    They need better service. Lunch was extremely slow and disjointed. We had a reservation, they should have been better prepared/staffed.

    What stands out for me with this restaurant is the consistently excellent service. The food is always terrific, but these days it's not so easy to find a wonderful service experience. And, unlike lots of restaurants these days, the music was very low key -- not blaring. My friend even asked our server if the air conditioning could be turned down a bit -- and it happened! Can't recommend this experience enough!

    Food never disappoints. Varied menu at reasonable prices. The servers are very attentive. For a birthday celebration, we even got a decorated latte from the barista!

    The food continues to be exquisite here--so interesting, unique and flavorful with middle eastern fusion influences. Our favorite restaurant in Marin. Unfortunately they removed the lovely outdoor seating area on the side of the building, so now the only outdoor seating is in front, where it feels somewhat dark and cramped. We don't eat indoors--we'd go more often if the outdoor ambiance was nicer.

    OMG! Our meals were outstanding. We've always loved going to Insalatas because of the food, ambience, and service but tonight was extraordinary. My steak was so full of flavor that I never got around to sharing bites with anyone. Our guests also loved their entrees. We four shared hummus with our cocktails, which was perfect. We expect great service at Insalata's, but we were greeted with a big warm welcome by wonderful Beth, which started off our evening with such a positive note. Our server was just perfect. She was attentive without interrupting the flow of our evening. We got there early, which was nice, and the restaurant filled up quickly within the following 3-45 minutes, creating a lively vibe. We love that they are open on Monday evenings.

    Thoroughly enjoyed the beet & burrata salad. I took it as my main dish and was worried it would not be enough. Quite to the contrary, it was plentiful and extremely satisfying. A fabulous combination of flavors and completely satiating.

    Usually one of our favorites but a really off night with bad service and just ok food. We will be back b/c we will assume it was an off night, but if this were my first visit I wouldn’t return.

    Insalata’s is one of our favorite restaurants in Marin. The food is always fresh, beautifully prepared, and delicious. We waitstaff is attentive and efficient. Our dinners always exceed our expectations!
