always treats you like a VIP (even though I, sadly, don’t make it there for dinner as often as I’d like!). Each dish has a perfect balance of flavors and all items come out in a well-paced timing. I have zero suggestions for improvement and try to introduce friends to this spot as often as I can. My recommendation is to take a group and share family-style so you can taste more! Loads of gluten-free or vegetarian options (even the fried chicken is GF- but do book earlier in the evening if you think you’ll want a chicken; they sell out). Try the Makku rice beer (also GF). The fries are a must (don’t miss the horseradish dip!). It may have been seasonal, but if they ever offer the dessert “soup” again- do NOT pass it up! (They had it in March but didn’t have it when I dined last night in May).
