Built in 1880, The Inn was at one time a brothel, until it was raided by federal officers. The Inn was a favorite site of cowboys and teamsters, who appreciated the fine foods and jovial atmosphere.
Over 100 years later, the Inn at Tres Pinos is now a San Benito County Historical Landmark, carefully restored by owner, Mike Howard. The ambiance is intimate, rustic, and elegant. It’s country with a touch of class, and decorated in a style that is a reflection of Mike’s personal interest. Mike's grandfather taught him the the art of fly-fishing, and every year the family still fishes together at the Big Wood River in Sun Valley, Idaho. Mike married Mary along the Big Wood River in 2010, and the Inn has become a true family affair. Mike’s philosophy is “Keep it fresh and keep it simple.” His staff is personally hand picked and will make every effort to meet your expectations. The Inn at Tres Pinos is the only four-star restaurant in San Benito Country.

We had been going to the Inn for Mother’s Day for years and then during the Covid Pandemic, it was discontinued. They brought it back this year and it was the best. Great choices, great food and as always, top notch service! My wife was super happy with everything!

I just feel that a beverage of juice, soda or regular coffee should have been included with the Mothers Day Brunch. The overall food selection was great.

The selection was over the top. Not the usual boring fair. New York strip roast. Oysters on the half shell. Large Gulf prawns. Eggs Benedict. The salmon was presented in a stunning fashion. A fruit platter that was so large. I couldn’t even reach a lot of it. High quality fruit. Plus all the usual bacon and sausage and potatoes and baked goods. Made to order omelette station. Clam chowder. The tables were set far enough apart, so we were not crowded. This far surpassed my expectations and the price was very reasonable. Bases loaded home run!

Outstanding service, ambiance and food. We were there for our daughter's birthday. Julie was our server and she made our birthday girl feel special.

Worth the drive. Food delicious service excellent. Great for a special occasion. Delicious specials husband had rabbit on Easter and carrots. Don’t know???? Was that sacrilegious???
